I highly recommend Hopper Construction Inc. for remodels. Doug Hopper, the owner, was the builder (1991) of the amazing home I purchased in Sep. 2010. Our first meeting was to discuss the feasibility of some of my remodeling ideas. I was immediately impressed by Doug’s thoughts and recommendations regarding how he could implement my vision. Doug’s crew with expertise in cabinetry, appliance installation and plumbing completed the installation of multiple new appliances and plumbing fixtures with precision. The challenge was in adjusting the existing cabinetry and countertops to accommodate the new appliances including a double sided stainless sink. During the planning phase Doug guided me to ensure I didn’t waste money and helped with ideas for additional phases of renovations I envisioned based on my budget. Doug was both a good listener and a problem solver. Hopper Construction has performed other repair and maintenance work for me including replacing exterior patio posts and wood siding damaged by water and wood destroying insects plus cleaning and painting deck stairs. Based on my experiences having had remodel work done in previous homes I can say with emphasis that Doug epitomizes all the traits that a homeowner wants in a contractor. He’s flexible, professional, trustworthy and his prices are fair. Most importantly the workmanship and clean-up of his crew is meticulous. The original owner of my home had highly recommended Doug if I decided to make any upgrades. I bought my home based largely on the modern custom architecture and craftsmanship with the knowledge that a little refreshing would enhance an already unique home. Choosing Hopper Construction the original builder made sense. My home was built with challenging features including beautifully installed wood beamed ceilings, lots of skylights and large floor to ceiling windows plus unusual rows of celestory windows and multiple decks over looking Commencement Bay. My challenge in finding the right contractor was made easy by hiring the original builder who had perfectly created the design and architectural details created by the well known Tacoma architect Allen Liddle. I recommend Hopper Construction, Inc. for expert remodel work!
