Bulwark Exterminating - Seattle/ Tacoma

Right on pi point. Andrew sent me a reminder the night before and I appreciate it had a picture attached so I would know who I was working with. Andrew arrived 5 minutes early, came to door and did a check in to see if any issues or concerns and then got to work. Andrew checked in after to let me know he was done. BONUS, I appreciate Andrew went around the whole house and swiped all the cobwebs and any critters away. Thank you Andrew

We showed him around the house and pointed out our areas of concern. His knowledge was very impressive and we feel confident that our pest issues are under control.

The communication the day prior to treatments is a great help as I, unfortunately, have to keep the backyard secured. This prevents me having to rush home. The updates after treatments is awesome as well. Really appreciate the service.

My technician was Matt Ferguson this quarter, he was very thorough and courteous. Took care of some issues in the kitchen , even a couple I wasn't aware of! Then did the outside of the house...did a great job!

We have a contract for quarterly pest control and mole services. Also, when services are needed, the techs come and perform additional services free of charge. They do amazing job, as I saw some mole activity this morning, called Bulwark, and they were able to send a tech in this very afternoon to take care of it! These guys are fantastic!!! Monique Brown performed our service today. She was right on time, very polite, professional, and very-very pleasant. Thank you Monique for the great customer service!

Tony from Bulwark was awesome today! Very knowledgeable and professional and went straight to work on his craft getting rid of those pesky 🐜 's in the bathroom! He also placed a bait trap behind the garage for those Big City Rats! Very satistied!

Bulwarks been amazing, I've been going thru them for almost 3 yrs, since I move into my house , it's been a year now, that I have not seen any ants 🐜 in my house, so they're doing an Amazing Job.. Keep up the good work.. I'll definitely recommend them to my family & friends

Don't waste your money or rely on their lies that Bulwark's experience, certifications or insurance will protect your property that their ineptitude, crap products/procedures might damage. We mistakenly hired them to protect the perimeter of our newly constructed home shortly after moving in March 2015 knowing that surrounding construction would disturb the pests and didn't want them to find a way into our home. For 5+ years we paid for, and turned away inspection and service offers from other pest control companies (now to my never ending regret) thinking we were protected by a reputable and stand up company, so why switch? We recently sold our home and in advance of the home inspection, I went into the crawl space which I hadn't been in since late 2015. The stench of rat urine or worse almost knocked me backwards just opening the hatch and I knew we had a massive problem. I WAS NOW A SLUMLORD OF MY OWN HOME AFTER PAYING A WORTHLESS/SCAM OF A "PEST CONTROL/EXTERMINATING" SERVICE 5 YEARS TO DO NOTHING MORE THAN I COULD HAVE DONE BY BUYING RAT BAIT BARS AT HOME DEPOT. After 2 disgusting hours masked up and in coveralls, wet dry vac'd over 25 gals of rodent poo, chewed rigid insulation, construction sawdust and floor joist insulation that rats had shredded and dropped to vapor barrier. Floor insulation was obviously being used as nest as 3/4 it was hanging down with dripping black pee streaks and poo droppings rained down when I tried to get it back into joist space. The thick black vapor barrier should have no holes, but rats had chewed numerous holes throughout and when plastic was pulled back, there are dead rats, tons of poo and evidence of burrowing, all of which Bulwark advertises and claims to this day their services prevent. I say BS When I saw this issue I called Bulwark right away, was passed around several times but was assured by supervisor "George" that my service guarantee covered crawlspace damages but they did not do repair work. He assured me Bulwark was licensed, bonded and insured but it was necessary to send a tech out to take pictures. I obtained a repair abatement quote (which requires removal of all insulation, vapor barrier, rodent droppings, seal airspace, fog/sanitize crawlspace, locate & seal all rodent entry points-using mesh/polyurethane foam or concrete, new r-30 insulation, vapor barrier, re-wrap all pipes, set traps in crawlspace, re-inspect traps at 2 week intervals to insure 100% completion - all in a toxic environment) of approximately $5500 from a specialist company who laughed at me when I said I'd been using an exterminating service for 5 years and expecting them protect my home. At that point, I still hoped Bulwark was a reputable company and would stand by their commitments. I provided the abatement quote to Bulwark tech for George's review when pictures were taken. Needless to say, this was a very stressful and embarrassing situation for us to disclose to our buyers, which we did prior to the inspection. Being forthright and accepting cost responsibility allowed pending sale to go forward with repair contingency that until my conversation with Bulwark supervisor Dillon late on 9/27, I was reassured that Bulwark's insurance coverage would make substantial contribution toward $5500 abatement cost they caused. I'll skip the side circus of how many phone calls it took to get call 9/27. Here's their position: -Bulwark's service agreement only covers damages to customers’ homes that are caused by their techs while on service calls, basically if they step thru an attic ceiling or hit your garage door with their truck. They take 0% responsibility for damages to pests that breach the "BULWARK - BARRIER" that they advertise and claim as "EFFECTIVE". I say and our home is evidence = 100% BS. On 9/27/20, Dillion called and told me his "team" had reviewed his tech's pictures, my committed abatement quote and my 2015 service contract. He advised that the maximum Bulwark was prepared to contribute to repair our damages was to refund 3 quarterly service billings $92 or $276, plus the $92 that the tech charged me when he came to take pictures of the damages (re-baiting ineffective perimeter defense boxes he had just documented - talk about dumb & dumber), as this was 180 degrees different from what I'd been told previously, I was more than upset, disappointed and insulted. At this point, we are obligated to fix our home, whether we sell it or not. But as far as Bulwark is concerned, I tried to deal with them, directly, fairly and forthright, but was misled and lied to at every step in this process. My mission now is to recover my abatement costs via the court system and to share this experience in as many forums as possible so that no other family gets mislead into relying on their misrepresentations. Buyer beware, contract with Bulwark Exterminating at your own risk, as you truly will be on your own and you'd be better off flushing your money down the toilet vs. relying on their reputation or warranty.

Over charged me and admitted it but have not refunded.

Went well. We began seeing carpenter ants in several rooms. Bulwark came out promptly, charging much less for the initial treatment than other companies researched. They also offered to come back for free if we saw more ants. Person who came knew a lot about carpenter ants and was very thorough. We plan to use them regularly..

Completely professional! Called to remind about service. No pests after service. Made sure areas of concern were addressed. Have hired them for recurring seasonal service as a result. Nice work Bulwark!!!

They showed up on time, worked with my tenant to schedule a time that was convenient and sprayed the unit.

They are prompt and ants are no longer an issue.

Just what I was looking for, they killed the pests.

They had to come out quite a few times and we still have ants, but they are greatly reduced. They called regularly to check up and sent out someone each time. I don't know if someone else could do a better job of totally eradicating the ants, but Bulwark is very responsive.

Great. Follow up was terrific. And they have already come back for a follow up extermination, since it's a bigger problem than anticipated. It will likely be a long-term relationship.
