jackie sent her son over to look at it. he snapped some pictures and that's the last we heard from them i have followed up several times via email, but got silence. sounds like they no longer want to make things right. in my opinion, they should have prevented this color mismatch by more carefully proportioning their grout coloring mixture. now, we have uneven color. as a mason, this should be one of your top priorities for an interior project where something will be looked at, up close, daily. furthermore, you should also be able to figure out how to restain the grout using a dye after you screw up in order to at least save face. lastly, and most of all, you should probably respond to your paying customer instead of blowing them off. very disappointed. i thought we had worked with a respectable group, but i guess not.

The entire team from SJ Construction Masonry was exceptional! From the initial consultation to the implementation, the team was very friendly, professional and did a perfect job. Could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend.

SJ Construction did a great job on my fireplace. Aside from a minor hiccup with scheduling (which they resolved quickly), everything went great and I'm ecstatic about the results. Scott & Derek were extremely responsive and worked with me through the whole process, asking questions, giving advice, and making sure that the final product was exactly what I had envisioned. I would highly recommend SJ Construction & Masonry.

(continued from above): We had an idea of what we wanted based on pics we found. We then basically told Jackie and Scott to built it using our selected stone type. It took about 2.5 days and the final product was stellar. We are very happy with the product and the price and would use them again in the future. Scott and his crew were punctual and worked continuously until the job was done (about 1 week). The planned to finish on a Saturday, but the weather was so bad (heavy rain) that they asked to finish on the following day. They showed up at the appointed time on Sunday and finished the chimney repair. The crew was professional and knew what they were doing. They had all the proper tools, including scaffolding that was needed to access a portion of the chimney. We are very pleased with their work and would hire SJ again.

He took off the top of the chimney to put rebar between the lining and the outside brick and put concrete down in between. He was unable to get down all the way, as he had planned, so he had to go around to the attic to reinforce the chimney that way.
