Purchased bamboo flooring form a retailer that goes through T&A Supply Company for one of the brands of bamboo flooring they carry and I purchased. The floor is a floating floor, but no pad was needed because the planks had a backing glued onto them. After the floor was laid it was shocking to see in certain light that glue had seeped from the backing onto every plank in each box. Depending on the light, it jumps out at you and looks so tacky and cheap. I took a board back to the retailer who went to T&A Supply Company. I got the run-a-round for a couple months since T&A Supply wasn't going to respond. FINALLY, after numerous calls to the retailer they got T&A to go to their manufacturer. When they responded, after a lengthy wait, then T&A forwarded the response to the retailer. They both put the blame on the installer in spite of the fact that they have no contract with said installer who, by the way, was asked to rush as I had a tight timeline between moving out of a home and into this one. Additionally, The guarantee straight from the manufacturer states 'strict inspection procedures' and 'guarantee of high product quality'. Guess the inspection team was out to lunch cause this 'ain't' no high quality product!!!! This supply company and the manufacturer display a profound lack of integrity/professionalism by declining to stand behind the bamboo flooring. It has been a source of stress and duress to deal with. Now, the retailer, who holds no blame, is trying to make it right by coming to my home to clean the glue from approximately 900 square feet of flooring!! I appreciate their integrity and professionalism, however...goo gone must be used (smell is sickening), all my furniture/rugs and such must be moved. What a nightmare...frankly, I am sick to my stomach. I would emphatically recommend finding any supply company other than T&A for your products if you are a retailer. If you are shopping for products as a retail customer, I would ask the retailer who the supplier is and refuse to purcase any product supplied by T&A as they lack the integrity to stand behind the products they carry. I will list the name of the manufacturer of the bamboo flooring along with a scathing report on a seperate report. In addition, I will list a good experience with the retailer who is trying to make this mess right.
Description of Work: T&A Supply Company supplied the bamboo flooring to the retailer from whom I purchased my flooring.
