Description of Work: They were fabulous. D arrows made sure to do the measuring around my schedule and the same with the installation. The results were better than I imaged. I totally would recommend them to anyone and everyone. What a difference the way my house looks!

They were fantastic- from the first time I called, to every time I went into the showroom. They had awesome suggestions on the installation, they were always punctual, and did everything they said they would do. I am very pleased with the flooring that was replaced. They were a bit more expensive than other places, but I got top-of-the-line quality. They even put my washer and dryer back in for me and repaired the floor around my shower.
Description of Work: They took out old, damaged tile, replaced carpet in two rooms, and replaced linoleum in two rooms.

It went great. We were unable to be at our home and after talking with a couple of people from the company, we felt comfortable dropping off a key. They were in no hurry to have us mail a check and recommended we drop off our payment when we were back in town and picking up our key. We paid them, picked up our key and arrived home to find the carpet and pad both well stretched and looking great. We really appreciate their services and their trust. Nice people. We will definitely contact them for flooring help in another room of our home that needs some creative trouble shooting.

They were very good to work with but I ended up going with a different company. They were very quick to come out. They were very helpful with design. They were superbly professional.

They were on time and did a beautiful job on the installation. We are very satisfied.
Description of Work: Helped choose vinyl for kitchen & bath and went overboard on helping find the right shade of color to match our carpet. The carpet was over $800.00 more than Costco so we just bought the vinyl.

Most Customers do not realize that there are literally thousands of different carpets, different grades, different pads, etc. and all of them are different prices. It is VERY important to compare apples to apples. Meaning the same EXACT carpet, pad, etc. $800 is a large difference which sounds like it was a lower grade of carpet or a 6# pad instead of an 8# pad, which is what we use. Also, we do quality installations and are not subcontracting our work out. It is our family coming into your family's home to install the products. We also try to match or beat any bid if given the opportunity. Our large line of products helps us meet any customers budget.

I did not have a good relationship with them. I had to return the product to them and demand my money back. The product was inferior and would break before you could get it down. The woman there was rude and cross. It was a very bad experience. I would not recommend them or use them ever again. We called them and asked them to take a look at the product because it was breaking they said it was because we did not know what we were doing. We then took the product back to them and demanded our money back. They refused to give us our money back because some of the boxes were open. They were rude and impolite. They were not helpful in anyway. I was able to contact my bank and get my money back.

Response from Darrow's Carpets Plus ColorTile
This transaction was unfortunately, very dissapointing on both ends. This particular product was ordered on January 14th, 2011 and the installer (not from our Company) started installing it on February 10th 2011, nearly a month after purchase. Unfortunately, the wrong tools and improper laying of the product were partially to blame for the breaking of the planks. ALL Laminates, hardwoods, etc., may have damaged boards upon receipt. These products are shipped and travel MANY miles by truck, train and ship. Our Company had two representatives, one an installer of 14 years, drive to the job site the very day that we were called and told there was an issue with the product. Our Installer simply tried to explain what was being done wrong and how to do it correctly. He even put a few boards together right in front of the Customer and they went together nicely. We were just trying to help. That is, after all, why the Customer called us to the job site. The Gentleman who was installing seemed to take it personally and did not want to listen to any of our Installer's suggestions. We agreed to take back the product that had not already been cut and laid. We simply asked that the credit card that the product was purchased on be brought back in so that we could credit the account. There are procedures we must go through in order to credit an account. Instead of returning with the card the customer returned with two gentlemen who literally threw the laminate out of their trucks and up against our brick building, which made it very hard for us to determine what was previously damaged. The only reason we knew that they were returning it was because we could hear the product hitting the building as they were throwing it out of the truck. We do not conduct business in this way and we are not in any way uncaring towards our Customers. Darrow's Carpets has been in Business for 18 years and we are known for our quality installation and customer service. We tried numerous times to appease this customer and have pages of correspondence to prove it. All of our efforts were in vain. We are disappointed that the customer felt that we were rude in the way we handled the transaction. However, we feel that the correspondence from the member, which included threats of slander, inaccurate information and assumptions, and the manner that the product was returned was both unnecessary and impolite. We tried our very best and that is all we could do.

The job was completed in less than two days. The three men installing the oak flooring came early and worked hard all day. As far as I could tell only short lunch breaks were taken. The quality of work was excellent. When finished all construction debris was removed. We were very, very happy with how it looked. We will definitely use Darrow's again when we need any additional flooring installed
