Last year I first signed up for window cleaning service with this company, after first service I found their service was very unprofessional and poor quality so I informed them I do not wish to continue with their service in the future. Few months later, a man came uninvited to clean our windows, my wife sent him away without having him finished the job. I called the company, they said I already signed the contract for another service, so I reluctantly paid for the second unfinished service and thought I was done with them. Last week, they called me again and wanted to schedule for window cleaning, I refused and told them I have already done with their so-called contract last year Today, 5/13/2019, I received a letter from the company demands for $500 cancelation fee for BREACH OF CONTRACT, they also attached a contract that I signed ( I really doubt that is legitimate) , or have them come in again. It is like repeat of what happen last year, I never thought window cleaning could be a life long like contract (beyond one year) with such small illegible print to mislead customer. I did a little bit of search on internet on this company, and found that I was not the only victim from this company, they had history of ripping customers off like this for BREACH OF CONTRACT, harass and intimidate customer for outrageous fee and poor service, and demand for cancellation fee, otherwise will threaten to sue them in small court. I only wish they will stop harass us with letter and threatening of lawsuit or creditor in the future after I reported the situation to BBB and Attorney General Office. Other consumers can be aware their tactic. Sincerely hope they will stop practicing this tactic and be a true and honest service company.

I hired World Wide Window in 2002. I signed the service contract and they washed my windows. The work was fine. I tried to cancel the service contract in 2006 and learned they have a punitive side. Instead of canceling, they threatened to sue me for over $3,000. It was shocking. They claimed I did not properly follow the cancelation policy in the CONTRACT. They felt justified to rack up charges of that magnitude. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a demanding life situation involving litigation. I acquiesced, meaning I accepted the offer from World Wide to allow them 3 or 4 additional appointments to wash my windows in exchange for them dropping their threat. Bizarre. I went to the Better Business Bureau, and was informed they can not and do not get involved in CONTRACT issues. When I canceled for the second time in 2010, I met with the same punitive resistance. This time, the Better Business Bureau was VERY concerned, but still unable to address CONTRACT issues. World Wide WIndow then filed a law suit against me for BREACH OF CONTRACT and demanded over $800. In Spokane, the courts sends complaints/lawsuits like this to mediation. At mediation it became clear this company has issues. They were most concerned about having my ANGIES LIST REVIEW taken down. I took down my review. Now the paperwork is signed, three months have gone by and I am free to review this company. I feel the $320 fee I paid to small claims court is WORTH the freedom to share this information with the public.
Description of Work: DON'T ever use this company. If you have used them in the past, BEWARE. If you are getting an estimate from them, NEVER sign the service contract they demand. They are capable of performing window washing. I had used this company for years, and compared to my new window washers, WORLD WIDE WINDOW does an okay job. The problem is, they wash windows as a SIDE job; the real job of this company is to stalk or harass former customers who want OUT of the CONTRACT. That is when you learn of the main purpose of this company. In the fine print of their unneccary service contract, you CAN'T get out. After refusing to accept my letter of cancelation last year, this company threatened to sue me for fees and penalties. I had to pay them $320 to get out.

This client was given a bid and the bid gave her the option of being done on a will-call format or a maintenance account. She picked setting up on a maintenance account. She could of canceled her account any time she wanted per the terms of giving us a 30 day written notice and she did not do that. We gave her the option of being done 3 more times instead of just billing her for the 2 skips and the refused service-call. She refused. We mediated the small claims court case and she signed a settlement agreement which she also breached. She breached agreement once before years ago and asked us to take her back. We did and she did the same thing again. She filed a complaint with the BBB and the AG and they both took our side. She does not want to honor her agreements with anyone.

On 11/4/11 their service man when he came to wash the windows, he washed only windows that could be seen. When I complained about the other windows, they sent out another service person. This person complained about grates on the windows. When I wanted to cancel the service, the manager told me that I had to accept their service or they would charge me for past service that I had canceled because of the weather. If I did not pay them for this past nonaccepted service, they would sue us in small claims court. The contract that I had been pressured to sign when I first accepted service was in very small illegible print. I did not think that this contract to wash my windows was a life long contract.

The member called us on 10-14-2008 and requested a bid. She was given a bid on 10-21-2008. The bid sheet gave her the option of being done 1-Time/Will-Call or being set up on a maintenance plan. She picked a twice a year plan. Se shigned a contract on 11-05-2008 for that service. She was also sent a Welcome Letter on 11-25-2008 that explains again in detial how we operate and how to avoid future problems. This is on top of the Bid Brochure she was given. The contract states that we may bill the customer for the service-call if the customer skips a service-call or backs out of a scheduled service-call after 72 hours of being booked. We book 2-3 weeks in advance. The member had a ongoing pattern of skips and backing out of service-calls on the eve of the service-call. If the member was unhappy with the quality of the last service-call and then the call-back service-call, she could have have simply sent in her written notice of cancellation and she would never of been called on 02-15-2012 to try and book her 03-2012 service-call. We sent her a letter on 02-17-2012 giving the option of being serviced in 03-2012 and then 4 more times to cover the skipped service-calls and she refused the offer. The member filed a compliant with the BBB and the BBB sided with us because she breached her contract and we are not a member of the BBB. The member has now joined Angies List because she refused to honor her agreement. The member requested out only service-calls. It has been our experience over the past 29 years that 99% of the time when a customer compians about the glass it is either on the inside, the seals have failed or there is hard water stain on the glass. None of that is what she wanted us to address. The member had a poor track record with all her skips and last minute back-outs. It is alwasy very easy to try and swich the blame and try to say we provided poor service when the fact is she has a very poor track record and is trying to breach her contract.

Their price is really good. I have a two-story home with a lot of windows. They come in on time and do the work. The windows always look really good. I think I'm getting a great service for the dollar amount. I have no complaints.

I have used this service repeatedly for about 4 years. I have had a regular repeat seviceman as well as new people from time to time. They call a week ahead of time to confirm the appointment, and to arrange a time that works for both of us. They are always on time, and very professional. I have a 2 story house with 14 upstairs windows, and 16 downstairs windows. They are finished in about 1 and 1/2 hours and leave everything sparkling. There is an extra charge for screen cleaning, which I do about once a year, in the summer. They have never disappointed and if I have to rescheule they are very accomodating. Highly recommended service providers with friendly and helpful staff.
Description of Work: I contracted for window cleaning about 4 years ago. I set up a cleaning schedule based on what they had available. I am very pleased with the overall experience, and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for prompt professional service.
