1-800 Got Junk

Tristan and Spencer did a great job removing a full load of junk from a move out. They were quick, professional and very easy to deal with. I would use them again and highly recommend to others.

They sent the a truck too small for the job a day late. We called them on Memorial Day and they gave us a 4 pm - 6 pm window, saying we would receive a phone call 30 minutes prior to the haulers' arrival. At 5:15, we called the dispatcher to follow up. Ten minutes later he called back apologizing that the team couldn't make it; they weren't expecting to have so many calls on a holiday. We were told minimum cost $150 (using 1 midsize refrigerator as a guide), max $679 (9 fridges), and from what we described, we would be looking in the middle of that range at $350. When the haulers did finally arrive the next day with the small truck, they said it would be 3 trips X $679 PLUS extra to chop the would. What a waste of our holiday time off work yesterday, and work time cut short today to meet them at the storage unit.

The service was fine. It was a Big Deal purchase and there was an additional charge of $42 to the Big Deal of $99. They came with a lift; I did not know they had one. They said that it was a sixth of their truck which was not exactly true and that is why they charged me the additional. The people that came out were really nice. They were prompt and on time. I would probably not recommend them to a neighbor because they are really expensive. If you look at what they charged for what they did, they were very expensive. I thought when I bought the $99 thing that that was it, but it was not. Their service was good, but their prices were expensive.

It turned out just fine and I was happy with what they did. The price was as quoted and it was a fair price. They were very careful about tracking dirt in and out of the house.

I ran out of time to remove the junk myself and I was able to schedule the appointment easily and quickly. Finding out how to estimate the amount of approximate cost was not intuitive on the website but a call to their customer service cleared the confusion quickly and I was assured that once they arrived they would give me a firm estimate which I could take or leave at the time. The estimate from the men that showed was actually lower than I anticipated. I had mattress and other items which were spread throughout the house which they retrieved for me once I indicated where they were. They were respectful of the house in retrieving the items and took everything away in one fell swoop! It was a relief to have it taken care of.

They were good. They thought they were supposed to charge me more than the $99 of the big deal, but when they called the office, they found out they were not supposed to.

It turned out very well. I purchased a Big deal for $99 and then I paid additional; they applied that towards the cost of the hot tub removal and then then I paid the additional cost because it was a big job, they had to get a big truck and a number of men. They cleaned up after themselves and they also took some additional junk at the backyard at the same time and put it around the hot tub. They took the hot tub that we paid for and then they allowed us to fill in some additional things that were sitting around in the backyard. Once I got things rolling I felt they were very responsive because they came one day and saw what they needed to do and came back the very next day and got it done. There was some confusion over the first appointment but once we got that settled they were very prompt.

I just showed them what to take and they loaded it on the truck. They were quick and professional . Did a great job! A+ I like the fact that they donate and recycle everything.

They arrived within the time slot and worked very efficiently. The truck was full and pulled out in 30 mins. They also swept up after, very nice. The staff was very professional and super nice.

As I went through the remodel process it was great to know the 1-800-GOT-JUNK was just a phone call away. They were quick to get me on the schedule for junk pick-up when I called. My driveway was always swept clean and they made sure not to leave any scraps behind. I used 1-800-GOT-JUNK rather than getting a dumpster service or some other junk pick up service because I knew would take the time to recycle everything they could. They sort items that can be donated to the Goodwill and other similar organizations. On one particular pick-up one of the crew members said he was going to take the time to fix a bike I had let get a little too rusty and donate it to kids in need. This just points out the type of people 1-800-GOT-JUNK hires. Trusted Professionals!

The two people that came to the house were polite, professional and worked quickly. They gave us a fair estimate and stuck with it even though we ended up taking up more space than planned on the truck. They even swept out the furnigarage where a few of the items had been which was a complete but welcome surprise. We will definitely use this company again!

Everything went great, from first scheduling to finishing the job. They price by volume of stuff, so looking over our pile, they thought it may be 1/3 to 1/2 truck load. I asked that we cap it at 1/3, leaving anything remaining, mostly due to costs ($320 for 1/3 load). They agreed, finished the job in 45 minutes, and were able to take care of the whole pile, even with a small amount of overage. At first blush that is a lot of money, but truthfully they saved me an afternoon of borrowing a friend's pickup, taking at least two trips and a few hours to haul it. They were very kind, not pushy, and got the job done as good as I would have myself.

