SPEEDY MIX CONCRETE

Owner is curt but I can deal with this. He seemed impatient and condescending over the phone at my lack of knowledge about concrete technology and the business. I needed the job done soon and didn't have much time to search for a better personality (as if this was important). He quoted me $279 + tax for 1. 33 yards of concrete delivered - no checks and no visa. I thought this was strange - perhaps he doesn't pay all of the state taxes he is required to pay. He arrived on time and, although his personality is a little rough around the edges, he seemed helpful and offered advice for prepping the concrete (thank you). After he delivered the concrete, he tallied the bill and charged me $381 total. He told me that he went overtime but he never told me over the phone about any charges for time. Also, I thought that we were quickly getting the mix off of the truck. In summary, I believe that either he is poor at communicating charges or we were overcharged. I am also suspicious that this is somewhat related to the fact that he wanted cash only.
