+ -1 moreThey cleaned my septic in 2010 and the system failed in 2013. I called them to check it out but they never showed up then I discovered they were why my system failed.. it cost me $16000 to replace the system.. Don't hire these guys

+ -1 moreWith a backed up septic system and family in-bound to stay with us for the week my stress level was through the roof. The first company that evaluated our septic problem quoted over $1200 just to dig up the tank and complete a more complete evaluation! We checked Angie's list and decided on Affordable Septic. Affordable Septic was very helpful on the phone and had a vac truck re-routed to our house with in half an hour. An hour later we had a newly empty septic tank which alowed us to at least use the toilets until the problem could be discovered. Affordable Septic got the required permits the next morning and were digging up the tank by 9am. The crew was very respectful of our yard and performed the most surgical trenching I've ever seen. Our grass top layer was placed neatly to the side for re-use, and the trenches were only as big as needed to locate the pipes. We had discussed possible reasons for the septic backup and were told that 75% of the time the problem is simply broken distribution box/pipes that can crack and fall-in over time. Sure enough, along with a few plugs and a couple roots our distribution box was replaced along with the two crushed concrete distribution lines. Affordable septic also vacuumed out the drain field to ensure there weren't any plugs out of sight. By 4:00 they had completed the work, backfilled the trenches, and replaced the sod. Aside from a bid of dirty grass, and toilets that flush, you'd never know that they'd even been there. The work crew was very friendly and willing to talk us through the process. We are very satisifed with the work and the final price.
Description of Work: Vacuumed the overfull septic tank. Excavated the existing septic distribution box and primary pipes. Replaced the distribution system. Backfilled the area.

+ -1 moreCalled Monday morning - needed septic pumped on urgent basis - and quot;glurgingand quot; heard through pipes. Office took my name, number, scheduled a two-hour window, gave me the price and that was it. Tuesday: called house and told wife the time they'd be there. They were very punctual, manuevered the truck in, opened the tank up, cleaned the filter, and pumped 624 gallons out of a 500 gallon tank. They did a cursory examination of the tank and, after talking with my wife, providing a detailed receipt and taking the credit card information, they left.

+ -1 moreOverall, I was really happy. Travis had a very nice attitude and arrived on time. He was the best quote and competitively priced. He was able to get me into his schedule quickly and called about an hour before he arrived. He and his employee were easy to work with. He had great customer service and his price was great. He also said if I ever sold my home that he would come out and explain the septic tank to the new owners.

+ -1 moreI booked an appointment 2 days prior to the visit on 5-25. The appointment was for 8A to 8:30A on the date of this report. At 9:15A I phoned the office to be told there was a mistake and I was scheduled for Saturday. I requested service and received a service unit staffed by a trained, professional, young man at about 10:45A. I asked the gentleman to give me an opinion on my use or misuse of the septic system and to inspect component parts with recommendations. He did exactly what I asked advising me of some sections of the system to be watched in the future. His cleaning was precise and no material was left when he was done. I supplied him with a garden hose and he washed the sides of the tank completely making it look virtually new. Finally, I asked about his opinion of the use of additives and while he did not talk down about such items he advised that based on what he saw, I didn't need any chemical help to maintain my system. I highly recommend this company which was dispatched thru LDL Enviro Services although it said Drain Pro on the truck.

