BUYER BEWARE! We purchased a dishwasher from Dave Blankenship, the new owner of Weir's appliance in Tacoma. Mr. Blankenship told us they would have their guy bring and install our new dishwasher. Mr. Blankenship, the owner and our salesman at Weir's sent a man by the name of Robert Ormandy to our home to install the dishwasher on 2/10/18. We were notified by Weir’s employee by phone that they set up the installation (without checking with out for a convenient date). They told us his name was Rob. Weir’s refused to give us his last name and when "Rob" arrived, he also refused to give us his last name. He proceeded to drag the dishwasher across our hardwood floors causing thousands of dollars in damage. Our homeowner’s insurance referred us to locate the installer and Weir's for damages as it is their responsibility as this man was sent out by WEIR’S and they should pay for all damages to our home. We, at no time, contacted this man to install our new dishwasher. The installer refused to give us any insurance or bond information or even his name. We were able to trace a phone call and found out his last name. The Department of Labor and Industries indicates this man lost his license, bond, and he lost his insurance two years ago. The NEW owner of Weir’s, Dave Blankenship refuses to accept any responsibility for this man that he sent out to our home to install the new dishwasher. This owner, Dave Blankenship, also refuses to take our phone calls and hung up on me when we called for a refund for the dishwasher. You see, the new dishwasher didn’t work and was returned by Weir’s employees. The Weir’s family offered excellent customer service for many decades. It’s unfortunate this new owner is riding on the original owner’s good reputation! BUYER BEWARE! The washer and dryer work but are $100.00 less at JC Penney's but to date, Mr. Blankenship and his employees will not discuss refunding the difference to us, although they say they will match other prices, when you are shopping.

We had an excellent experience purchasing a new refrigerator from Weir's recently. I stopped by their showroom on a weekday afternoon, and started looking at all of the models available on the floor until a sales person was available to help me. Perhaps 5-10 minutes later, after he had finished assisting other customers, "Big Mike" came over to help me and asked what exactly I was looking for. I had measured our old fridge beforehand, and told him that since the kitchen had been remodeled around it we would have to get something just about exactly the same size (no larger, anyway). He understood completely, and took me straight to a model that was just the right size, had the right features, and was the right price. We discussed some other options as well, and since I never want to make a large purchase like this without shopping around I asked him to print of some details to take with me. That same day, I stopped at three other stores comparing refrigerator specs, features, etc. and asking questions. I also went online to compare prices with other retailers and look up product reviews. The first fridge that Mike had showed me at Weir's isn't a top-of-the-line fancy model or anything, but it seems to have pretty solid reviews and the price was much more reasonable than some of the fancier models. I called up Mike the next morning, provided my credit card info, and the fridge was delivered to our kitchen (no extra charge for delivery, installation, and haul-away of the old fridge) two days later. Now we have cold beer and fresh ice once again :-) All around great service; thanks Weir's!

It's a local company independently owned. They are just genuine about what they can do for people. They know their prices. They talk to us when we come in the front door and introduce themselves. They just kind of give us the lay of the land and are very nice people. I will use them again in the future.

This was rather frustrating. The installer was not provided with the 'trim kit' for the microwave, as I thought he was going to be, the communication between the store sales people obviously did not happen,and I apparently was mixed up with another customer. This was primarily a telephone order transaction and that may have been the reason I experienced the problems I did. This was a COD order and I paid by check, but the installer did not have an invoice from the store he could leave me. He promised that it would be mailed. I do have the dishwasher and microwave that apparently work well, and I did appreciate Rose's patience, help, and knowledge of appliances.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY DIDN'T SCRATCH ANY OF THE HARDWOOD FLOORS.