I used the Pittsburgh, PA 800-Got-Junk location to help me move out items from my uncles house. It was just above 0 degrees F when I got back east, from Portland, OR to handle the affairs of my uncle who had recently passed. Steep steps and limited resources to get a bunch of junk out from flea markets that had been collected (and never sold) over the years seemed near impossible. The contents was near to the top of the ceiling. I can't tell you how relieved I was to find 800-Got-Junk in the area. This was my first time using them - while at first the cost per truck load seemed a little steep, it was worth every penny - what took 40+ years to accumulate, the crew was able to haul away in less than fours hours, giving me the ability to handle other parts of my uncle's affair in my time frame - I'd use them again any day. Thanks so much to the team who helped - they were friendly, professional and great to work with.

I called them based on reviews on Angie's List and also because my daughter talked me into not using a lesser know company. I wanted an older TV removed (not a flat screen) and a small dorm-sized refrigerator removed, both were too heavy for me to move. Since both worked, I was also hoping they would donate them. When I called them, they were polite and explained to me that the price would be determined by the pickup people at the time and I could either accept it or reject it at that point. The day of the pick up, they were punctual, polite, and efficient, but I thought the price I was quoted was really high. However I needed the items gone that day because I had company coming to stay in two days and needed to move some other furniture around for that so I accepted their price as I didn't have the time to find another company. I probably won't use them again. Next time I have something like this I will probably just call my garbage company. I read later that they recycle and they will come in and get whatever it is for you and carry it out. I'm sure their prices would be much more reasonable.

Working with these guys was painless. We were doing a big spring cleaning and had more junk than we could fit in our trash and yard debris bins; we called 1 800 Got Junk on Saturday to schedule a pick-up on Sunday. On Sunday, They had an earlier cancelation and called to offer to come over early, and applied no pressure one way or the other. We had most all of the junk piled up in our driveway and one heavy planter off to the side. They were in and out very quickly and took care with the our bins and containers that we wanted back. The swept up the driveway where the pile was and left the area very clean. I would not say the service is cheap, but the no hassle and ease is worth it. The one thing that would have been nice is hauling old paint cans, but I understand why they can't.

They are fantastic. They help us to throw it all. They are always available and we can always talk to a person. They are totally flexible. They are one hundred percent customer service oriented.

They were excellent and they were very punctual. We would use them again.

They called, as promised, to tell us when they would be there and arrived on time, a little early in fact. Since everything was outside,they were able to load it quickly. They were very friendly and polite and charged us twenty dollars less than our original on-line quote.

I called the 800 number to get a price quote and determine a time for pick up, the operator said they could have a crew to my house that afternoon. I was called about 45 minutes prior to arrival to reconfirm the pick up and my address. Then 2 nicely dressed men arrived and I showed them the hot tub and where it was, since it was a little hard to get to I was not sure if they would be able to remove it. They looked at it and said no problem and started to dismantle and tear it apart. Within 90 minutes they had the whole thing taken apart and put in the back of one of their trucks. They cleaned up around the area, too, they did miss some foam pieces, but there was a lot of rocks around and even I could not get it all picked up. The price was a little higher than quoted on the phone, but it was a specialty item and I was actually expecting it to be a little bit higher. They did a great job, and it is so nice to finally have the hot tub gone.

Everything went pretty smoothly, and they were quick and quiet. I had a faucet next to the shed that was torn down, which is my connection to my sprinkling system, and I noticed after they had pulled away, that it was gone. I called the company, and they said they would contact the people involved with the job. Jim said he noticed the faucet as they were leaving, went over to look, and as he touched it, it fell over, so he put it in the truck. He apologized, even though he felt they weren't responsible for breaking the pipe connection. He came over, decided what he needed to fix the connection and several days later, he came and fixed it and now it is working just fine. Perhaps they weren't the ones who broke the connection to the faucet, but they didn't argue with me, and came promptly and repaired it. I was pleased with their response and really appreciated everything they did.
