Tore everything out at the beginning of the project and left hot wires exposed in all living areas for months on end. Seemed knowledgeable and friendly initially but part way through the project was screaming on the phone at others and cussing at my project as well as others. He did very little right the first time and had an awful lot of rework and still has over a page of stuff left to do that he never did or that he broke or didn't do correctly. He repeatedly connected the electric stove to the microwave (both are to be on their own circuits) and shorted those together with almost all the outlets and all the lights both inside and outside on the living level. Every time he came he moved around what was associated with which breaker and never documented any of them other than one generically. He didn't do things to code - for example mixed things together on the same circuit that were to be on dedicated circuits, didn't put in GFCI outlets when receptacles were near water, didn't put covers on lights in closets, removed arc fault breaker needed for fireplace, etc. He left conditions in a fire hazard state - and then didn't connect the smoke alarms for weeks on end and when he did connect them didn't do it such that they appropriately alarmed simultaneously. He left things in a state where the homeowner would get shocked when touching a light switch or a whole floor of lights and outlets would get tripped off by simply plugging a fan in when nothing else was turned on or plugged in on the circuit. Knowing that things were to be on dedicated circuits, he wouldn't run the cables for them prior to having sheetrock installed, texturing done and walls painted, and then he would tear out almost as much of the wall as was just fixed trying to remedy what he didn't do right the first time. He put smoke alarms touching the walls, and when he moved them out, he left junction boxes and blatant covers showing rather than running a cable long enough such that the hole could be covered over with plaster rather than having to have a plate on it. He didn't get a permit covering everything to be done (left out three of my four floors...) so that inspector wouldn't hold him accountable for those floors. Never remedied failures of an electrical inspection within the time frame specified by city - always days to weeks longer. Cut holes all over the place including in the middle of shelves and fractured boards that he drilled through so badly that they had to be patched with metal plates. Didn't install what he was supposed to - uninstalled existing high functional switches and swapped them out for standard switches rather than replacing them with an equivalent switch of the desired color. Said he swapped out heaters but simply put a new front plate on them. Committed to doing work like doing the electrical for my fireplace and then refused to do it. Screwed globes on so tightly that they can't be taken off to replace bulbs. Refused to provide an itemized invoice, only a summary one. Demanded full payment partway through job and when I refused because he wasn't completing the work much less correctly, he threatened to take a lien out on my home and may still do that two days from now. Refuses to mediate, return calls or texts, walks away when talked to, hangs up on you when you call. Bottom line, awful job. Awful contractor. Don't use.
Description of Work: Do NOT use this contractor. He does an extremely poor job leaving conditions unsafe for very long periods of time (months!) He doesn't do things to code and gets angry at the customer when they ask for it to be done to code. Doesn't show up half the time. When he does show up, it's so long in between visits he forgets what he's doing and doesn't bring provided documentation to refresh his memory and refuses to receive input from the customer to bring him back up to speed. Breaks more than he fixes. Refuses to mediate. Threatens to take liens out against the owner's home saying owner hasn't paid but he won't provide itemized invoices even when repeatedly requested. Stay away from this business.

They're good. They're a little slow at responding. They're just two brothers, and sometimes, they just don't have time. But they're pretty good about letting you know about what the time frame is going to be. They do a good job. I respect that, that they're upfront about what they can do and when they can do it. They're very good about that and their work is very good. They'll let you know if they're behind and when they'll get there. With contractors, that's a very big deal. Everything about them is all very good. Their prices are in line what you would expect to pay for electrical. They weren't overpriced. I highly recommend them.

Jacob and his coworker came in and went straight to work. Very friendly and worked hard to do the work the way I wanted it to look and function. They actually added a switch and outlet we had not discussed earlier at no extra cost, it just made things more efficient in the functionality of my project. I will definitely will be referring them and calling them in the future.
Description of Work: Jacob and his coworker added a motion light, photocell, and separated the porch lights from the light by the garage door.

It went great. They finished in under an hour and the lights look great. Though I have only used Clark's for smaller jobs, they do larger jobs as well and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for a bigger project.
Description of Work: This is the 2nd time I have used Clark's Electric. The 1st job was earlier this year when they ran power to my chimney for a gas insert that was being installed. This time, they hung a few pendant lights for me in my kitchen. Both jobs went very well. On both, they were able to respond very quickly (within a week or so) and, since they were small jobs, stopped by my house near Green Lake early in the morning on their way to other jobs in the Seattle area. Jacob takes pride in his work and fudged with the pendants to make sure they were all level with each other. He also installed them in a manner which would allow me to change the heights later, if I wanted.

Jacob arrived on time, provided an accurate estimate and did the work quickly and efficiently. He was very careful to avoid damaging anything or leaving a a mess behind. This is the third time we've used Clark Electric and we will certainly do so again in the future.
Description of Work: We had an entryway light fixture replaced, a motion detector floodlight replaced on the back of the house and a new electrical outlet installed in the hallway of our home. I already had the light fixture and the new floodlight. Clark provided the outlet materials.

He showed up on time with several different lights so I could see what would work best. He took his time to make sure everything was perfectly line up. Did a great job. Was done installing 6 lights in 3 hours.
Description of Work: Had recess lights installed in my Kitchen. Jacob did a wonderful job plus gave me choices to make it look great. Would hire him again for all of electrical work.

Jacob is great and we will definitely use Clark's Electric again. We were having some work done and needed some electrical moved. We had a switch that we didn't know which light it went to and he found the light and fixed the circuit in about 20 minutes. Very nice and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Moved some light switches and outlets and troubleshot a recessed cannister.
