MJ's Housekeeping

Tracy was great. Called day prior to confirm. Showed up on time. Polite and professional. She did a great job. I will use the service again and recommend MJ's to everyone.

Sometimes I leave a list an they don't always do everything on the list or put things back. I've had different cleaners over the years. My current cleaner is new.

MJs housekeeping does a decent job. We have had a total of three different ladies from MJs, and while the housekeepers do not exactly overwhelm you with their ability to get things done quickly, they do an okay job. All have been friendly, and two of the three were mostly punctual. The lady they sent before this was a big problem- she'd want to sit around and talk if I was there, and her life was constant drama. She would constantly call in sick and they wouldn't send a replacement. She locked herself out of my house when taking out the trash and was furious that I didn't get the message until hours later, and another time her car broke and I had to drive her to her mom. Also, I'd given her a house key and then she quit, and despite repeated urging, she's never given it back. Lastly, I'm not entirely sure that MJs licenses or bonds the individual housekeepers. That would be good to know. However, I will keep them for now because it's really hard to find a great housekeeper in Tacoma.

I get the house cleaned one or twice or as needed, because I don't stay in the house. 4 Hours are not enough to clean my house, so I just ask them to clean where it is needed most. When I call after a couple of months, they remember me, and they know me, and they work very hard at providing someone. They are never no shows. The pricing is very good.

It went very well. The price is not cheaper.

For 15 years was with Dana's and now that it has changed to MJ Housecleaning and seem like they are doing quite as good as a job as they did before buying out MJ's housecleaning.

I have always had a great experience with her.

I like the way the business model is, but their house cleaners are independent contractors and they are a scheduling agency, because our payments go to both the contractors and them. The thing I like about them is that I don?t have to take the decision of hiring or firing and if I don?t like a particular cleaner that comes, I can call them and they will send me someone different the next time. We have had the same cleaners for 2 or 3 years at a stretch. I think their prices are competitive.

The first time I scheduled, the cleaners did not show up. When I called, the Dana's rep was very apologetic and said they had been "let go". I rescheduled and this time they did show up, but did not clean the house very thoroughly, even though I left a detailed list of instructions. When I called to give feedback, the rep was again very apologetic and said that those two cleaners had also been "let go". She offered 3 hours of complementary cleaning which I accepted. I was satisfied with the cleaning this time, but I can't really recommend this company because of the scheduling hassles and incomplete cleaning work the first time.

I was told by the management that they are not able to verify the housecleaning experience of their employees. They said it was not uncommon for their workers to not be able to make a bed, and no way to guarantee that their workers would be skilled.

The people changed every week, so there was no consistency in service, seemed I had to tell the 'new' people how I liked things done every week, and if I wasn't at home during appt then I came home to things done 1/2 way. Forgetting to put back a garbage can? Leaving it in middle of room?

DANA'S HAS BEEN GREAT IN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM AND REFERRING THEM TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR HOUSECLEANING. THEY ARE EFFICIENT, DO A GREAT JOB AND WORK OFF A LIST I COMPILE FOR THEM EVERY VISIT. THEY USE OUR PRODUCTS THAT WE PROVIDE WHICH ALLOWS THE COST TO BE LOWER AND THE PREFERRED PRODUCTS TO BE USED. THEY WORK QUITE WELL AROUND KIDS WHO MAY BE HOME FROM SCHOOL ON A CLEANING DAY. IN ADDITION YOU HAVE THE SAME PERSON EVERY TIME, IF THAT PERSON LEAVES YOU CAN TRY OUT A NEW PERSON & IF NOT SATISFIED THEY WILL FIND SOMEONE WHO IS BETTER SUITED.
