Father Nature Landscapes

The provider came to our home and we discussed what we wanted to do with the yard. He was very nice, professional and easy to talk to. We explained that we wanted them to provide us with plans, but we wanted to perform the work ourselves. We only wanted to focus on one side of the house, but he said that their plans start at $500 and would include the whole yard. We felt that was incredibly expensive and not even what we were asking for. Had I been told that information in the Angies List advertisement, or even over the phone, I would not have had the provider come to my home and saved myself $50.

After researching contractors to bid my yard work out I was apprehensive to call Father Nature due to the size of what I thought was their "normal" scope of work consisted of after reading the reviews and price points on Angie's List. I called and spoke with Chris, he informed me that they do all sizes of jobs, we set up a time and he came out for a bid walk. Chris was very professional and knowladgeable, he made several recommendations and sent me an estimate later that day. His bid was very reasonable, I hired Father Nature and was scheduled for a completion date. Chris showed up on time and we walked through the yard and added a few extra details such as moving a plant and hauling some extra debris off. I told him to add it to the invoice and went off to work. I came home to meet another contractor during the day and Chris's crew was hard at work. When the job was complete my expectations were exceeded. Everything looked great! Best of all, their invoice was exactly what he had quoted, they threw in the extra items for free. As far as contractors go, Chris is very commutative, on time and professional which is what won him the job and the follow through and my satisfaction will ensure he gets my work next time.

Miserable experience. Design was late. Installation was not according to design. The design was to create a barrier to obscure unsightly objects in my neighbors yard, but the plants were placed in such a manner thaty they were situated one in front of the other, nullifying the effect of creating a boundary. Destroyed hundreds of dollars worth of plants- failed to tellme they would dispose of them. Removed brickwork I had specifically asked to not be moved and piled it up in my driveway. Masonry work came apart and I had to repair. Tree is now dying. Had to spend $2000 to correct the problems they created. The job they did replacing gravel with paver stones turned out well.

Excellent customer service! I felt like they really heard what I wanted. My only quibble would be that the work was not cleaned up completely, and I'm not sure the work was done in the manner I was told it would be.

I can't say enough good about Father Nature Landscapes. We worked with Chris on the list of projects and design plans. He was very professional, prompt and friendly. He listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions for improvements on our plans which is what we wanted, someone to help us figure out what to do with some of our outdoor space. He had a bid drawn up the next day. It was thorough and accurate and he had a team begin work a week later. Chris met his team out here the first morning and we walked through all the work to be done and he checked in again later the first day to see how things were going. Now about the crew that did the work, we worked with Fernando and his team and they did such an amazing job. They were so pleasant to work with, prompt, professional, very hard workers and like Chris when they saw an opportunity to improve on the design of our garden area they made the suggestion to me it and I loved it. They did this with a few different items on our list and I really appreciate it because they take pride in their work and care about making their clients happy. The whole team we worked with at Father Nature Landscape did a fabulous job, we love our new yard and garden and we absolutely will use them again for any future landscaping needs.

The representative came to my home in a timely manner. I told him what I wanted, and things I didn't want. Within 2 weeks he returned with a beautiful, but very expensive plan. After discussing the plans, we decided to look for someone else to do our landscaping. The price was too high, and there were several items that I had indicated that I did not want in my yard in the plan. If my budget would have been more, I would have used them. Very professional.

Most of the requested work went well except the overgrown box woods were not properly pruned as they ended up lopsided, meaning one side was cut back closer to the stock than the other side. Other than that, all was well. The crew was hard working and concientious of my requests.

My experience went very well. The plan he cam up with was very nice and he was easy to work with. I would consider using this company again in the future.

Chris came out and listened to my story. He was great to work with and made my ideas a reality. I have future plans to install a rain barrel behind the garage, as well as a gutter system on the shed behind the garage. Chris installed new drain pipes and extended them to the back of the garage with capped outlets so I can use them for those future systems. The work took one day to complete. I had issues with how some sod was put back. Looked really bad. Talked to Chris and he sent a guy out the next day and they made it right. Only thing is the driveway where the new pipes are have become uneven as the dirt has settled into the ditches that were dug. We will have to level it out. Also where the dry well was installed, some buildup of mud sometimes shows up after it rains. I'm hoping that will get better as the dirt settles and gets compacted from our cars driving on top.

I had a great experience. He was a super nice guy. He was great, very easy to work with and very friendly guy. He was very responsive. Within a very reasonable time he turned around and done a nice drawing for us.

Done in a day...beautiful and all have thrived in the location.

I can't say enough outstanding things about Father Nature Landscaping. I love working with Chris and his motto is "don't worry about it, it's easy." He became my knight in shining armor as their experts went to work and made it all work perfectly and look beautifully. Chris is uber responsive and so likable and easy to deal with. His personality is perfect for the job and now I know why we were referred to him!

