4 A's Tree Service

The estimator came quickly after my call and gave me a firm bid for the job. I accepted and the appointment was made to do the work. They called more than a week early because they had some time. I said great. A crew of four came and had the work done in an efficient manor. I couldn't believe how quickly that were finished and on their way. The stump grinding was done later since officials had to come out and mark where the utilities were before they could dig. As soon as I saw the markings, I called and the stump grinder was here soon after. I wish all providers responded to my inquiries as well as 4A's does. I appreciate it so much.

4 A's employees were very polite. They arrived right on time. They discussed what needed to be done with us and they cleaned up the site afterwords. It was a very cold icy day but they did not let that bother them. Their prompt arrival was important because the day before we had noticed the root wad of the larger tree lifting from the ground with each heavy wind gust.

Due to high winds, a large branch from the tree in our front yard, sheared off the trunk and landed across our driveway, missing our garage by 2 inches. The branch was approx. 30 feet in length and with all the branches attached, measured about 35 feet across. I called several tree servides in Vancouver, with no luck. I found 4 A's on Angies list and called immediately. They answered immediately and told me they would be there in an hour, and I would also get the Angie list coupon discount and as we were seniors, another deiscount for that. The removal team arrived before the hour was up and immediately got to work cutting the branch into workable lengths, and then fed those into a machine that turned it into saw dust. They also cleaned up any and all traces of their being there. I could not tell they had been there at all when they were done. They finished the job in a very timely manner, less than an hour, and then were gone. I would definitely recommend the 4 A's Tree Service at any time. Quick, Courteous, dependable, and very good at what they do.

Without going into too many details, I had gotten a quote from them over a month ago but circumstances forced me to call them on very short notice and ask them to take the tree down this week. I was able to reach them rather late in the evening, which surprised me and they were very courteous and helpful and after some checking, told me that they could do the job, though it would have to be done in between other jobs they were committed to this week. I gave them the go-ahead and they managed to arrive by a little after 10am the following day. As it turns out, they were able to get the job done complete in one day. I was at home and was able to watch the operation. They came prepared with all the tools and proper safety gear to do this type of work and did an excellent job and a thorough cleanup at the end. I'm very happy with the job they did. Highly recommended.

Overall, it went well. They went out of their way to cut approximately 10 feet off of the top of 2 two trees that were closest to the pool. Clean up was great! Marina was very pleasant and helpful over the phone.

Marina was very pleasant over the phone during set up of the estimate and scheduling the work. Estimator showed up on time and was very detailed in his evaluation of the work specified. The crew from 4A's was very courteous, cheerful and professional. All work was done to our satisfaction and they did a meticulous cleanup of the trimmings and other debris afterwards. The initial crew of 3 showed up within a half an hour of the scheduled time. A couple of hours later, a supervisor stopped by to check on their work. About an hour later, 2 more crew members showed up to help finish. We are very pleases with the job and will definitely use them again in the future.

The trees they took out were dangerous trees. They were just huge. They took that whole thing down. They let the limbs down without hitting anything. I was amazed. They would have charged more if they didn't have to clean it all up, because I wanted to cut it up for fire wood and chip it for chips. They came right when they said. They were really fast doing the work. They were efficient. They did a good job and did what I asked them to do. They were great. This company was less in price. They said I wouldn't need to worry about the fences. They worked right next to the fence and didn't damage anything.

I was amazed at how prices varied based on different companies considering the service being done. After looking at many tree removal service providers and getting bids as high as $2000, I selected 4 A's Tree Service. I made this decision based on reviews, speaking with Marina, and the bid provided by Cruz. After calling and talking to Marina I felt comfortable that her company could perform the work. She was very nice and sensitive to our needs. We needed the work to be done between our small child waking up and her nap time. Marina was very understanding and made sure we were scheduled appropriately. Also, we had to reschedule to make sure our HOA board approved the work and she was very flexible to move the date a few days to accommodate the pending HOA vote. Before scheduling the work Cruz came out to give a bid and was very thorough in understanding exactly what we wanted. We walked around to every tree and talked about our needs. As we were talking he would explain to me how his crew would remove the tree without disturbing any other tree or plants. His bid was very reasonable and the job he and his crew did was fantastic! Cruz and his crew worked very efficiently as a team and all the work was done in about 1.5 hours. They also arrived right on time. Not a single tree, plant or bush were damaged and the yard was so well cleaned afterward you wouldn't even be able to tell huge trees were taken down, cut up, and put in the chipper. We were also going to grind 3 of the stumps but this was optional and I wanted to see how the stumps looked before making the decision. I decided to go ahead with the stumps but this work will be done later because Cruz wanted to make sure we didn't disturb any utility lines under ground. The utility company will need to mark lines so nothing is damaged during the grinding. I was happy Cruz made me aware of this and agreed with his decision to hold off on the stump grinding. We will definitely use 4 A's for any service they provide in the future. Well done!

