Do Not Use. Mr. Clark came out the first time to do a job, but could not get him pinned down to a time to return and complete. Asked him 3x WHEN he could return, he insisted on lamenting about his problems. He hung up on me after I became frustrated with not getting a straight answer from him. (I have a witness to this conversation) Accused me of being irate. All I wanted to know was WHEN. It is improper to complain to a customer in such a manner. All he had to say was "I'm very busy so it may be a couple of weeks out." I would have accepted that. Yes, I was upset. Yes, I interrupted him. But it's not my place to sit and listen to his lamentations. Then, Mr. Clark offered a $100 refund if I removed my negative reviews and complaint. VERY inappropriate and improper. He also left a mess of insulation in our upstairs room. Had he handled the situation professionally, without complaining about his problems, I would be giving him an A. Instead, I had to complete the job MYSELF.

I will highly NOT recommend this guy; stay away from him. He is a great salesman. If his employees did half of what he sold, he would never have to worry about anything. He hires people under the table. Most of his workers are drug users. One of the workers he had working here stole a Peridot bracelet that belonged to my wife while he was here. The bracelet was on the counter when he got here and an hour and a half later, while he was still here, it was gone. He and I were the only ones in the house. We did not pursue that issue, and I didn't confront the worker about it because he was a lot bigger than I was. I confronted Charles about that he told me that I couldn't prove it, and he was right so we just let it go. I just wanted them to get done and get out of my house. We came home one night when they were supposed to be doing the wall board work, and I'm not sure if they didn't know that you are supposed to plastic everything off so the dust doesn't spread, but our house was covered in about a half inch of dust. When I called him he basically said, "sorry." I told him he needed to come out and clean it and he said he didn't do that kind of work, too bad. About a week after we fired them we were looking in the newspaper for another contractor so I wouldn't have to do the work and found a huge article saying not to work for Charles because he would still your tools. I found more articles about bad experiences with him on another website also. There were supposed to be about 3 workers here at a time, but we only had maybe one at a time. It was supposed to be a 14 day job and after 3 months we finally got them out of here. Their pricing was OK.
Description of Work: He was supposed to finish the remodel of a dining room and install a bathroom. We are still trying to figure out what he did! He did some form of plumbing and electrical work. He did get the bathroom frame in and the wall board. He never did get the toilet or shower stall installed. The electrical was done in the bathroom but was all done wrong. The plumbing I had to go back and completely redo. The plumber was going through plastic and copper pipe like it was nothing. My bill kept going up and up, and after we fired him I crawled under the house and saw why. They do not understand the main theory of a sewer line. They had sewer line through this and that, and everywhere. I ended up going underneath the house and cutting all the sewer lines and doing them correctly. The only reason I hired them was because I wanted to get this done before our 20th wedding anniversary. The original cost was supposed to be $9000, but we finally had to buy him out to get him off the job site.

It was an absolute nightmare! My client's tub flooded her downstairs because of install problems on New Year's Day. The sheet rock work looks horrible, you can see all the non-textured areas and bows in the walls they replaced. I just came back from the job site today on 1/19/08 because her sink faucet started to leak because of faulty installation. I almost sued this contractor based on non-completion and he had a NON-LICENSED PLUMBER AS AN EMPLOYEE complete this install. He walked off the job site, and then threatened to put a lien on my client's house if I didn't pay him the remaining balance. PLEASE EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR. He took the trim off from around the front door to get the new tub in the house, didn't replace the trim, and tossed out the old stuff. When I confronted him on it, he said that it wasn't him or his employees. I'm not the most experienced designer ever, but I know that blue painter tape around the door, is not the latest trend.
Description of Work: The contractor was hired to complete a small scale bathroom remodel including demo, sheet rock, plumbing, electrical, tile and cabinetry trim work.

This was the WORSE General Contractor we could have ever hired. He performed substandard inferior quality work, and did not complete services that we paid for. Every remodel horror story that you have heard about we experienced it with Puget Sound Contracting & Electric Co. From the beginning with a large change in the pricing from the original quote, collecting for services not completed, workers not showing up to job site, GC bouncing payroll to employees, being asked to make final payment to owner direct to avoid taxes. Receiving such substandard quality of work it had to be redone costing us thousands to correct. GC NEVER showing up to job site to see the problems that we contacted him numerous times about. Overall, I would avoid this contractor like the plague; would not recommend him to my worst enemy.
Description of Work: Puget Sound Contracting & Electric Co. was contracted to perform the following: Install shower tub surround, install tile flooring, install bathroom pocket door, include and install bathroom fans, install septic and cold water lines, install hot water line, include and install all new plumbing to complete the bathroom, install all new electrical wire for bathroom and dining room, install new wall board, tape, mud and texture. Relocate existing bedroom door.
