Excellent installation and scheduled quickly to meet my requirements. Very pleased with finished product.

This was a job paid by Washington Energy Services as part of my claim for their damage to the floor in our furnace room while installing a new furnace. Pete and his crew were very responsive, providing the lowest bid of three local providers. He was thorough and walked me through the options from vinyl to engineered hardwood. We took home lots of samples and took awhile to make a decision, but he was ready when the time came and did a wonderful job of removing the damaged floor and installing the new vinyl. I would definitely recommend Floor Covering Express to anyone in the Tacoma area!

The carpet we had originally ordered from another company was not available when it came time to go for it. They really helped us out I only had a few days to get new carpet in order to keep us in line for our opening date. They saved the day. I wish we had them do the instillation too as the team our contractor insisted we use damaged our freshly painted walls as well as left gaps etc.

Excellent from start to finish. This is my second project with Floor Covering Express and I remain vey impressed. Everyone I worked with was great! They removed an additional layer of flooring so now the area is all the same height. I'm very pleased with the result.

Bid was was too high went with a contractor for 1/4 the bid of this one for tiling a basement floor

I gave samples of the carpet I wanted installed. The service provider stated they could easily match the samples provided, on the day of installation I happen to check on the work from installation, however the carpet being installed was not what we discussed, and does not match my carpet that was initially installed. I reached out to the service provider to discuss why the carpet did not match the samples provided, he came out to my home to discuss the issue, after leaving my home, he has not returned my messages to discuss further adjustments.

Actually, this is the third time I have used Floor Covering Express, University Place WA, in the past five years. I have a preference for using a family small business instead of the big box retailers. As always is pays off with quality personal service. F.C.E. provides a large showroom with an excellent selection of flooring options. The installers (to include the owner) were prompt and professional. Two days to accomplish the tiling and carpeting. They cleaned up after themselves, worked expediently, and were always professional. A happy customer once again. Additionally, I took advantage of their 'Angies List Discount 5%'. I intend to use their service in the future.

It was an average or maybe slightly below average experience we had with them. They had scheduled appointments but there were no shows. Weeks scheduled and there’s no show the 2nd time. We’ll never work with them and would not recommend them. They were supposed to come and give us a final quote. They worked well with us in their shop. If we were making the investment, they were fine to work with us. When they needed to make the investment, they chose not to show up. I went 2 or 3 times to them. The owner, Pete, is an extremely nice man. He was very helpful to pick things out and look at things. Then they were supposed to come over and do measurements and give us a real bid to do the work and they said they’d be out the next week and we sort of had a timeframe in mind because we lined a tile guy to do the work and they also told us it’ll be a couple of weeks for the countertops to come in because it takes a while to get it. So we had a timeline in mind and we said we like to do it and have it done during this time period. They knew the time period and they said they’ll be out early next week to measure and do everything and I never heard from them. I left a message and I didn’t hear from them and I think they were quite busy but I never heard from them again. They have a great showroom. They got a lot of stuff to look at and to choose from. He is a really nice guy but I don’t know if they were just busy or what was going on but they just dropped the ball on getting out to see us. I haven’t heard anything negative about the work they do before we went in there. Our tile guy said he seen some of their work and it’s not the best but it’s not the worse he’s ever seen either. They lost their business because they didn’t follow through. Their pricing is fine. They were competitive with everybody else.

I was very impressed with everyone I worked with in sales and installation. They did a great job with challenging transitions to other flooring and I'm very pleased with the result. If I ever need flooring again I will definitely contact them.

We went to every flooring place in Tacoma and Flooring Express was the only place that had a match for the engineered oak floors in our new home. They made us a good deal on both the flooring and installation.

We ended up firing them. They agreed to take 18,000 because they did not finish the job. They did a horrible job. We have to hire someone else to finish. I have taken pictures and if need be someone can come look at the tile job themselves.

It was Saturday the young man was not very knowledgable could not give any prices. I took some samples and when I returned them and asked for a price on the flooring I chose they told me it was discontinued. I had to start over on my search.

Sales representative throughly discussed my requirements, showed and recommended samples, and fully answered any questions I had. Following a survey of the house an estimate was provided within a day and agreement made on price and work to be accomplished. Work was done completely and professionally according to schedule.

Called to get a bid, was asked to come into the show room to pick out carpet before they came to give me a bid and was told to ask for Randy. Randy was not available when I arrived. Chris helped me and told me he was the one to come give me the bid. Three men showed up on the day the bid was scheduled for, none of them were Chris or Randy (I am not 100% sure I have the names correct) . This was a bit intimidating. Why did three guys need to come to measure my floor? Only one guy did the talking and measuring. The small area that needed to be carpeted, measured exactly 12 ft wide. I was told that some carpet comes a little short of 12 ft and some comes a little over 12 ft, so I needed to order much more to make sure the carpet would fit the area. This added to the estimated cost substantially. I got another bid from a company that toldme the carpet could be stretched if needed, but that it would fit the 12 ft no problem. This company estimated the amount of carpet needed to be much less and I ended up going with them and was pleased.

I was very pleased with Floor Covering Express. I was very happy with the job they did. And they were polite. They did a wonderful job. They were efficient. They were quick in getting to me. Because I had a lot of heavy furniture to be moved, they also included moving the big stuff and storing it in our carport while they worked. Then they put it back when they were done.

I don't have any complaints. Their professionalism, cleanup and service were fine but I think their pricing was a little high.

In the showroom, they took a lot of time showing all the options that met my budget and needs. The installation was done professionally

We wanted a quick turn around time and contacted Topher asking for samples of material that they had in stock. They came out on a Thu with samples, we selected one, they dropped off material to acclimatize the next day, and worked Mon-Fri of the following week to complete the job. The project lead (Brian I believe) was very professional and solved any problem that came up.

They were fabulous. I am going to have them do the work again. They are excellent and outstanding. They care and have good product knowledge. They do a good job. They did what they said they were going to do. They did when they said they were going to do it. They are very reliable. They were good character. They have come out multiple times. I will recommend others to use them. They do a high quality work, and I will give them high rating.

They were awesome. I would hire them again. They were very personable. I believe they are family owned. They were right there to do the work and they did it right.

The first problem was that I clearly said I wanted to see Frize and Berber carpet samples along with laminate and vinyl. He brought no carpet with him and said we would need to go to the showroom; not what we were looking for. The bid finally showed up in the mail on Dec 31. I had mentioned that I wanted to make a decision that week. No phone call or email, just snail mail. Well, by then we had already compared two other installers quotes and selected one of them. Their bid was compareable to the company we went with before we started negotiating down. Too bad they were out of the game by the time the bids came in.

The workers completed the project efficiently and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. They also arrived on time daily, which was appreciated. Their prices are also competitive. The initial installation was done a few years ago, but we had them out for repairs and additional follow up more recently. I would highly recommend them for flooring installation!

They helped us with the selection and the process. They delivered when they were supposed to.

They were on time friendly and did what they were supposed to do. I was picky in choosing my sub contractors.
