Family Movers

It didn't happen. I called and was directed to a scheduler's voicemail. Left a detailed message with a promise of a call back. After a week of no call back I called and was told they were all booked up. If they would have returned my call I could have lined up someone else.

We needed to hire movers because my daughter's husband, who is in the Army, was assigned to a month long training when the move had to occur. I couldn't do it alone as there were 3 flights of stairs at both apartments. We called on a Monday to arrange for a Friday move and they were able to accommodate us. The Good (everything but the pricing): The movers showed up on time (although they were supposed to call us first and didn't) and were very professional. They took great care of the furniture, including wrapping the mattresses, and couch. They also carefully packed (wrapped) the table, end tables, coffee table, glass shelved TV stand and the TV. Everything was done quickly and professionally, and all items were placed in the new apartment where we wanted it. This took a total of about 6 hours (which includes time for the movers to drive to our location and back to their shop). The not so good (the pricing): Barbie was very polite on the phone and explained everything in great detail except for the pricing. They estimated the move at taking 8 hours with two people. I told her I didn't think it would take that long, but she said for the size, what we had, and distance, that's what they were estimating. Barbie did not explain that we would be charged for the 8 hours even if it took less. When I called her after the move to try and get a refund for the two hours, she wouldn't budge. I told her that I had mentioned that I didn't think it would take more the 5 (with the extra hour for travel making it 6), she said that didn't matter due to the type of contract we signed (which was because we gave them short notice). I asked if we would have been charged more if it went over 8 hours, and she said yes, so I don't understand why they wouldn't refund the 2 hours. I guess I should have read the contract better, but we were so busy with packing and other things, that I didn't get to read all the fine print. Overall, I would highly recommend these movers. Even their per hour price is decent, you just have to make sure you read your contract fully before you agree to it.

They were just wonderful to me and willingly helped reschedule another time, the same day. It helped me so much.

It was an excellent experience overall!

The staff was prompt, polite, efficient, friendly, and well trained.

It was a reasonably good experience, but I called them and told them I needed moving guys on a Saturday for a disabled woman. The guys helped more than usual, but a bit less than what I expected for what I needed them to do. I was very disappointed in them for the communication, and the loading phase of the move was a disaster because of this.

We were very impressed with Jeff's attitude on the phone, with the company dedication to customer service and the reports we heard about their practice of meeting with their employees weekly for customer service training. Rudy and Pedro were extremely hard working, polite, cheerful and dedicated to serving us well. Our only detraction from an excellent rating was that I think the job was underestimated. I expected that I would have underestimated by an hour or so myself and anticipated that, but it was actually underestimated by 3 hours. I would have expected a closer estimate by the company for the number of hours this job would take.

THEY WERE NICE AND HELPFUL. THEY MOVED THE FURNITURE FAST BUT WERE VERY CAREFUL. THEY HAD TO MOVE VERY HEAVY ANTIQUE HEIRLOOM FURNITURE AND THEY DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE THEY WERE CAREFUL, FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT.
