Alfredo showed up early and was extremely helpful. He showed me how to clean the filters properly and explained what can go wrong with furnaces. He found that the igniter was about to go out so I had him replace it. This was a great service experience!

After a horrible experience getting a heat pump from another company, I called Greenwood and a rep named Kevin came out. Not only was he knowledgeable, he listened to my woes about my current heat pump which wasn't working and the company that installed it. He was very professional, even though he had plenty of openings to say horrible things about that other company. When the first company pulled out the heat pump a few days later (under their no-lemon refund policy), we were left with no heat during an arctic freeze in Jan. Kevin did everything in his power to get their electrician out and get the heat pump installed asap. Three days later, we had heat. Everything was done up to code, they charged me a very reasonable price to re-organize my electric panel, and when they messed up some of the drywall during the electrical work, they came out the next day to repair it. Even though they were more expensive than that first company, it's worth it for their efficiency and dependability.

Very satisfactory overall. The estimate and bid process was clear and smooth, and the installation completed without any trouble. The installers were very prompt, polite, and helpful-the installation was more challenging than expected but they stayed to finish the job.

Prompt, courteous, gave me a fair price. They were very efficient and knowledgeable. They did some extra work where they re-fitted some pipes to the water heater that was out of code at no charge.

They answered a call for help on a Monday night. They diagnosed the problem. The salesperson called on us on Tuesday afternoon. By about 2:30pm on Wednesday, our new furnace was working. On Thursday, the salesman called to make sure all was well.

Very well. The technician was courteous, he explained the problem he discovered and the reason for the need to replace. I was very satisfied with the work performed and the explanation I received.

Great. The furnace end up checking out OK. Ed the service technician did a very complete job and explained in detail all the tests he did. Provided some suggestions to further verify if the problem re-appears. If I have continuing problems I feel very comfortable in using them.

Kevin Morris came out to give us a bid. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We were able to schedule the install within our desired timeframe. The installers were on time and worked very hard to remove the old unit and install the new one. Once installed, unforeseen complications arose due to broken dampers that required a return visit. The installers were able to rig up a temporary thermostat so that we had heat and the return visit was scheduled at our convenience. Every person I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. I am very happy with the level of service and professionalism displayed by everyone at Greenwood.

I had been informed on a previous repair job that my heat exchangers were cracked. I decided to replace the original unit (15 years) and the water heater. Their price was a little higher than Carrier (Cardinal) and Trane (Bel-Red), but the company rep., Patrick Hackett, was very knowledgeable and informative. As a former installer, he has able to help me to understand the technology and my needs. He was not pushy, gimmicky, and did not try to upsell the units. The installation went flawlessly. The installers were polite, knowledgeable, and clean. I was very happy with their work. I certainly would use Greenwood again and recommend them to others.

Very well. The phone service was good; I got a reminder call as promised; the repair person was right on time and the cost was as expected.

Their service was excellent. Arrived on time. Extensive work was required and they stayed on site to completion. Some electrical issues identified but were taken care of immediately the next day. Overall a wonderful company and I will continue to use them on both of my systems.

Their customer service is wonderful and responsive. I've had to call them several times during the last 7 months because the system was not working reliably. Either the water would not stay hot, or it would not be hot in multiple areas at the same time. They always came out and worked on it. The system is fairly complicated and they kept misdiagnosing the problem. Their technicians are not as knowledgeable as I'd hoped but to be fair, they always came back without complaint and tried to fix the problems. They probably lost money on their end. It finally got resolved and is working great now.

They did a good job and were very helpful. Their prices were reasonable and I would use them again.

They identified a crack in my heat exchanger on a yearly inspection last May. They gave us the quote right away for the new part. We decided to put off the fix until end of summer. When I called back late in Sept to schedule the service, they had all of the quote info and part information on file (very efficient). They scheduled service for one week later (the time it took to get the part). Arrived on-time and installed the part without a problem.

Greenwood came out quickly to diagnose our air conditioner, which was not working. While they got it started once again, there were still some bumps with it. They returned to our house quickly, made some adjustments, and it's been running smoothly since. The technicians were professional and courteous, satisfying my need to understand exactly what the problem was and what repairs were performed to address the problem. Excellent.

