We needed a plumber to diagnose a scary-sounding problem with our toilet. Turns out it was a simple thing: the fill valve, but we didn't know that before calling Spartan. They were prompt and professional. We will call them in the future if we need a plumber. I didn't rate the price above because this is the first time we've had to call a plumber and we (my husband and I) have no idea if $169 is a fair price for the job. On the one hand, it seems like a lot to pay for someone to put in a $12 part. On the other hand, we were really paying for the diagnosis. I just don't know. The entire cost was $189, less a $20-off coupon for Angie's List members.

Selected Spartan from Angies List call that morning and they sent out plumber by 1 that afternoon. Issue at my place I am on a well and there was no shut off valve to that faucet that we could find I had to call the well company to find out that there was no shut of valve had to drain the tank to replace faucet. Plumber left when I got the tank drained and pressurized he came back and replaced the faucet about hour later. I had a few unrelated question that he was able to answer for me. Pleased with service, that was my first time dealing with a plumbing service. Will use again.

They fixed it and they charged me what I expected them to charge me. They put everything back together again in good shape. They didn't make the grass grow, but they came close. I was pleased with what they did. They were very professional and there were no surprises. They were there almost a whole day with a couple of people working. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. They performed exactly as they should and I can't imagine what more they could have done under the circumstances. I would give them straight A's.

The repair man came out the same night we called. His was very responsive and professional except that he advised us to replace the other float in our waste water pump but he did not have one on is truck. This was a little disappointing because the service call is expensive and the inconvenience of opening the waste water tank is significant. The float was still functioning but I feel like I am waiting for, "the other shoe to drop".His work was good and we would definitely use this company again.

The tech showed up on time. I showed him what needed to be done and he went to go get what he needed at the plumbing supply store. After he left I realized that I did not show him the hot water tank so I called the office and they informed him that I had a hot water tank to install as well. No problem. They sent out another tech to help out. No charge for the second techs labor. The job was completed early afternoon. The following day I realized that the tank on the toilet was a bit wobbly. The same tech showed up with another tech and they fixed it. This company is great. They obviously care about their quality of work. I will definitely be using them again.

He came and gave an estimate. We setup an appointment, which was cancelled because the tech was sick. It was promptly rescheduled. He came and replaced the fawcetts by going thru my interior walls. He cleaned up - work as expected.

They were okay. There was some miscommunication. They cleared the lines after they did the work, so I had no water. I called them in the evening and they came right over to fix it. They were out within twenty minutes.

They were really good and on time. They were professional and got the job done. They were in and out really quick and did a good job.

The sump pump under our house had stopped working and there was quite a lot of water down there due to ground water seepage. Spartan came out and also brought along someone from another company who would need to pump out the water before the sump pump could be repaired. (I didn't know that would be required, so glad they organized). Spartan was patient and professional throughout this process and installed a new pump relatively quickly. Thanks!

Two guys had to come to do the work and it took them about three hours to do the work. They were great, helpful, and nice. They were totally professional. They focused really on what needed to be fixed and the guy walked me down through the work that needed to be done. They were pretty clean as well. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I felt Mark was very professional and respected my home and property. He explained the process before doing anything and treated me with respect..

He was very honest with us and found a better and more economical solution to our problem. He was very quick, very thorough, very clean. He made sure to put a mat down to protect our flooring.

My family was going out of town the next day, so we were doing the last of our laundry. The waste line on my washing machine backed up, so I called after hours (about 6:30p) to see if someone could come out. Shawn at Spartan was the first person I called, but he already was on a job and had another job waiting for him, with a late expected finish time. He asked if I still wanted him to come out to fix the problem. I told him I needed someone to fix it then. I called other people, with no luck, even though they said they had after-hours service. I gave up and tried to figure out how to pack for our trip. Shawn called about 9p to see if I ever found someone as his jobs took much less time than he thought. He arrived about 30 minutes later and ran a snake down the pipe to fix the problem. He suggested ways to keep the pipe and drain clean. I was shocked that he called (but was appreciative that he did so) and the price was much less that what I expected, given the after hours service. I will use Spartan from now on.

Very careful to coordinate timing after giving me an arrival time that was just the next day. Very helpful with information to avoid problems in the future. Quick, clean, courteous, knowlegable about older homes. A great experience!

