 + -1 moreSanded, cleaned and refinished hardwood floors. They removed baseboards and isolated the area during sanding to keep dust down. They always cleaned up afterward and on final day reinstalled baseboards and asked us to inspect the work. Very professional.
Description of Work: Sanding and refinishing of entry way, hallway and first floor guest bathroom. They did everything they promised, had a great attitude and kept us in the loop from beginning to end. Would definitley recommend them and use them again.

Description of Work: I used Mr Sandman.info in December. My refrigerator washer was leaking and they had already washed the boards on the floor, which they had already done. They came back and repaired that; it happened because of my fault. I had to call them back, they had some personal problems as their lead man was quitting. Last time when they came, they took care of that.

 + -1 moreHe was very nice and punctual. He was the most affordable. The quality was not that good and there were some defects so we had to have him back out. He used a Mexican guy that he said had worked for him for a long time to do the work. He just showed up to get him started. We were out of town and when we got back there were some defects in the floor. The workmanship was not that good. He came back out and they did try to buff them out and put another coat on but it is still not right.
Description of Work: We used him to refinish our floor.

Description of Work: Installed prefinished hardwood flooring in basement of client's home. I am an interior designer and often recommend Mr. Sandman. He is the best! He is a joy to work with, always professional and thoughtful. Mindful of budget and a perfectionist! Also extremely clean...no dust which is a huge issue in his field of work. (wood dust clinging to freshly painted walls is a bad thing!). And he is prompt and fun. Give him a call!

The work was completed before his estimated completion time (not sure if this is usual for him or due to us not having moved into the house yet) and our floors look fantastic. He suggested some options that others did not - for example, we had an open floor register covered with an ugly piece of plastic. He suggested an inset wood register which looks great! None of the others who came out to give estimates even noticed this. Finally, we just appreciated his enthusiasm for the whole process of restoring older homes. His is very personable and answers email/phone daily and promptly.
Description of Work: Darrel refinished all the hardwood floors in our 1910 home. He came out the same day for an estimate, and provided an on the spot estimate for his services. His prices were a fair bit lower than others in the local area, which contributed to choosing him. Additionally, he came with his work calendar in hand so that we were able to know exactly when he'd be available, which was very helpful since my husband and I both work and we needed some creative coordinating. He also refinished the floors in several of our neighbor's homes on the same street, so we were able to see examples of his work in person. The quality of his prior work along with the more competitive price led us to choose him.
