Parkinson Painting

We contacted a few different local painting companies to have our cedar house stained, and we met with who I believe was the owner of Parkinson's painting. He was very nice and personable, and we decided to go with their company because the person we met with seemed very nice and the price was reasonable. We had a few other places coming out to give us quotes but we canceled them once we assured that they would be taken care of by Parkinson's painting. After we agreed, it was a little hard to get a hold of anyone. We're trying to get a sample stain,it took us about 2 weeks to get ahold of someone then we were told that person was on vacation they apologized. The owner then came out a few days later with the wrong color and type of stain.not a big deal mistakes happen he said he would get back to us with the correct stain. The company then ghosted us. At this point in the season we are now unable to find a company that is available to do staining this season, so now we have to wait till next year. I'm extremely frustrated with Parkinson's painting.we also went with them because they had painted a family members of ours house. That family member let us know,that they had similar issues with Parkinson's painting and had to call them literally every day in order to get them to get the job done. Got the feeling overall that Parkinson's painting may only care about your projects if it is a large commercial project.

We used Mr. Parkinson for over 20 years. This particular job was not up to his usual quality because of a weather miscalculation. An unexpected downpour washed away a significant amount of paint; however his crew returned and made repairs as soon as they were able. Mr. Parkinson is honest and professional and generally our paint jobs have been very good and relatively inexpensive. If there were a A- available, that's what I would assign overall.

After the house is painted we will update the review.

They were excellent on everything. But the prices were a bit high. I got a bid from them a year ago for some other painting work but I didn't use them because of the price.

went a little slower than we had hoped -- told that they hoped to finish on a Saturday but they finished on Wednesday (we added a small room to the original plan) -- but the work was great so the few days was worth it.

Tom was very quick and he did good work. He was very responsive and professional. He was reasonably priced.
