Description of Work: Used coupon to determine whether what I wanted done, could be done. PS Locksmith decided to pass on the job but that is certainly better than saying 'yes' and not being able to produce a good result.

Description of Work: I have not used Puget Sound Locksmith Inc., but I have some concerns about their statements on Angie's List and on their Web site at pslocksmith.com (doing business as another company name, BTW). Their site explicitly states, "Avoid ANY company that has an 800, 866, 877 or 888 prefix to their phone number." Yet, among their many phone numbers, they include 866-926-5397. At least one statement on thier Web site clearly implies that they are "licensed," but the state of WA has no locksmith-licensing requirements. I know this because I spoke to to Jesse Black of the Northwest Locksmith A**'n after I got ripped off by a different operation in the area. Meanwhile, in their Angie's List listing, they indicate for Trade License Information: Not applicable, my trade does not require licensing. If this person knows this, why does their Web site state, "Always ask for (a locksmith's) Locksmith License Number"? Also, why the secrecy in the name of the contact on Angie's List? Mark S? Really? Google the address they provide on Angie's List; it appears to be some guy's house, with a couple of vans and a motor home parked in the paved yard. Note, too, on the right side of the street view, a prominent sign indicating ABC Lock & Key, with a phone number that matches one in the list of numbers on their Angie's List listing. They also have two separate listings in Angie's List, one from 2008, one from 2011. Why is this? Their Web site lists no address, anywhere in the site, which is typically a red flag for consumers.They also claim to be members of the Associated Locksmiths of America, but there's no mention of their being members of the NW Locksmith Assn. I checked their ALA-membership claim at the ALA Web site, only one member appears for the Zip code they provide on Angie's List: James Rich, 253-474-5855. This phone number does not match the long list of numbers on either the Puget Sound Locksmith Web site or in the list of phone numbers on their Angie's List listing. I highly suggest using a brick-and-mortar store, a locksmith that actually has a physical address and shop in your area. Otherwise, you're taking chances with your money.