.After researching various plumbers listed on Angies list I liked what I read about Spartan Plumbing. The person who answered the telephone was pleasant, asked good questions to determine just what type of service I needed and I scheduled a visit for an estimate. Liking the numbers, I scheduled a date and time that was good for me.The worked was performed very professional and the final cost was what we had agreed on. What I liked during the estimate was how what I actually needed and what I feared might be needed was carefully pointed out. I wasn't sold or told I needed thus and so done just to make a few more dollars. The problems were fixed and I am very pleased. I won't hesitate to recommend Spartan Plumbing to anyone needing help with plumbing problems.

Two years ago I called Spartan plumbing to help with a drain problem that caused flooding in my basement. Carl from Spartan Plumbing came to my home the same day I called & quickly determined that the issue was a clog in the main drain leading out of the house caused by small roots in the drain pipe. Carl was very thorough & professional - going above & beyond my expectations to ensure a quality, successful service. I forgot to file a report on his excellent service.Fast forward to 2011 - my drains were again slowly draining. This problem occurred in 2009 just before the basement flooded. I couldn't remember which plumbing company I had used before so I called a competitor. The competitor showed up, used a camera to determine that nothing was clogging the main drain line & recommended a $2400 fix for the small roots still present in my drain line. I wanted a second opinion. I called Spartan Plumbing - who immediately told me they'd been out in 2009. All the details of that visit were in their records & Carl returned to my home less than 2 hours after my initial phone call. Carl successfully snaked an upstairs bathtub drain charging me $120. I'm so pleased with the cost savings AND the service!

Excellent job. Technician was prompt and professional and went about his business efficiently. The problems are fixed and it was accomplished in less time and for less cost than I had anticipated. Will definitely use Spartan in the future.

They were marvelous. They were right on time, the price seemed fair, and they were very professional. They were patient with me in explaining their work. They were extremely tidy and worked quietly. The conversation between the workers was normal which was refreshing. They provided me with options – quick fix v. long lasting fix. I opted for the long lasting fix which was not much more.

Very satisfied. I was unable to unplug the drain line and realized that I needed help. Consulted Angies list and found Spartan. I had taken the day off to get this repair done. When I called at 8 AM, I was told that they could have someone out between noon and 2:00. I received a phone call from the actual crew about 9 AM and was told that they could be at my house within 45 min. I was impressed with the crew that came to my home. They were careful to insure that they did not create any more mess than I already had. They spent almost 2 hours doing the work that I had requested. I would certainly call this company again. I thought the price was just a little bit high, but I was glad to get the work done so quickly.

Our utility sink got clogged from kitchen drain-off and I spent the better part of a day trying to snake it and get it working. After giving up, we called these guys Saturday and Mike was here in less than an hour. He worked his magic and had everything working in about 10 minutes. Mike took the time to show me what I did wrong and explain the specific issues with our home's plumbing (we just moved here over the summer) - and how to avoid having to call him every 2-3 months! He was professional, efficient and respectful. I would strongly recommend using Spartan to anyone, and will use them again if I have another problem.

apt was made for a timely service call the plumber was polite He diagnosed the problem within 5 min of my describing the problem He fixed the problem & was gone within 1/2 hr of his arrival [no, I couldn't have done it myself]

After a cleanup outfit cleaned the sewage out of the crawl space, treated the ground with enzymes, and removed old vapor barrier and installed new vapor barrier, we had "At Your Service Plumbing" evaluate the plumbing problem and give us an estimate to fix it. We did not like their estimate and the company couldn't figure a way to get the cost down so I paid them their service fee and contacted Spartan Services, Inc. Meanwhile I tried to patch (tape wrap) the leak so we could use the house plumbing until we could get have the plumbing replaced. This didn't work very well so we went without plumbing for a night. Spartan Services came the next day and gave an estimate for half the amount At Your Service Plumbing wanted. In trying to get At Your Service to sharpen their pencil, they asked me what I had expected to pay for the work and I told them $500 to $700. They said I needed to find a different plumber. I followed their recommendation and was glad I did. Saved over $500. Spartan Services did a competent job and I would call them again. I felt the fellows who showed up for Spartan Services were only interested in fixing the problem.

Mark showed up within 25 minutes of calling. He was professional and walked me through the things he was going to do: disassemble some of the sink parts to clear a path, try a manual snake (this worked at ~25' - yikes), then try a power snake from the roof if necessary. Turned out we only needed step one. It's always difficult calling someone to have them come into your home. I will call Spartan again - if needed - and I will ask for Mark.