I got estimates from four companies; they varied from $485 to $1800. The lowest bid, from 4 A's, was technically $450 for the cypress plus a trivial $35 more for the laurel; when I asked Vicente if the $35 was correct, he shrugged and said, "well, if we're already there..." I was a little hesitant about going with the cheapest bid, but it meant saving almost $300, and the reviews on A.L. were positive, so I decided to give them a shot. I called on a Thursday and they scheduled the work for 9:00am the next day. The two-man crew showed up right on time, talked over the details with me, and got to work. One guy did the cutting and trimming while the other hauled the branches to the chipper that they'd set up in the driveway. The guy wielding the power tools (I think he said his name was Isaac) was very agreeable when I asked him to cut back a little further, and he checked to make sure I was OK with the results. They worked for about five hours in both sun and rain. When they were done with the trimming, they did an unexpectedly thorough cleanup of the debris in the backyard; they even used leaf-blowers to get every last bit out. Overall, I was very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to call them again in the future, especially if they continue to be so much more affordable than their competitors.

Five man crew arrived right on time. Sweet gum tree was 20 feet from house with mature landscaping all around. Crew got right to work. Tree was a stump in 90 minutes! Crew worked very efficiently with moving cut material to chipper. No damage to any of the mature shrubs and trees. Area was cleaned up very well. In order to limb Doug-fir in backyard, had to work around fence, chicken coop, and powerline. Very tight working space. Work was done expertly and with no damage. Climber was sensitive to protecting mature Dogwood branches growing around Doug-fir when climbing and cutting. Site was cleaned up very well. Overall, in and out in 4 hours. I got 4 bids for the job and 4 A's was low bid. I was a bit skeptical to go with low bid, but after assessing the Angies list reviews, I decided to go with them. Glad I did. Would definitely use them again. In fact, I am using them to grind the stump. They were on time for scheduled review of work and submitting bid. Marina (office) was easy to work with and understands the work. Is a bit slow in returning calls and was not real clear on the timing of the stump grinding (work remaining to be done). They offer Angies list or senior discounts but I had to ask about it.

Removed a very tall birch tree next to our home. Thinned and shaped another tree. Looks very good. Professional. Would definitely recommend them.

The whole process went very well. Job was done safely.. I have asked for another bid to remove a sick elm that is very large. They called when crew was running late as we had high winds and cold temps. Very thoughtful to let customers know what is going on.

It went very well. They said they would be at my house at 8:30am and they showed up promptly at 8:30am.They were at my place between three and four hours and did exactly what I wanted them to do. They cut and trimmed my trees, cleared my yard of all debris which they hauled it all away for me. I thought everything looked great after they left. I thought the price and quality of service were excellent. They were punctual and very professional. I was very pleased with the work done. This is the first time I have use them but I would definitely use them again.

It went amazing! The crew works together like a fine oiled machine. About 6 people were on the scene at one point when the wood chipper arrived. These guys know what they are doing!! They had the whole job completed and completely cleaned up in just over 2 hours. All the crew were friendly, professional, and worked hard the whole time they were here. All I can say is "Wow"!!! I'm so glad I went with this company! I couldn't be happier! They all were very safety conscious, which was my biggest worry because of the nature of the work. They cleaned up everything very nicely!!

