The company delayed the repair and took an additional three days (four total) and broke the glass panel charging me to replace it. On Thursday April 21st, 2011, the call came that the vehicle was complete and I asked to make payment when I picked it up and was told they could not wait on me and I could pay over the phone and they'd leave the key in the vehicle. The invoice only reflected a glass replacement for $250 + tax with no mention of the originally scheduled seal leak repair, and at this point I was ready to just pay it, write it off as a bad experience and never use them again or refer them to anyone. However, when I looked over the work in the daylight the next day, I was in for a terrible surprise! First of all I saw clusters of fine scratches down the passenger's side rear body panel and the rear door. It looked as if someone had drug a hose or extension cord across it. When I looked closely inside I could see water still leaking in from the top where it had been originally. Then, on the exterior of the rear panel surrounding the glass panel were a series of notched marks where the paint had been chipped off consistent with some type of tool or blade as it looked. Several of these notches had sheared down to the bare metal leaving it exposed and ugly. I called the owner, Russ Jenkins, and reported what I saw that day. This was one day after picking up the vehicle at his apparently closed shop with no one around and my key on the floorboard. He told me to come in on Monday and he would look at it and that there was likely nothing they could do about it. On Monday, April 25th, 2011, my wife and I took the vehicle in to his shop. As I began to point out the damage and question what had happened, Mr. Jenkins became enraged and began yelling and cursing at me and denying any part in it. He then verbally threatened me by saying, "You're about three seconds away from getting punched!" I have gotten body repair estimates on this damage totaling nearly $2000.00 to repair it back to it's original condition. This complaint and all photos have been submitted to the BBB and Secretary of State. Both agencies have made numerous attempts to address and clear up the issue but were unable to get any response from the company owner.
Description of Work: On Monday, April 18th, 2011, I took my vehicle into this business for a glass leak repair. The leak appeared to be from the rear glass seal and owner told me he repairs these all the time and they could do it in one day for $125 + tax.
