Marlon (NW Autowork) is top notch! I have a e90 m3 and had him and his tech Spencer install solid rear subframe bushings for me. They did a fantastic job! A+. If you have a bmw I highly suggest this shop especially if you’re in the Tacoma area. I’d say they are the best and I wouldn’t even bother with any other shops if you have a bmw and live in the south end. They are really the best and pricing is fair. You’ve earned my trust Marlon and Spencer is awesome. I’ll be back again for future mods A++++ Thank you again guys!

Paid close to 2k in cash while not even resolving my issue, the vehicle has the same issues it went in with DO NOT TRUST MARLON I have brought my vehicle to Marlon for years. From when he was an independent mechanic in a small open garage shop in Lakewood after he left BMW Northwest. Now he opened a bigger shop and hired employees and Marlon essentially oversees things and doesn't do a lot of the work on vehicles brought into the shop himself. The mechanics that work here are new mechanics with not a lot of experience on these vehicles. Since then Marlon mostly handles calls and works the front desk. His operations have gone completely downhill. Marlon’s ego is too big for him to finish repairs on customer's vehicles. He will judge you the moment you walk into the door and do his best to take advantage of getting the most money off you. He may be nice in front of your face, but when you leave the door he will walk like he is tough guy with jealous spite. He carries jealous spite and can't finish repairs on time on customers who feed his business with money. He is incredibly lazy, unprofessional, and has terrible customer service. He wasted my money, and more importantly my time coming to Tacoma in traffic many times with an unfinished vehicle. One of my biggest mistakes was to let him and his clowns lay their hands on my vehicle. Before picking up my car to see if the BSD codes go away he tells me he tests drives it. I tell him very clearly over the phone are all of the BSD and voltage codes gone? He tells me I drove it for a while and the car drives OK and good to go. I drive back from Seattle to get my vehicle and what do you know? The voltage issues persist. I drive back to the shop the next day and then he starts making excuses saying he has other cars in the shop and that he can't source an alternator. I told him you can order a genuine one from the BMW Northwest parts catalog. He then tells me you should order it. Needless to say, I get my alternator installed at another shop and the BSD issues are still there. That's another $800 with parts and labor down the drain. That goes to show how unprofessional he and his staff are. All Marlow did was contribute to anxiety with an unfinished vehicle. It all started with him saying I have the wrong battery on my vehicle and he installs a world source one battery. I agreed with him to change my battery and water pump on my n55 since I was having an abnormal loud water pump and having voltage issues where the water pump line is connected to. He and his techs also installed a UUC sway bar with endlinks to my KW 1 suspension. When he and his techs installed the sway bar it clunked and hit against my rims. I contacted UUC and told them my tire, rim, and suspension setup and they said it will work no problem. Marlow and his clown technicians installed the first endlinks incorrectly and it popped out of place. Marlow then told me I need shorter endlinks, and I ordered shorter ones. The shorter endlinks were again installed incorrectly and created a bind with my sway bar because the sway bar was not adjusted with the vehicle at ride height. The length of the original endlinks was fine, just a poor install by the shop. I showed the install to UUC and they laughed saying at how any shop would install 11.5" endlinks on an x drive with the vehicle on a lift pre-loaded. Preload refers to stresses in the suspension when the car is at rest. A preloaded swaybar is one that is twisted. My sway bar was twisted at the 11.5" endlinks and hitting against my rims. He let the car drive out of the lot like that because he is lazy and does half-*** effort and just cares about putting more money in his pocket. I have been too nice to him for too long enough to be treated this way. He left the job half done because they do half-*** effort. If you want to be lied to, taken advantage of by a shop that has 'built its reviews' then look no further and go to NW auto work.

Marlon was professional and honest. I initially went in to get my car fixed due to known issues (so I thought) because of failed emissions testing. Once he assessed the car, he was able to identify the real reasons of the sensor failures. He could've easily charged me for everthing but he told me exactly what needed to be fixed and nothing more. I'm confident in his ability and knowledge of fixing cars! I definitely recommend NW Autowork.
Description of Work: I needed my camshaft and knock sensor holster replaced in order to pass the emissions test.
