Response from TIN ROOF
(Member name removed) - As discussed during our conversation regarding this matter last year when you brought it to my attention, you are satisfied with the products you purchased through The Tin Roof (your furniture). Our Interior Designer Molly came to work with you through The Tin Roof because you had severed your relationship with the previous Interior Designer you were working with who had purchased products at The Tin Roof. Molly assisted you with furnishing your kitchen nook space and your living room. As it happens, Molly also owns a tile showroom in Idaho and assisted you with the selection of tile for the guest bathroom. She also suggested several contractors for your consideration. The work you are "reviewing" is that of a tile installer who performed work in your guest bathroom - Brandon Bowman, who does not, nor has he ever, been a contractor or an employee of The Tin Roof. He was one of several options for contractors that Molly suggested and that you interviewed in your home and signed his contract for the work performed at your home. As I understand it, he also attempted to contact you on several occasions to resolve these issues with no response? (But I can not speak for him) As I suggested before, I would contact The Better Business Bureau and see if they can assist you with a resolution regarding your tile and the tile installer in your guest bathroom. I even called them to make sure they would be able to assist you with your dispute and gave you all the contact information you needed to move forward and resolve your issue with the tile installer. The Better Business Bureau will assert that your dispute is with the Tile Installer, whom you have a signed contract with, not The Tin Roof (a furniture store). Your contract for the tile work was with Brandon, not The Tin Roof. The services performed that are in question are that of the Tile Contractor, not The Tin Roof. The payment for the tile and the services went to the Tile Contractor, not The Tin Roof. I fail to understand why you feel The Tin Roof (a furniture store) is responsible for work you interviewed for, contracted with and was performed and paid to another business? If you have any questions or problems with the furnishings you purchased through The Tin Roof through your first designer (an independent designer) or your second designer (Molly Hustoft) please let me know. As far as your displeasure with the tile in your guest bathroom I implore you to please contact (and review) the tile contractor and work with The Better Business Bureau to resolve your dispute regarding Brandon Bowman. I am sorry you are displeased with the work of the Tile Contractor you hired and signed a contract with and understand your frustration. I was not present during your interviews of these contractors, but you did hire Brandon and signed his contractor for the work performed in your guest bathroom. The Tin Roof did not hire or employ the contractor Brandon Bowman - please seek resolution regarding your tile situation with the Tile Contractor.
