We had water damage to our roof and we got a few quotes to fix it. Other companies with young, inexperienced, sales representatives, told us we needed various add-ons, trying to get as much money from us as they could. Roger Trudeau was honest with us, telling us what needed to be replaced and what was still recoverable. I really appreciated that he did NOT try to upsell us, but just addressed our real problem to help keep the project affordable. The work looked great, and when we had questions or concerns he was always quick to listen and address our concerns. In the end, he was able to fix our roof for $14k, instead of the $30k that the young companies wanted. I would highly recommend Trudeau's Northwest Roofing and Construction.

The company came recommended from family member. We interviewed the owner and he is personable as heck. He had issues with remembering who we were when we called, remembering what was in the bid, showing up on time. GLAD we signed a contract. Nearly a month later than he scheduled to do the job, his crew came, tore our roof off and found they were short on materials. The workmen (bosses day off) decided it was Friday and they could finish on Monday after the needed roofing materials were bought. Big rain storm coming the next day so my husband said no way, get the rest of the shingles and get finished. The boss called and said hey, you're not going to make me pay for those extra shingles are you? We have a signed contract, with his estimate of labor and materials....mmm..... The roof is on, the owner is having a beer with my husband hashing out the residuals. We agreed to pay for the labor and materials to have the holes repaired in the roof which were unexpected but my husband who is as fair as they come (and a retired journeyman contractor) said, we signed a contract with you for X amount, that is what I am going to pay you plus time and materials for the repairs to the holes in the roof. The owner took the check that said "paid in full" and after a week, cashed it. Yesterday we received notice from the lumber yard that they wanted paid. Apparently the owner hasn't paid them for materials. We learned yesterday there is a law in WA State where vendors can place contractor liens on property for unpaid materials. This will be resolved, but lesson to all who are having work done, when you pay your contractor, also sign a form releasing you from all lien responsibilities (saw some templates on Internet). AND don't use this company. As nice as the guy is, he is running a hot mess of a company. He is licensed and bonded, but he has other issues keeping him from being maybe the company he once was.
Description of Work: Tore off old roof, removed chimney, repaired holes in roof, replaced it with new shingles, vents, flashing
