It did not go well. The footprint for the foundation did not meet required set backs and had to be relocated, at considerable cost, we believe this could have been prevented. When the foundation was poured, we found that the top of the foundation walls were not even and required considerable shimming in order for the floor to be level. When he constructed the house, the walls were not plumb, posts were not level and the beams were not placed as they should. He also pierced one of the shear walls with forks of a forklift. We hired an independent engineer to conduct a structural inspection which outlined numerous problems. In addition, Charlie and his crew would work for a few days, then disappear for a week or two. His crew often did not seem to have a clue about how to build a house. Safety was also a concern. In the end, we had to terminate his agreement.
Description of Work: We hired Charlie Dore, 2nd Home Services, to excavate an old foundation, pour a new foundation and build our new pre-engineered home.