They were professional, effective, prompt, hard working, and polite. The price was very competitive as well.

They were on time and worked hard for an entire week on our project. They are a local professional company and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very good. They gave me a drawing of the landscape design and they are very good in what they do. His workers came out and quickly do the job in one day. They did it very well.

We have a 1/2 acre of property, half of which was blackberry bushes. We purchased the $99 for complete landscape design Big Deal because we had issues that we didn't know how to deal with (boggy spot, sloped property, etc). When Cameron (owner) came out to see the property, he said the Big Deal was really for a city lot sized property, not one of our size, and if we went ahead with that, the plan/design would be very high level and not detailed. He said that we could apply the cost of the Big Deal to the regular price of a design for a property of our size, and so we did. The next visit was with the landscape designer and Cameron. We did a walk-through of what we wanted the final design to feel like, and provided a list of plants/trees we wanted. About a week later we got an initial design via PDF, and went back and forth with the designer about 3 times before we were happy with the plan. We talked with Cameron about bidding the plan, and noted we're not planning on starting the plan until next spring. We are supposed to schedule some time for him to come out, now that we have done some preliminary work (taking down trees, clearing the blackberries completely), so he can give us a rough budget for next year's plans.

HE WAS VERY NICE AND UNDERSTOOD OUR NEEDS.

We asked Chris to come out to our newly built home and give us an estimate on what the landscaping would be. We were given the option of using the builder's landscape company or doing it ourselves. With over 14 years doing our own landscaping we decided to do ourselves and contacted Chris, Father Nature Landscapes, to do it for us. With the first meeting we were impressed with Chris professionalism, manners and overall williness to do whatever we wanted to do. We had big ideas for the property but a limited budget due to the upgrades we did to our home. Chris was very patient with our ideas and offered his own suggestions, which we implemented in the landscape with tremendous results. We went over the estimate several times, tweaking it for budget reasons and came up with a doable plan. On the day of project start Chris came out and introduced us to his crew. His crew was outstanding from beginning to end. In fact, towards the end when we were rushing to close and the final estimate hinged on the landscaping being done, we came out to the house at 8:30 PM and found the crew still working feverishly to get the job completed. Now, that's dedication and professionalism to both Chris and his crew (our property proved a challenge to complete). The finished work was just unbelievable and my very picky wife was thrilled beyond belief over the transformation Chris and his crew did to our property. We could only completely finish the front yard, but the look was worth it. We had Chris slightly finish the side and back with fine, dark bark and hydro-seeding. Chris will be back next year to complete the back part of the landscape. We had Chris and his crew install Hunter sprinkler system throughout the whole yard, bring in fill dirt for raised mounds/beds, amend the soil for sod and hydro-seeding, apply the fine dark bark. We also had Chris and his crew bring in High Cascade granite boulders for both landscape placement on the raised mounds and also to provide a rock outcropping below our raised concrete patio behind our home. We also elected to place rock columns and rock bowl in the front for aesthetic purposes. All we can say is that out of the whole house building process, dealing with Chris and his crew was the sunshine and pleasure that we didn't get from the other aspect of the home building process. Would we use Chris, Father Nature Landscape, again...the answer is a resounding "DEFINITELY."

We had had enough of our shaggy front yard landscaping and sought out Father Nature to put in something more tidy and requiring less hands on labor from us. The gentleman who came and assessed our yard was very knowledgeable and listened to our need to not have to be in the front garden every weekend for it to look nice. We sort of let him have free reign from a design perspective with the proviso that he leaves the tulips, irises and major trees intact AND stay within a $3000.00 budget. He came back with a nice roomy design plan that deviated enough from the previous home owner's efforts that it showed a distinct and upgraded change. He and his crew came in late December and completed the task in one day's efforts. The plants were not very mature but that helped keep us on track from a budget perspective. It looked AMAZING! It was neat, tidy and showed some artistic flare that I know we could not have achieved on our own. We are convinced the look that Father Nature's designer and team accomplished helped us sell our house very quickly in June. If we were still in the area, we would most definitely use Father Nature again and again! What was actually done: a monster ton of ivy was scrapped out of forward planting bed entire area weeded new rock path stones placed 3 new small trees planted a gravel area with rock slabs created to house an existing bench under a tree - awesome visual outcome here by the way. and the entire area mulched over after it was done.

Terrible service, didn't do what I paid them for

They did everything I asked and my yard looked beautiful!

Father Nature did a a great job for us and met our desired completion date. The crew was on time every day, cleaned up before leaving each day, and were very courteous and friendly. The foreman made sure to be right there when tricky work was being done around underground utilities. We had a couple follow up items for them, which were accomplished quickly with no fuss. Chris was great to work with and made sure we were happy.
