The technician, Mark, explained to me over the phone how to very easily fix it myself and said he did not need to come out to see it. He then followed up with a call back to make sure his method had actually worked. This company will be the first one I call when I have a problem.

They were excellent. They are very professional and nice.

Yesterday, Friday I knocked into the toilet, a small plastic container just as the toilet flushed. The container became lodged in the 'S' trap, and greatly restricted the evacuation of water. Basically, the toilet became unusable. This Saturday morning I called a plumbing service in the Peninsula Area, but did not receive a timely call back. So then I called Spartan Plumbing to hopefully get a better response. Within 45 the technician was at my front door ready to work. Took me by surprise, in that I live in the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Within about an hour and half the technician had the blockage removed and the toilet was working fine. Happy customer!

Called at 1:00PM and by 4:00PM same day they had it repaired. They had to crawl the length of the house to get to it. The crawl space is crawl on your belly, very low. In very limited work room they replaced the leaking section of sewer pipe. They were prompt, cheerful, courteous, and very quick. The best part was the very low cost of this repair. With the house being 65+ years old Spartan is now on my speed dial. (-: Thanking you Megon and Mason.

Brian S. arrived on time (having called earlier in the day to confirm our location and to let us know that he would be here on time). He was a pleasant individual who explained the problem for each toilet. He also reminded me about the possible discounts (I used my coupon on Angie's list). Because both toilets would not stop running after being flushed, he diagnosed the causes. Then Brian carefully demonstrated what parts needed to be replaced on one of the toilets and found that the other toilet only needed an adjustment., which he made. He advised me on how to periodically clean the tank apparatus (we have an extremely high mineral content, especially of iron and manganese, so even with a water softener system, a coating still builds around the flapper valve and inside the tank). I felt the cost was quite reasonable. It was a positive experience, thanks to Brian's promptness, know-how, and overall professionalism. We will definitely use this company again when we need plumbing help.

Background: Friday afternoon at 3:15 the septic system backed up as my Wife was doing laundry. We had never had this happen to us before so I joined your service to find help quick. A service rep was in the area working a job. The owner called and gave a ETA of 6PM and had sent the "on call" service man to help fix our problem. In the the 2 hours we waited I dug out around the sepic tank and had it open for easy access.

We were extremely happy with Spartan the first time we had them come out that we called them again to take care of the clog. They sent out two different technicians: the young man who took care of the leak was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even gave my husband his personal number so we could follow up. We did have to call him back out, but he didn’t charge us for the second visit. For the clog, they were able to do some troubleshooting to solve the problem so they wouldn’t have to charge us extra to use a large machine. They were very helpful and were able to save us some money as well.

They came within the hour of being called and fixed our house sewer main drain problem (all faucets in the house were blocked up! The even located the exterior cleanout valve (which was buried) and showed us the entire length of pipe on the camera, explaining the state and type of pipe that was connected from house to the city sewer line. So wonderful!

Just fine. They came at the time promised and completed the work within estimate and on the first visit.

After having two other companies look at our clogged bathroom drainpipe during the past week (with very different ideas and costs on how to address it), I called Sparta out of desperation of needing to get the clog addressed. The woman who answered the phone was very nice to talk to, and she even recommended the posted coupon to save me money for the work. Within an hour (which is what I was told it would take), the plumber (Mark) came and looked at our pipes. It then took him about 10 minutes to unclog the pipe, at which point he looked at our kitchen (which has its own share of issues) and made suggestions for us. Mark was very nice to work with and I would recommend having him doing your drain cleaning.

We were very, very impressed with the service! Our time frame and family needs were addressed and Mark, our service man was extremely knowlegable in what he was doing. Plumbing issues can be stressful to the home owner. Mark was upbeat, positive and a delight to have working in our home. He worked very quickly and efficiently. We know plumbing issues come with home ownership and would certainly be pleased to have Mark address any future issues that may arise.

I was happy he fixed the leak in the washroom sink but I paid for 2 hours of service. I felt he wanted to leave as soon as possible since this visit was discounted. It seemed his main goal was scheduling additional work in the future but doing so piece meal.

Job was done promptly and when needed. Cost was reasonable, actually surprisingly low for plumber work. I have used this plumbing firm before but not reviewed them before.

They came out to do the service but upon checking the toilet he told us we didn't need the service. He found that the water pressure was just turned lower and that there was no issue. He told us that he wouldn't charge us for coming out and to just get a refund from Angies List. Just because of his honesty I will use their service again.

The plumber was quick to arrive and he was friendly and professional. He took the time to make sure the toilet was truly unplugged by running toilet paper through it and so on before he concluded the job. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth the money.

Everything went fine with this plumber. The reason we wouldn't use Spartan Plumbing again is the lack of customer service. It was extremely embarressing to realize it was such a silly thing to "repair". We were still charged the full amount for the service call. It would have been nice if he'd considered it a courtesy call and charged us nothing or at the very least less than the full service call amount. If he'd done so, he'd have a customer for life. Instead, we were left feeling foolish and ripped off.

Got the job done in good time.

Called for a free estimate of the potential repairs to an ongoing plumbing problem we have in our older home. The technician came out within an hour and gave us a written estimate to the repairs. He was very clear that the repairs to our plumbing would entail them cutting a hole through the wall of an adjoining room to get access to the section of our old galvanized pipes that needed to be cut out and replaced (as well as flushed/snaked) and that their company cannot repair the hole in the wall that they would need to make. The price includes cutting the access, removing the old fittings, replacing with new fittings and cleaning out the pipes/drains during the process. Scheduled work for the next day and was pleasantly surprised that the plumber was able to find an alternative repair that ended up costing us less, took have the time, and did not require cutting into our walls! Great service. The plumber was very professional, informative, and answered all my questions.

Spartan Services Inc. was okay. It took him three times to get the problem fixed but he ultimately fixed the problem. He was here when he said he would be here. He misdiagnosed the problem and I had a hard time initially getting him to believe that the problem was his to fix.
