David Hess Construction

We hired David before in another home, for bath/kitchen remodeling. He was fast, professional, and hardworking, and did A work, so we assumed we would have a similar experience. I'd seen David's remodeling work at other homes, and knew he had software available to do complete remodeling work, I thought our project was a simple procedure compared to his scope. He had personal things going on (his wife was undergoing surgery) and while he was prompt, he did not lay the tile evenly, and did not use spacers. He also told us it was okay to walk on the tile while it was settling, HUGE NO-NO, and it created a warp or EXTREMELY uneven flooring. This is my kitchen! This is the room EVERYONE goes to. While he was removing applicances, he actually damaged/dented the dishwasher and replaced it with one from a craigslist sale (used)...The heated flooring was a great purchase, thanks to his recommendation, and I would highly recommend doing that before tiling, especially tiling the kitchen floors. Because of how uneven the tiling is (the spacing between tiles), and how the floor is extremely uneven (some areas are slanted based on the spacing and from allowing us to USE the kitchen while the tile was settling), it is very challenging to clean between the grouts and your toes can get injured when there is tile sticking up.