I was amazed at their pricing. It was $5500 more than the company I chose. The estimator showed up on time. He was knowledgeable, but really attempted to up sale unnecessary items. I opted not to choose this company based on price.

These guys did a great job. They finished on time and on schedule. The price was high due to the furnace's high quality. They were really professional. I would definitely use them again.

They provide an excellent service with professional people. They are clean, helpful, informative, and pleasant to work with. They always pick up the phone and call us back. We actually have an annual contract with them to service the system as well.

We are happy with the furnace (so far) but there were several details that we have had to follow up on. First, the sales person indicated he'd schedule the duct work with the install, but this was not done and others in the company seemed this was odd, acted like they'd never do this. Second, the installers forgot to cap off our old exhaust pipe that goes to the chimney, so we had to reschedule that fix. Finally, the sales person mentioned several rebates, but after the install I had to call the company to remind them to send the forms, and there is only one rebate, not several. This makes quite a difference in the net cost. It is hard to get resolution of problems with one phone call. They want to transfer you to this person or that person depending on the issue.

Salesman Patrick Hackett arrived on time and was very professional. He already had a couple of options laid out for me. His recommendation was for a duel stage 94% efficient furnace. When I inquired about a super high efficient furnace, he informed me that it would not be a very good match for the size and age of our house. I appreciated the fact that a salesman would not over sell a product not really needed. By going with a 94% furnace instead of a 98% furnace, I saved about $800. The crew also arrived on time and completed the job without any problems. When some minor issues came up, they fixed them and went about the job with no extra cost to me. We also had the duct work cleaned, and again, the work was done with minimal interruptions to the house hold. The prices for Greenwood was on par of other highly rated companies. I would whole heartedly recommend this company to anyone anticipating HVAC work.

The technician was good and the salesman did a low-key review of options for us. Everyone was polite, professional, and prompt. While the price wasn't much fun ($1000 for a control board and new igniter) they gave us the impression that this was more the cost of the parts. We will use them again for our annual servicing of the system.

Job 1: Called Greenwood during the snow storm 11-2006 and they came next day to evaluate the furnace problem. Made recommendations for cleaning and maintenance follow up and appointment to discuss new furnace options. Jeremy was the technician and he was courteous, friendly and very helpful. Job 2: Old furnace was on the blink so we had previously contacted Greenwood H&AC for evaluation. December 31, New Years eve day, old furnace died and we called Greenwood and they answered the phone on Sunday, New Years eve day! They were on the job at our house on January 3. The removal and installation took the greater part of the day, and Greenwood team discovered burned breaker part late in the afternoon. They went to Home Depot purchased the part and finished the job the same day. They provided education about operation of new furnace and thermostat. Just in time for our continued cold Seattle area weather.

Greenwood visited my home several times over the course of almost a year. My old furnace was repaired and then continued to act up, eventually triggering my smoke detector in the middle of the night. Greenwood technicians visited my home to fix the furnace and after the initial visit, did not charge me for the follow-up visits. The technicians were patient and didn't leap to recommend that I purchase a furnace. Instead, they made diligent effort to fix the old one. After some frustration with repairs that should have worked, it was clear that the furnace needed to be replaced. Greenwood ordered and installed the furnace and new thermostat control within a few days at the end of last Spring. My furnace is up and running and has been working very well.

Arrived at 3 pm (had been given 12-4 window...shorter window would have been nice). Alan was friendly and thorough, tried to sell me a 1 year service contract but didn't push when I declined. Thoroughly tested, turned on gas fireplace and took me through its operation. Spent time going over operation of the thermostat for the furnace as well.

Every stage of our experience with Greenwood was positive, from the initial estimate to dealing with a small problem after the installation. They were (see above) very above-board and fair about pricing, and offer a generous warranty. We got 6 other bids and felt most comfortable with Greenwood. We also like the units they use (Lennox), which are significantly quieter than the leading competitive brand. The A/C market in Seattle is booming, and there seem to be many unscrupulous new companies out there trying to cash in on the boom and offering dogdy products with no service - all the more reason to go with someone with an established reputation.
