They were excellent and top notch. It took about 2 hours of work. The quality of the work is excellent. It was a difficult install. The dishwasher had different piping and they had to do some modification. They understood how to do it because they had worked with this dishwasher before so they were able to make the modifications to get it fitted. A normal installer would have never been able to install it directly because the piping had to be modified. They (Mitchel Plumbing) understood and did an excellent job doing that. They advised me of what they needed to do and did it correctly. That is why I use them repeatedly. They are my go to plumber. I've probably used them a half dozen times over the past 7 years. I've been very happy with them. They have done new construction for me too.
Description of Work: They installed a new dishwasher and installed new shower heads.

They did an excellent job. The price includes cost of toilets. They took the old toilets with them. They put on slippers when they walk into the house. They are very conscientious of doing a good job and taking care of stuff. The overall quality is just excellent.

They had performed an annual service on the boiler in my home before I purchased the house. When it came due for it's annual service, I called them. BIG MISTAKE! The scheduling for the first appointment was easy, however when he did show up, he didn't have the parts to do the job. Told me that he could get them and we would need to reschedule; keep in mind he said that he would only charge me a half hour for the time he came out. The only problem is that he didn't do anything! When i tried to call and schedule the follow up appointment, he said that his receptionist was out of town, and didn't know how to work the computer. Really? The next week I called to schedule and the receptionist said that he would call me back. Two weeks went by and they did not call me back. Finally I called and we scheduled the actual service. However, when i asked for the price, i was told that he was not able to get the parts necessary and would not be able to perform the work. I told them i was no longer interested in working with them and would take my business elsewhere.

I called Charlie to arrange for the annual backflow assembly test. He quoted a price of $55 to perform the test and file the affidavit, on which I'd be copied. Two weeks went by and I hadn't received my copy so I called Mitchel to follow up; they had no record of a work order to perform the test but agreed to get it scheduled. A few more weeks later I received a warning letter from the water dept that the test was past due. I called Mitchel again; again, the office couldn't find a work order but promised to get someone out that day to perform the test. When the test was performed, the backflow assembly test failed. I wasn't informed of this until I called Mitchel a few days later because I still hadn't received the copy of affidavit. I was informed that a part was needed that had to be ordered; when it came in it would be installed, the system retested and assuming it passed, the affidavit would be filed and I'd be copied. Because this was the first backflow assembly test on a new irrigation system I wanted to know exactly why it had failed, what part was needed and whether this was under warranty, so I asked that the repair tech/tester meet with me to show me what he'd found, what was needed to repair it, etc. When he came out a week later he opened the system, showed me debris found in a valve, cleaned it and that was that--the system was tested and passed. I asked about the part that was needed; he didn't know anything about that--it was just this dried glue keeping the valve from closing--just needed cleaning out. A week later I got a bill from Mitchel for $184 (the test at $55 and $115 labor to repair the valve), with the affidavit showing the assembly had passed the second test. I called Charlie because after talking with the repair tech/tester it was clear that if the valve had been cleaned when the first tester was on site, there wouldn't have been the delay waiting for a part that wasn't needed and I wouldn't have been charged $115 for a service call--which took about 20 min to open/clean/reassemble this valve. Charlie explained all about the dozens of tests their people perform every day and that they didn't have time to diagnose why a system failed; that it was standard for them to order the parts that might be needed, so when they return they'd have what they need. He did agree to deduct $50 from the bill because I am a long standing customer (and because I hadn't been informed that their hourly rate was raised from $95 to $115).
Description of Work: I had Mitchel perform the annual backflow assembly test on my irrigation system. The first test failed. It was determined that debris (glue used to join sections of the line) had clogged a valve, keeping the valve from fully closing. This debris was cleaned out and the backflow assembly successfully passed a second test.

Description of Work: Replaced difficult outdoor bib that required opening two panels in kitchen sink for access. Did work in timely manner. Cleaned up sawdust and opened window after welding to reduce fumes.

I've worked with Mitchel Plumbing since 1997. I've always found them prompt, thorough, and skilled. Most recently, Charlie found a unique kitchen faucet (which I couldn't find anywhere, including the Internet) that would complement my vintage home. I trust their people to do the job as expected. In addition, I'm willing to leave a key for their person, confident my home is secure.
Description of Work: Mitchel Plumbing has handled numerous jobs for me for the past 8+ years, from fixing a leaky faucet to installing a new sink and water closet in a bathroom to ordering and installing appliances during a kitchen remodel. The cost described here is for a faucet, disposer, and sink as well as installation of these and a new dishwasher.