Description of Work: Thank you ldl! I have discovered there is a scarey septic underworld out there. however, I was blessed to find Travis at ldl septic. he was patient, professional and informative with a crazy person (me) that hadn't slept for 4 days. I am confident I found the best possible option i could have. you have to know that just cleaning drain field pipes isn't a fix all. However, combined with their terra lift process to puff up ground that was clogged with grease my renter put down the sink is the only thing that saved me from installing a new drainfield. I had 2 septic guys tell me to pay them cash and don't tell anyone they were there and no guarantee, it was frightening! One told me I needed a new drainfield without even looking at it and I was told I couldn't ask anyone else for an estimate. I talked to a friend of mine and while ldl was working on my place and he mentioned terra lift and how it was recommended. I was relieved, as a septic company i had talked to hours before had said aaaaah we don't believe in that. well that's because they are not certified to do it! I have a year guarantee, money back guarantee and am sleeping again at night AND it was $1,000 less than the fly by night place that would have only cleaned the pipes, and it still wouldn't have worked because the gravel was clogged with grease. oh and for the price I also got a cover over the lid so no digging on the next pump. LDL is the best place ever!!!! If I had written this review right after my wonderful experience I would have gone on longer and in more detail. however, now that my nightmare is over, thanks to Travis, I have been able to move on with life. I cannot say enough wonderful things about ldl. Travis is the best ever!!! Thank you Travis and i appreciate your patience, professionalism and fixing the problem. love this place! I recommend them. + -1 moreI am very impressed with these people - from start to finish. OLD PERSON ALERT!!!!! There is something else I want to say here. I am 62 years old. The young man who came was probably in his late 20's. He did not talk down to me, unlike the other companies and he did not presume that because I am old that I am stupid. Thank You. The last company, let's call them APEX, thought that charm was enough to give the old lady instead of efficiency and compentancy. Well, this old lady is a retired lawyer. I've had enough charm to last a life time. There are too many service people out there who try to pull one over on the old folks. I will point this out every time I see it. It is disgusting, unfair, patronizing. In my opinion, Cascade and Apex, both treated me like an idiot old person. LDL did not; they were very respectful. I filed a complaint against Cascade to the Better Business Buruea and I will do so against Apex...I paid Apex $350 and they did not fix the system. I want it back.
Description of Work: I have been trying to get my septic tank fixed for over a year. This is the 3rd septic repair company that has been here in 5 years. LDL is by far the best. After getting an excellent electrician (CST Electric) from Angie's list-- someone who spent an incredible amount of time LEARNING about this system and fixing all the gerry-rigged electrical work from the last septic repair company-- LDL provided me the name of an eletrician who works solely on septic systems because the light was still going off. Norm MacDonald came and moved one wire to give the UV light more juice and that was it! Fixed. Now, I had to get the system inspected and pumped. An LDL service person came and for the first time, explained my entire system, answered all my questions and told me things like"the motor in your compressor is 10 years old." My new house is only 5 years old. Meaning someone (builder, builder's real estate agent) did not disclose this to us. These very expensive motors only last 13 years, he explained. Then he explained how all three tanks worked. I did not know I had three tanks! He had to pump two of the tanks because even though I paid one of the prior companies to pump these tanks, it had never been done on the one tank. The compressor had never been cleaned. He cleaned it, explaining that this would lengthen the life of the motor. Then he explained the cost of fixing each of the tanks. We had no idea that this system was so expensive to fix. So, now we know that we have to put our income tax money in the bank in case something needs fixed every year we are here. This is the most thorough inspection we have had. As long as we live here, I will use LDL (Drain-Pro) and I will recommend them to the next home owner and anyone else who asks. The people in the office are also very helpful and cheerful and they know what they are doing (unlike BOTH of the prior companies).

+ -1 moreIt went well. I was given a day but not a time when the truck would be out. I requested that I be called the morning of to be told which half of the day they'd show up. About 10 am the driver called to say my house was next on his list. Everything went smoothly, and by noon it was all done.
Description of Work: We uncovered all four of the septic tank lids and stacked the sod and loose dirt onto a tarp. The company emptied the tank. After they left, we replaced the dirt and sod.

Description of Work: They installed a new septic drain field for my 2700 square foot house. There were 2, three man crews working on it and they finished it in a day, after cleaning up their mess.

+ -1 moreThey were very good. What I liked from them is that they were trying to find the problem and after they found it, they told the truth that there was work they needed to do. If not, if they would try to fixed the problem, and it would be just for a couple of months because they wouldn't be fixing the real problem. I think they were very professional.

Description of Work: They were right on time to perform the estimate. My drainfield had failed due to being installed in 1961. LDL revived the drainfield and installed some new pipe and vents. This only took them a day to do and my lawn did not suffer much. The county did not have my septic diagram (As Built) on file so they made on for me and submitted it to the county. They even helped me pull up a small stump after they had finished. All in all they were friendly, professional, and prompt.

+ -1 moreThey charged $3000 to revive entire drain field and $2000 to put in new piping. Both times we have been very pleased with their prices and their services. They always call to let you know if they are going to be late.
Description of Work: They revived a failed drain field. Put in new baffles. When some pipes collapsed, they put in new pipes and set in a different direction.
