 + 1 moreThe price quoted is not a fixed price. He invoices for time and materials. He was on track to be 30% over budget until we had to renegotiate what we were willing to pay. Neither of us left happy. We felt over charged and he felt cheated out of what he felt he deserved.
Description of Work: We did a 218 Sq ft addition for a dining room.

 + 0 moreTypically ran 30-40% over bid. Designs were generally good, but lots of detail issues. Called job done even though there were large shards and splinters on handrails and posts, large cutouts on steps that would have led to step failure. Privacy fence in back yard left large gaps between other structures and grade that defeated the purpose of keeping large dogs fenced. Argued over making job right and pressured my wife to pay for the job before we could inspect. No walkthroughs of work. They just wanted in, wanted to do it their way, wanted to make lots of money, without obligation, customer service.