They were very professional from the beginning. Starting out with the initial phone call to request an estimate to actually scheduling the work. They arrived early and started on time with the work which was quite extensive as I have been in my home for quite a few years and really needed to have this work done. One of the best aspects of working with 4As is that they send enough people and enough equipment to efficiently get the job completed and cleaned up in a reasonable amount of time. From start to finish there were about 6 people and 4 or 5 chain saws going full force. Once limbs were cut, they were staged for the chipper. Not only that, once they started chipping, they also cleaned up anything and everything that was in the work area. When they left, the only evidence that they had been in my yard was that it was neatly trimmed. If you need trees trimmed and thinned and even if your property is sloped or anything but flat, this company does a great job and they do it for a pretty reasonable fee and on shedule (and in today's case, in torrential, pouring rain).

When we called to get the estimate, he arrived right on time. He gives you times to think about the estimate then calls to schedule the work with you. Vicente, the owner, completed the work with one other crew member. He knew what he was doing and it didn’t cause any issues, especially with the neighbor’s fence which they were worried about. He is very professional and provided great quality of work.

It went exactly like I hoped it would. They arrived earlier than we had agreed on to avoid rush hour traffic. Unfortunately, I was not home because I was at a doctor appointment. Marina called me and I explained why I was not home. She said no problem. I gave permission for them to go ahead and start and explained how to access my yard. They finished the first phase of the work then explained that their chipper truck was having mechanical problems. They had neatly stacked the branches and I told them I was in no real hurry to have them removed and that if it needed to wait a few days it would be OK. But they said it would happen later in the same day - and it did. A different worker came in the afternoon, chipped all the branches, raked up the remaining debris and even did some leaf blowing that I did not ask for - a bonus in the autumn! My back yard looks great! Like a MUCH needed haircut! At the time of the original estimate in September, we had agreed that the work could wait until spring. However, I was quite concerned about one neighbor's lilac bush (tree) which not only was overhanging my yard but had some branches that had settled between the boards of my wooden fence and were starting to pry the boards apart. I was concerned that if we had an ice storm this coming winter, the weight of the branches would crush the fence. So I called back in November and asked that at least this much be done now. They agreed to just do it all at once, and I could not be more pleased. I would definitely hire them again and have one neighbor already asking about them.

well to start. they were at my house at 8am ,and they went right at it. they were very fast and very professional. they cut down two big cottonwood trees.everything went as planned and they hauled away any debis. they were very good.i would use them again. thanks Angies List.

The person who answered the call (Marina) set up an appointment for an estimate to cut down some trees on Thursday, July 18, 2013 and nobody showed up. Then I called 4 A's Tree Service again and Marina set up another appointment on Saturday, July 20th between 3-4 PM and nobody showed up. I was there at my address from ~2:53 PM until close to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 20th. Angie: Thanks for this opportunity to present my review.

They showed up 10 minutes early of schedule, checked over work site, Got all set up and got the work done. They took down the hardest to get tree first. Two of the trees were in a built up area that had plants and ferns and yard lights, because of the ferns it was a dense area to have to do their work. They did trample a few but I personally thought they would do more damage than they did. They took great care in handling the branches as they took them down and out off the property. They took a little longer than they thought to do the job but that did not seem to distract them from getting the clean up before they were done. I have used this company before a few years ago. I don't think I a did a review at that time but they did a good job then too that is why I hired them again PLUS my biggest goal this time was not only to take down the trees but have all wood taken away. They had it scheduled to be picked up and it was as they were finishing up.

The work was done quickly. I enjoyed watching how the guy climbed the tree and cut the branches. Well done! I was very pleased with the work, the clean up, and the friendliness of the workers.

They did a decent job for a very fair price. I would use them again.

I have a very difficult situation with a backyard neighbor whose trees block my view of the Columbia. Cruz came out promptly to give an estimate, listened to my cautions about working with my neighbor and was extremely supportive, appropriate and responsive when working with him watching every cut that he made. He was working with unbloomed birches for neighbors yard and hopefully my neighbor will be happy enough to let me use them in the future. He was working on a bloomed plum tree on my side and I made him cut more than he was comfortable with to get a lower height margin. I know that this is on me though. I would highly recommend Cruz and the man that worked with him in the future.
