Worst electrical contractor experience ever. Not that this is unexpected for an appointment from 10 AM to 2 PM but the technician arrived at 1:50 PM to repair a ceiling fan... without a ladder. He looked at the fan on the ceiling and said it was too high and he would have someone else come out... I would get a call later for this. Now 6 days later... no call and I was still charged for a service call. All this and they screen their calls by using a Google phone line and never answer or return my phone calls. Avoid at all costs.

I hired this company once before and found them to be alright, except for the part where they accidentally wired my fridge to a light switch- you can imagine the problems that caused, but I laughed it off because it's an old home and stuff happens. Today I contacted Charlie to because I'm selling the home and wanted him to look over my wiring system, identify anything unsafe, and fix it. He started out telling me that he is the best in the business and that he'd never say that any knob and tube is safe- basically suggesting that I needed to replace all of the wiring in my house or risk being sued by the buyers. He also tried to tell me that there is no way a house with knob and tube could be insured. I told him he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about because my house is definitely insured. Then he said that there is only one company that would insure it, at three times the rate of normal insurance, or that my house must not be insured properly. He was incredibly insulting. He's never even seen my house to see the extent of the knob and tube, what upgrades have been done, etc. I am certain my house is insured properly, as was the one before it with some remaining knob and tube, and I've used two different reputable companies to do so. I also mentioned that I used a VA loan to purchase my home, which requires a more stringent safety inspection, so for him to deem my house "not safe" over the phone was a little crazy. It sounds like this guy needs to get his ego in check or find a new line of work. Most people understand that knob and tube comes with some risks, but its presence (in my garage, btw, but he wouldn't know that because he went right into his diatribe) doesn't mean that my house is going to burst into flames tomorrow. I don't appreciate bullying and scare tactics.

Charlie and his crew were great. I sent him a picture of the space and had a confirmed bid within the hour. Not only was the price extremely reasonable but he could come out the next day to perform the work. The finished work is top-notch, high quality and done right. Extremely satisfied customer. Would hire again without hesitation.

Mr. Clark came out the first time to do a job, but could not get him pinned down to a time to return and complete. Asked him 3x WHEN he could return, he insisted on lamenting about his problems. He hung up on me after I became frustrated with not getting a straight answer from him. (I have a witness to this conversation) Accused me of being irate. All I wanted to know was WHEN. It is improper to complain to a customer in such a manner. All he had to say was "I'm very busy so it may be a couple of weeks out." I would have accepted that. Yes, I was upset. Yes, I interrupted him. But it's not my place to sit and listen to his lamentations. Then, Mr. Clark offered a $100 refund if I removed my negative reviews and complaint. VERY inappropriate and improper. He also left a mess of insulation in our upstairs room. Had he handled the situation professionally, without complaining about his problems, I would be giving him an A. Instead, I had to complete the job MYSELF.

The work was done right, and PS Electrical took care of permits and the inspection. Charlie went the extra mile to work around the time I had available for this. It's been over two years since the work has been done and I haven't had a single problem. As of this writing, I'm about to have them do some additional upgrades, and add heat to my garage. I have full confidence that it will be done right at a very competitive price. Thank you Charlie!
