I purchased three items for a bathroom renovation in my home. Upon receipt of one item, the shower pan, I realized that it would not work in the space. I contacted Water Concepts (Rosen Plumbing) to ask about a return and/or exchange. The owner, Devin Rosen, "helped" me. When I explained the situation to him, he sighed audibly, as if my very phone call were a supreme annoyance. From there, he told me in a tone that managed to be both bored and aggressive, that I could return the item for a restocking fee and pay for the shipping. In a nutshell, it would cost me $135 to return a $340 item. I can accept this return policy; what got to me was Rosen's attitude toward me. He is apparently willing to lose a customer who still has to buy supplies for two bathrooms rather than a) waive the penalty, or b) be polite and helpful as he describes the penalty to me and the reason that he must issue it, rather than say, "I'm not in this business to lose money." After some searching with other plumbing supply companies for a new shower pan and conferring with my contractor, I had to contact Rosen again to find out the specifics of handling the return. My partner offered to call for me because he was far less angry than I was. In a matter of moments, however, Rosen and his horrible attitude riled up my partner. The conversation devolved rapidly, and my partner--who is ordinarily a peaceful and calm person--ended up hanging up on the guy. In a way, I blame myself for the loss of money I'm about to incur. When I went into the Water Concepts showroom, Rosen and another salesperson, a woman named Kari, were there, and they were SO unwelcoming. Kari acted put out by every question I asked her UNTIL I TOLD HER I WANTED TO MAKE A $650 PURCHASE. From that moment on, she was my new best friend. I should have heeded that sign as a warning and gotten out of there. I hope that anyone who reads this will learn from my mistake. Buy from ANYONE but these people. You'll be glad to save yourself the exposure to people who are obviously unhappy with the work they do and who delight in spreading around their antipathy.
Description of Work: I purchased a shower pan, a shower valve, and shower trim from this company.
