FRANK & SONS CONSTRUCTION

We are very pleased with the work performed by the team at Frank and Sons. I'm not sure what happened with other people, but our experience has been fantastic. The entire team was super professional, timely, organized, and worked very well together. We were extremely pleased with the behavior of the project manager. He was always responsive, asked the right questions, and made sure we were informed. We introduced them to a new system for lifting and attaching roof systems and they did their own research (as would be expected) and helped us feel confident we hired the right team. We had an 10 x 40 patio covered installed using a system call SkyLift. We had four skylights installed and used standard shingles for the top. It was designed professionally and it went up without a hitch. They were quite busy but kept us pretty well informed about scheduling. They did a great job working around the weather, meeting key milestones on time. The subs they hired were as professional as they were and have done an equally good job. All-in-all, a great outcome, in large part due to the hard work put in by Frank and Sons.

They don't do good construction and I would not send them out to anybody's place with whom I want to remain friends.

Went well, they were very prompt in both providing estimate, as well as scheduling the service. They were courteous, professional, and did a great job overall.

I called Frank and Sons to request an estimate appointment. I left a message with an individual who said an estimator would call me back shortly and I did not hear back for 4 days at which I had already been contacted by a few other contractors. I agree with other reviewers, if you expect timely response in comparison to their competition, this organization is not the right choice for you. They probably do great work but the initial experience was not timely so I have decided to go elsewhere.

I submitted online request for service 8/26/2014. Office staff contacted me on 8/29/14 requesting contact info in order to schedule bid appointment. That was the last I've heard from them. Totally lame.

He came out pretty quick and he did a fair estimate. I think he responded fairly quickly and he was on time. He's been pretty nice.

Very professional, explained all details, offered options for the solutions.

They were very well organized, very thorough, they called for the bid, they did good work, instead of one person coming out for the bid he had all the subcontractors to come out and they looked at what they have to do and they gave him their bids. I like that because instead of one person coming and guessing how much the contractors are being charged he actually brought the subcontractors out so we know exactly how much they will charge. He came out first and looked at the damage and then came out the next day with some contractors as to what they would do. The subcontractors did very good job, very good professional work.

This was a wonderful remodeling experience. Mark and his staff were friendly, helpful, punctual, and reliable. They created an accessible bathroom, and worked with us to make it as affordable as possible. Even when we ran into difficulties (and I think there are challenges on every job), they handled the situation well. We are very happy with the results and look forward to working with Frank and Sons on another project soon!

Frank was very professional and knowledgeable. The bid process was very thorough. My only issue was his recommendation of an architect to draw up the plans before he would bid. I used his recommended "architect" but did not go with Frank and Sons to do the job because It would have taken us over budget. Unfortunately, the so called architect he recommended, did not do a very good job with drawing up the plans and the contractor we did choose had problems because of it. If I had it all to do over I would NOT have used his recommended architect because he did not return calls, cost ALOT of money, wasted money, and anyone with drafting knowledge could have drawn up the plans. The architect did not take into consideration the type of existing flooring we have and designed a floor which would not have had the same elevation as the home it was being built onto! His plans were inconsistent from page to page. There were other issues but because I am reviewing Frank and Sons I won't go into any more detail. My second selection would have been Frank and Sons and I am sure they would have done an excellent job.

They are absolutely wonderful. He was upfront and very honest. He could tell right off the bat that its way out of our budget so he was that fine.

We were on deadline and it took weeks to get them to respond with bids. Their subs were simply slow as molasses and when the bid did come in it showed a lack of real understanding of our projects. Their pricing seemed based upon the fanciness of our home rather and that simply is not cool with me. We decided not to use them because their prices were over inflated and their service up to and after the bid process was non existent. 02/03/2014 UPDATE... The contractor contacts me after my review to blame me for their behavior. Claimed that I contacted MANY of their subs outside of the bid process to get them to work for me. I contacted one of their subs because they were so slow at getting us a response I wanted to know where they were and HE offered to work for me. So they are also liars. Extremely unprofessional of a company to turn and blame a customer rather than themselves for a failed bid. When a contractor writes in his work sheet to ALL of his subs that " Customer's NEW MULTI MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE NEEDS SOME WORK" tells the contractors to UP their prices and that's what their bid reflected. I've had all my work done by other contractors to a very high standard at a fraction of their prices. NO THANK YOU!

See above - a great disappointment , Had me running around to see his people, yet he never bothered to get back to me. Did not return phone calls or emails. What a waste!

I had a massive water leak that affected all three levels in my house. Frank and Sons was one of three companies I contacted for bids. Rob was the person who came out to assess the amount of work and who provided the bid. Once I accepted their bid he became the project manager. He provided me with a written time schedule for the work that was to be done and promised to have me home for Christmas which he has done. The work included installation of insulation and sheet rock, wood floors, painting, electrical work and plumbing. He was the face of Frank and Sons on this project and he represented them well. All of my questions were addressed and he supplemented with additional explanation when he sensed that I had not understood his first response. I appreciated his professionalism and his expertise.

I found the estimator very knowlegeable and the estimate was in the ball park but it arrived 2-3 weeks too late and another contractor was hired within that time span.

This provider came out to give us a estimate for numerous home repairs. He promised to provide an estimate in a week, but we never heard from him again.

Time and weather had taken its toll on a length of fascia board on my 100 year old house. It was necessary to have the new piece cut to old measurements as the wood was done in "saw mill" dimensions years ago. The workers arrived on time and properly prepared to lift and nail in place a rather large piece of wood was painted to match the existing colors. It looks good and blends right in with the existing wood. I would recommend this company to anyone needing work done on their property.

called to have estimate and was told I would be contacted by Mark, 5 days later I called back to see why Mark had not contacted me and was told that he was not available for 3 weeks and that he does not come out after 5:00 or on weekends. If that is the case than why not tell me this when I first called. don't waste your time with this company

This was a very positive experience. Frank's drywall man Kevin did an amazing job and was very professional. He did a lot of work in the main hallway between the kitchen and bedrooms and was very patient with my boys when they had to get past him to get to the bedrooms or bathroom. Drywall is an art and Kevin is great at it and a nice person on top of it all. I would HIGHLY recommend Frank and Sons. I would use them again if I needed more drywall work done.

happy with new tub and glass block wall. Vanity & sink install was sloppy. had to call them back to fix and it still wasn't done well. So so is my impression. I think it was because my job was not a big one for them.

The estimate was too high for me but I thought they were very nice and personable.

That was good. The came out and gave me an estimate right away. It was an insurance claim and they scheduled me within a week to come and do the work and they got it done.

Frank came to our house quickly and did thorough job considering our project and what would need to be done. They took a week or more to return the quote when we were told we would receive it in 1-2 days. Other than that the overall experience was good. We didn't use them this time, but will consider using them in the future.

We communicated back and forth for a while. When they came out the second time some of the details changed so I decided to go with another company.

He was prompt and knowledgeable about the work that we needed done. He was going to replace the roof and floors in our home. I think he is really professional but he doesn't work well with women. He would not look me in my eyes or answer any questions that I had. He would only answer my husband when I asked him questions. And I didn't understand because he would have had to deal with me when he started the job. I thought that was weird so we decided to go with another contractor. I do not think we will use him again in the future.
