ROB'S SPRINKLER SVC & INSTLLTN

Rob and his team exceeded my expectations. They were careful not to damage my existing landscaping or lawn during the Instilation. They worked quickly and cleaned up each night before leaving. No open trenches. My yard looks beautiful, no more lugging the hose around.

I spoke briefly with, I believe it was Rob, on the phone. He was installing a system and I had called a cell phone number that was provided. My system had developed a leak before the shut off valve and therefore could not be cut off unless I turned off the water at the meter. That was not going to work for me so I had an emergency that needed to be addressed as quickly as possible. I explained this to him as briefly as possible because I could tell he was in the middle of working on a system and it was probably not the best time to discuss my problem in depth. He said he would get back with me when he was available and to please shoot him my address and contact info in a text to the number I had called, being it was his cell ph. I never heard back.

Three gentlemen showed up. They were immediately at work, even before a complete discussion over what was to be done--they could see what needed to be done, and they got to it. I showed them where the timer was in the garage and left them to their work. The job was done very quickly, and the price was extremely reasonable. They even found another problem while they were working on the project and repaired it for me at no additional cost.

Based on another contractor's recommendation and their reviews on Angie's List I wanted to use them, but for some reason I couldn't connect. I sent them a message on Angie's List 3 months ago, then left them a message on their own web page, then on their answering machine. I never received any reply. If they are so busy they can't answer their messages then I don't know why they waste their money advertising in the Angie's List magazine.

Called to get them out for a service. Never returned the call. Move onto the next....

I have a 25 year old auto sprinkler system that is largely original. One of the six solenoid zone valves would not shut off at the end of its cycle. I took the valve apart and found that the rubber diaphragm had a hole in it, which I replaced. It didn't correct the problem, so I then replaced the solenoid valve, with no effect. By then, another valve would not shut. I decided to call someone who knew what they were doing and called Rob's. When the techs arrived I said that with the age of the system and the increase in valve failures, I thought that replacing all the valves might be the best way to go. Instead, the tech showed me an adjustment, that I was unaware of, to restore the solenoid valve's operation. Replacing the valves wasn't necessary. Rob's tech could have just booked the replacement work as that's what I was expecting. Instead, he did the right thing and made the adjustment corrections, which took just a few minutes. He used the remainder of their minimum call out time to cycle through all the zones and adjust or replace the heads. Rob's is definitely the only card in my Rolodex under sprinkler companies. Great job!

We have been very pleased with his services. Rob has been back out several times. He is very responsive and great at what he does. I love that he is a local company. He is a great persona and very knowledgeable. He is very reasonably priced and does great work. It is very easy to get him scheduled out.

We have a sprinkler that is probably over 25 years old that came with the house. A few of the heads were broken off and others did not work properly. We did not want our lawn dug up and a whole new system put in, which he stated was not recommended. After we accepted his bid, he did the work of replacing the existing sprinkler heads with new ones within a couple of days. He programmed the sprinkler and it works beautifully. Was very happy with the quick, professional service.

I have used this company at least 2 times before and have been very pleased. I called recently and left 2 messages. I have yet to receive the courtesy of a reply. Very perplexing because I identified myself as a previous customer. I have just read the last review and am troubled that Rob has not shown the proper courtesy and professionalism to a client. His excuse that he was on a big job and didn't think that he could get to it quickly is poor and inexcusable. A professional should return calls and inform the client so that he or she can move on or decide to wait. I surmise that is also why he hasn't return my call. I have a need for repairs and while I await a prompt return call, my plants suffer. Now I have to move on. A shame, a real shame because this vendor has shot himself in the foot with his lack of responsiveness and professionalism.

Rob was originally referred through our neighbor who worked in the landscaping business and said he was the best. We needed additional areas in our yard (garden and flower beds) that needed water. He had excellent suggestions on how best to configure the sprinkler heads for coverage. He also installed a frost-free hydrant in our lower yard and repaired numerous sprinkler heads that had broken over the years. He redesigned some of our watering zones that make much more sense than originally installed. Rob was fantastic. He was punctual, friendly, easy to work with, thorough in his work, and provided quality work. His years of experience really shows. We have used him again since then and will in the future.
