C & A Housecleaning

Reveca Quoted a price of $275 for a deep clean. She said it would take about 6 hours. It took about 2.5 hrs. Btw, I live in a house that’s only about 900 sq. Ft. and the house wasn’t a disaster, I just needed help, as I am a senior citizen, getting to those areas that I have a hard time cleaning myself. Initially, I thought they did a good job, but upon closer inspection, the tops of doorways and windows weren’t even dusted (I specifically requested this). The backs of the blinds were never dusted, windowsills weren’t wiped off, and there were still fingerprints on doorways and light switches. They washed the living room floor, though I never requested that. I have never paid to have my house cleaned before and was seriously disappointed in this service.

Reveca arranged to come to the house to give an estimate, and then did not turn up for the appointment. No phone call. The estimate was rescheduled finally and done. Then she did not turn up for the job!! And then lied about trying to call! The job was rescheduled and completed a few days later. The work was fine, but the amount of stress created by her lack of reliability took the shine off the job, excuse the pun.

They did not show up for their appointment, and did not call to cancel. She texted me an hour and a half AFTER the appt. to say she was running late because of a doctors and lawyers appt that ran late, but to not worry because she would come by sometime that day. She has a phone and could have called BEFORE the appt to let me know she was not going to show up. I had taken time off work to meet her, and this was a waste of my time and also money for taking time off work. I was shocked at how incredibly unprofessional this was, and that she thought she was doing me a favor just show up sometime today instead. I would expect more of someone on Angie's List with an "A" rating and Angie's Service Award.

These ladies are great! I will be hiring again.

When I initially spoke with Rebecca she asked about the house and what we wanted done. I explained the house is 1960 sqft, in nice condition and there is really nothing “dirty” about it, but I just wanted things to be disinfected/wiped down before moving in. She said that would be a “deep clean” where they do window tracks and behind appliances and such for $275. I’ve never hired house cleaners before, so I was a little surprised at the cost but I assumed that must just be the going rate and a deep clean sounded great! We scheduled for Tuesday 11/14/17 at 3pm as our sale closed on Monday 11/13/17 and that’s when we got the keys. On Sunday 11/12/17 Rebecca texted me “tomorrow house cleaning at 11:30”. I replied I had her down for Tuesday 11/14/17 at 3pm. She said “Yes I’m sorry Tuesday is ok”. I asked my parents to meet her at the house as I had an appointment that day. The crew was 30 minutes late and then told my parents the house is bigger than I said. It will be $375 instead. My mom told her we just bought this house and know without a doubt it is 1960 sqft. My dad offered to pay them for their drive time and they could go if they couldn’t honor the quoted price. She said she wouldn’t do the “deep clean” but they would clean for $275. My parents agreed and said they worked for about an hour and a half and it smelled clean when they returned. As I said, the house wasn’t dirty to begin with so I have to assume they cleaned the important things like the kitchen and bathrooms. I’m not sure if Rebecca sincerely thought the house was bigger or that she could get more money out of my parents. But either way it left me with a negative impression. I don’t like the feeling of being bamboozled, but I especially don’t like the thought of my senior parents being taken advantage of. The whole thing was uncomfortable. One other odd thing is, last Friday 11/24/17 Rebecca texted me, if my mom wants house cleaning she has December 5th open. I said she didn’t mention that but I’d ask her. When I asked my mom about it, she said she never discussed that with Rebecca and isn’t sure what she is referring to. I don't know if this was just a mix up, or an effort to get business? I don’t typically hire house cleaners, this was an exception. But if I did, I would look for another Company. When I’m paying a significant amount of money for a service, I’d like what I was told to be honored. There were too many inconsistencies for my comfort.

Rebecca and the crew did an amazing job. They stayed till the job was done, which in this case was over 4 hours. The owner responded immediately upon my inquiry, called ahead to confirm the appointment, and the workers showed up right on time. My mom was so thrilled with their work. They were able to overcome her skepticism on hiring people to clean her home.

The ladies are professional and do a great job for a fair price.

Excellent. Rebecca and one associate arrived a bit early and went to work immediately. The entire house was immaculate in about 4.5 hours. I have no complaints and recommend them highly. I plan to hire them again as needed.

I had to cancel the service request, but when I called, she was very understanding of that as well, and cancelled without any problem. Because of this, I will reach out to her when things settle and ask for her help again very soon.

They were amazing. They not only cleaned, including windows, they organized. I've had them back again and again. They are wonderful and I highly recommend them.

Went great, 3 women showed up right on time and went straight to work. they cleaned every room, moving furniture as needed. cleaned inside oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, all window sills and tracks, shades, everything sparkling clean. Far exceeded my expectations. plan to have them come back bi-weekly to keep it this way.

Magically! I'd originally booked another cleaner for this job (a week out from the service date). When they no showed on the day, I called C & A in a panic. I explained the situation, and said that I knew they don't typically provide same-day "emergency" service, but this was my "Hail Mary" pass. I was desperate. I was hosting an event in my home the next day. Rebecca said they would take the job! They arrived within 90-minutes and after a quick assessment and quote, the crew of three went right to work. They worked so quickly and so efficiently (and thoroughly), I could hardly believe it. It was as close as I think I will ever get to experiencing a fairy-tale cleaning job (think Mary Poppins). It was a flurry of cleaning products, dust rags, brooms and vacuums and suddenly, WHIZ-BANG, they were done and the place was spotless! I will absolutely be hiring this team again!

They were really good but I just did not like that the 5% discount was not honored the first time. They stated that they will honor it the next time. They were thorough and good workers.

Rebecca gave a price for a deep clean to start....for her and another. They got straight to work cleaning fast and furious. My husband said he has never seen such great cleaning for some time. They worked so fast and throughly when I got home I could not believe it. WOW! Thank you for helping us get back on track...!

Excellent! They followed instructions very well and even though I told them everything didn't need to be 100% perfect, they did it all thoroughly.

They did an outstanding job. My former landlord was so impressed she returned the deposit in full to me on the spot. She said that she had never seen it so clean. The house I moved into was filthy. I had one cleaner go in there and clean, but they had no time to do the frig and stove. These ladies cleaned those appliances plus helped me get organized. They were wonderful!

Very thorough cleaning job of a house before we moved in. They were prompt, very nice, and able to fit us into the schedule quickly! We will absolutely use C&A Cleaning for future household cleaning and move-in/move-out.
