Oscar's Lawn Service Etc

Oscar and his crew responded very quickly to our request for service and we were scheduled within two weeks. He is well know in our NE area and his services are in frequent demand. They arrived on time and worked steadily throughout the day to fix out aging landscape. When they were done, it looked amazing and we are very pleased. This is our second visit from Oscar and his crew and we have been please with the outcome of both visits. We plan to have him return and help us with our overgrown back yard in the future as well.

The provider showed up at my residence. We walked my land while I explained what I wanted done. When I was finished, I told him I needed a quote for the job. He left my house and that was the last I heard from him or his company. I really don't know if he can do a good job. What I do know is that he cannot follow-through with customers - at least in my case.

I called Oscar's Lawn Service to obtain an estimate for mowing our lawn on a bi-weekly basis. I spoke with Lillian who was very nice. I asked her if they serviced the Gig Harbor area. She explained that her husband does some areas of Gig Harbor but not all. She said she would have him call me back later that evening and we could discuss my location to see if he would service my area. To date, there have been no call backs and it will be a week tomorrow. I have spent 42 years in customer service with 2 major corporations and the one thing that I emphasized with my employees was the importance of returning calls to customers - and promptly. Failure to return a call tells me this company is not interested in my business. Word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool but can have a very negative impact when the customer is not satisfied or happy and then passes that along to others.

The owner of the company, Oscar, was nice but English was not his first language and I was never sure if he understood what I wanted. When I asked for his opinion, he would only say, "Yeah we can do that". His pricing was odd. He wanted $35/hr. per worker and there was 4 of them. Of course I don't know if this is standard or not. At-any-rate, I saw two of them trying to make it look as though they were working while waiting for the other two to finish pruning a tree. So it didn't seem right to pay those the same rate if they really weren't working. The finished job looked ok, but I won't be hiring them again for this year.

He does our lawn care monthly. I have a monthly contract with them to take care of my lawn. They do a good job. They come out weekly and they kept my yard looking really good this year. Sometimes I call them and request extra work. They did not charge me extra. They do a good job and that is why I keep using them. They are right in line as far as everybody else.

It was a huge job, but Edgar's Lawn Service was fantastic! They showed up as scheduled to give me the pricing and we both decided it would be more fair to charge me hourly. We went over what needed to be done, what plants should go\stay etc. This job took 7 days, 5 days of one person and then a weekend of about 5-6 people to finish. They showed up everyday as scheduled, worked hard the whole time they were here (except lunch break!) and were friendly and courteous. They hauled away several very large truckloads of ivy, backberry bushes, branches etc. They guys worked fast and were fantastic! Edgar showed up a couple of times to make sure everything was going as planned and to check in with me about how I felt about the work. I was very impressed with how much he cared about making sure I was happy! I think my neighbors love me again. My yard hasn't looked this nice since we bought the house! And, I've finally found a company that I can trust to come out every couple of on months and keep everything in shape.

Oscar arrived the day after we called to look at the lawn and provide us with a quote. His quote was cheaper than if we had rented the aerator and edger and done the work ourselves (which also would have taken time). He came back two days later (within four days of the original call) to do the work. He was efficient, thorough, and professional. We will certainly be using his service again.

They were very professional, on time and they came when they said they would. My yard looked very professional and they even had their own bins that they hauled the trimmings away in! Very impressed.

When I first contacted Oscar's Lawn Service I said I had only one request that was not debatable. I wanted straight lines in the lawn when mowed and neat, properly edged borders. My grass is beautifully mown and the borders neat each week. I would gladly recommend Oscar's Lawn Service to anyone wanting a nice looking yard. .

Oscar and his crew showed up on a Sunday and worked hard alll day. They pruned, took down some small trees and bushes, weeded, edged, layed 10 yards new bark and 5 yards of new pea gravel, and power washed. The yard looks absolutely amazing and brand new. I would HIGHLY recommend the Oscar and his crew. While they may be on the higher cost side, it was completely worth it. I can relax in my new backyard again. Thank you Oscar!!

It didn't go at all. I called the provider and left a voicemail message saying that I needed some work done and asking for a return call. I've gotten no response of any kind.

The crew that came did an excellent job - they worked fast and did a great job with what we requested. The clean up was thorough also. We have had several different providers helping with our yard trimming through the years and Oscar's by far is the best. I would definitely hire them again.

One day to clean up entire front and back yard. Ongoing lawn care. Good work, professional, and done in a timely manner.

They arrived on time and immediately started to work. They finished the same day, as Oscar had promised. Everything we wanted them to do was done. The work exceeded our expectations. They were respectful of the property and did a very through job. They hauled all the debris away and left the yard immaculate! We were so happy, we will have Oscar continue to provide lawn service until we sell the house. Well worth the money.

The work they did was ok, but I they could have done better.

Excellent they always see more that needs to be taken care of than I do and I feel I received more than promised.

It was a real gusty day, Oscar said good morning and we briefly went over what was agreed on when he was first here to give an estimate. Oscar briefed his crew of three on what to do and they went right to work. They where careful of all the plants and did a fantastic job on sculpturing the firs and Oscar started with the fruit trees. I had butchered them two years ago and he wanted to do those mostly by himself, although some of the team joined him at the end. By noon the job was finished. I was most impressed and have made arrangements to have Oscar back in the spring. He did everything he promised, his crew was professional and worked with smiles on their faces. They all earned a tip.

I got them from Angie's List. I have an acre. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. Their price was fair.

I have been using Oscar since 2011 and just can't say enough about the work he and his brother perform. They are reliable, do quality work and are very very affordable. The first time I used them was 2011 for a job that others bid $2,100 and they bid $1,500. The job was flawless. I have used them at my rentals and at my house since. I've got a good sized yard and they charge $30 to mow it! The job they're performing right now is a pruning of an apple tree that hasn't been pruned in two years ($125) and to arate my yard ($125). I got several different estimates before signing on with Oscars, and they were the most reasonable. They come out twice a monthly and do mowing, edging,weed whacking, and haul away of all yard debris. They are very flexible and have always accomodated me if i need to reschedule for any reason.

He first cleared all of the existing grass and cement. then added a small wall to create a level area for grass and a new paver walkway to the front door. I couldn't believe how fast the transformation took. the crew worked fast and very professional. the total job only took 2 days. Loved the results.
