VALUESTONE

It was a great experience. We got a referral from a friend who had used them and so we visited their little showroom in West Seattle. They have a small selection, but they have a range of choices and we found one we liked. They advised us on the options for cuts and choosing a sink and so forth. We used their installer that they partner with. The installer came out to do the measurements and we talked over the plan. I was responsible for demolition. We had old formica countertops and rather than rip that up, I made sure it was OK for me to leave them on and just put the granite over top of them. He assured me that would work fine as long as I roughed them up with a sander and removed the wooden splash guards. We also decided to use the cutout for the stove to resurface the small counter in our powder room. Everything went off wonderfully. They showed up promptly, did the cutting outside in the yard and did an excellent job. It turned out beautifully. The work they did helped sell our place (which was part of the plan). Now we miss our beautiful countertops. We'll probably have them do them in our new place eventually.

They helped us choose the right color and texture and gave us a list of recommended installers to do the installation. They have a reasonably good choice and good prices in comparison to others we checked (about 4 companies).
