About us

Father Nature Landscapes is a design, construction & maintenance company based in Pierce County and we have been in business since 2006. Our process begins with a visit to your property where we discuss what works, what doesn't and how you would like to use your land. We'll discuss the possibility of a design, quote a price on site making sure your goals are met and follow-up with a landscape design! During the design, we will create the yard of your dreams; then in the construction phase seek to provide amazing service, proactive project management and clear communication. Once the project is complete, we complete a final walk-through with you and will correct anything that doesn't meet agreed upon expectations. We're looking forward to creating the perfect outdoor living for you!

Description of Work: Chris Scheer's company, Father Nature, redesigned and replaced my very old and tired-looking small front yard with crisp-looking curbside pavers and pathway to the backyard gate and beautiful low-maintenance plants. They removed all of the sod, tilled the soil, moved the sprinkler heads so that they would provide coverage for the new plants, added rich topsoil and, after an initial sketch by a landscape architect and extensive consultation with me about type and color of plants that I would like, filled the small yard with tasteful and beautiful groupings of drought-resistant plants that thrive in the Northwest..They added a little "dry creek" of grey river rock beneath my downspout and covered the ground with a thick layer of fine, dark mulch. In addition, they removed and replaced some old plants in the backyard for me. The project from start to finish took only two days and the yard looks wonderful. When they left, the sidewalks were swept, plants watered, and all debris removed. Chris came by two days later to be sure that the sprinkler system was coming on as programmed. I could not have asked for a more professional and satisfying experience. Chris' initial estimate included removal of all of the larger, old rhodies near the house and was more expensive than I could afford. When I let him know this, he came out and we walked the yard again and pared down the job in a way that preserved the important parts but cost significantly less. To help me visualize it, Chris sprayed lines to show the width of the paver paths and the location of the larger plants. He is an excellent communicator...listens carefully, responds by phone or e-mail promptly, follows through on what he promises, is flexible, knowledgeable about landscaping alternatives and open to changes. His crew is equally friendly, efficient and respectful. I would use Father Nature again in a heartbeat.
