Eckstrom Roofing

What I usually do is, I usually kinda look to see who you guys are recommending. I did a couple of quotes from a lot of the other people that were on your list and they were quite a bit more expensive. Two years ago, I had people come out and give me a quote on it because I was gonna do it, and this Eckstrom Roofing, he went up there and he said "look ma'am, I can tell you right now that you need a roof replacement, but you could go another two years." He said, "you're fine." Yeah, he told me, he said, "you don't need it right now." He said, "couple of years, give me a call." To me that was more important than anything, you know, that he was honest with me, because I don't know - I'm not a roofer. That was really important to me and that was why I called him back. They cleaned up everything really nice and they chit-chatted with me and told me what they were doing what was going on, and the roof looks really great. I've got the inspection coming up tomorrow, so hopefully everything will be A-OK. I found them through a real estate guy. I had another roofing provider and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They came out and said oh my God lady, it's really bad and dah-ta-da-ta-dah, and you're gonna have to replace all this stuff and all that stuff. They were quoting me almost $7,300.00, and that was including the senior discount. They basically told me it was falling apart and I had to have it done right now, and this and that. When the guy was up there doing the roof, he said there was no damage to any of the plywood underneath. He said it's all in perfect pieces; there's no water stains - no nothing. He said whoever put the roof on the first time did an excellent job, and he said it's in great shape. So who do I believe? But that other roofing provider, I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. When they try to use screw tactics, especially when you're a senior, you think oh my God my roof's gonna fall down, it's not gonna go through the next wind storm or whatever. You get all this stuff in your head, you know. Eckstrom came out and he said you can put this off for two years and you'd be fine. I guess I had confidence in him because he was honest with me. That, to me, is more important.
