Ron Jones has the most arrogant , cant be bothered employees i have ever encountered...I was ignored from start to finish , even though no one was in their shop .. and when I asked the clerk at the counter if he could help me with the equipment I wanted to purchase......he yelled at me..for interrupting his paper shuffling ...wow! needless to say I left and went somewhere else....LAKEWOOD HARDWARE...has every piece of stihl eq. you could want AND great customer service and a repair facility on site....THEY ACTUALLY WANT YOUR BUSINESS unlike Ron Jones ,,,who just cant be bothered....and even feel as if they can YELL at you for asking for help ...,,,,cant look up from paper shuffling and say i will be with you in just a minute???? guess not... I give Ron Jones 0 stars.... I can find every thing they have somewhere else...

I called Ron Jones Power Equipment to inquire about replacing my lawnmower blades. I also inquired about the cost because I had my own replacement blades. The phone was answered by a very pleasant man who quoted a price and told me that I could bring the lawnmower in. I arrived and was immediately greeted warmly in the store area and within 3 to 4 minutes two mechanics/technicians removed the mower from my vehicle. During the brief time that I waited for my repair, I was asked by a second staff member if I had been helped. He was also pleasant and answered several questions for me about Honda warranties and additional services. A few minutes later I observed the two mechanics/technicians walking toward my vehicle carrying the lawnmower. I was totally surprised that they had completed the blade replacement. I re-entered the store and asked to pay my bill. However, much to my surprise I was informed that there would be no charges. I questioned this and was told that it did not take very much time, therefore they would not charge me. When I removed a bill and offered to tip the mechanics/technicians it was also declined. I cannot say enough about the supportive and professional Staff at Ron Jones Power Equipment. I will return for additional services and when I need a new mower. I am also sharing my positive experience with friends, family and anyone in need of power equipment and/or repairs. It is extremely rare to find the concern and genuine support that I experienced today from the skilled and dedicated Staff at Ron Jones Power Equipment. I am writing this Review because everyone in Western Washington needs to know if they need power equipment and/or repairs Ron Jones Power Equipment is definitely the Best.

They're very good about showing you how to put the chain on which is really cool. They're very good about showing you the feature, about what safety equipment you need to buy which I end up purchasing and then they went to a demo on. They went on a demo on how to use the machinery and stuff like that. They emphasized about safety and that if you have questions or you don't remember anything, you always come back. They're glad to show you how to use the machinery they sell you. They fill up the warranty sheet too when they sell that, the staff show that too and they show that for a business.
Description of Work: We go to them for repair, it was for the chain saw. I recently bought a new chain saw too.

On July 13th after nearly two weeks of calling for status I was informed it was indeed the head gasket that it was indeed covered under the warranty and that it should be complete by no later than Money July 18th. On July 17th got a voice mail that said my tractor was complete and ready for pickup at my earliest convenience, I called and was informed that I could not pick it up until Monday. On Wednesday July 20th I finally got home early enough and went to pick up the tractor, When I arrived I was informed that I owed $ 294.60, when I asked why the warranty was not covering it, I was rudely informed that I could send the bill to whom ever I bought the warranty from and get my money back, and that "He was not getting stuck with the repairs and that HE knew nothing of any class action suit or settlement and that NO ONE was getting over on him". When I tried to explain that Kohler and Cub Cadet both told me to bring the unit to him as my closest "Authorized Repair facility", he did not care, did not want to hear of discuss it. He just kept accusing me of trying to "screw him out of the repair fee with a phony warranty. I finally had enough and informed him I would take the matter up with Kohler, Cub Cadet, and whomever else it required to get my money back, and that he would not get any future business from me.
Description of Work: I received an extended warranty and small check from a class action suit related to the engine on my lawn tractor. The timely receipt of this document coincided with the failure of the right hand head gasket on my tractor. I contacted both the tractor manufacturer Cub Cadet, and the engine manufacturer Kohler Engines and was given Ron Jones Power Equipment as the "authorized" repair facility. After repeated calls to Ron Jones Power Equipment, discussing the warranty letter and the need for me to bring the original with me when I brought in the tractor and trying to schedule a short turnaround, I took the tractor in on July 2nd and was told it should be ready within 7-10 days. I had their employee copy the warranty letter and asked to be called as soon as they determined what was wrong.
