Description of Work: Cancelled appointment and never responded when I called back to reschedule.

Description of Work: Please do not let Mike into your home. He is dishonest. I believe he is posing as a window washer to gain access to houses and steal. I purchased a living social voucher. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. One afternoon to my suprise Mike answered the phone and said he was in the neighborhood and would be at my home in a couple of hours. I paid an additional $230.00 above the voucher for all the windows to be washed inside and out. He washed 4 windows and said it was getting dark and he would be back. He has not returned to wash the windows and will not answer calls. By email He has set 4 appointments to return but never shows up for the appointments. I believe he also stole items while in my house. Mike taught me a valuable lesson. Do the research on Angies list and the Better Business Bureau before purchasing on Living Social or Groupon.

Description of Work: American Window Cleaning has truly disappointed me and my family. I purchased a Groupon for window washing inside and out back in October 2011. Price was too good to pass up and I wanted to get my elderly mother's windows cleaned for her. After three reschedules of our appointment they finally called and left a message that the appointment would be on August 2nd. They arrived on July 30th at her home ready to do the job but, of course, she did not have the Groupon because I was planning on taking it to her on August 2nd! The co-owner spoke to me on the phone while at her house and said he could not do the work without the Groupon. I explained that he was three days early and asked if I could mail in the coupon. He absolutely refused to do that and insinuated that I was wrong about the appointment date. I asked what I needed to do now in order to get the job done and he said he would have to talk with his brother to see what he can do and get back to me! Don' think I will be hearing from them anytime soon. He is one of the owners and he can't make a decision???? Please do not use this company. Very unorganized and there is no way to actually talk to someone in the office to reschedule. I am getting my money back from Groupon!

Description of Work: If you are thinking about purchasing services from American Window Cleaning Co. in Tacoma, WA, I urge you not to do it. I purchased a voucher through Amazon with them and they took forever to schedule my window cleaning (3-months), rescheduled twice with minimal notice, and when we were finally set for them to come do the work they told me they had a new owner and that I was going to have to pay an additional $85 to get my windows cleaned. Instead of the cleaning I had purchased (inside and outside) they "changed the billing structure" and wanted to charge me separately for the inside and the outside of each window. This is bait and switch at it's worst - I called Amazon and got my money back!
