Overall okay. Fit and finish were, in our opinion, poor. but "...to industry standards...". Baseboard trim was removed and reinstalled WITHOUT removing the old fasteners and some without removing the shims from the flooring installation. No back up device was used while removing the trim and thus drywall damage occurred. The response was quote "...that is industry standards and it would take too long and make more work in split or damaged moldings...". Another finish item was the door casings. They, although they said they did not cut any, used a rough or general cut blade instead of a finish cut blade and the casings are splintered where it tore instead of cut the wood. A couple have pieces that broke and were left dangling in place. They showed up on time each day, performed work almost as described, but just did not finish the job as expected and described on their advertisement!! All wood was cut indoors WITHOUT the use of a dust collection system of any sort. They used a broom and dust pan as their cleaning tools, did not read and follow manufacturers directions (provided and on site at time of estimate and during the job) and the house was never left in move in ready or "...takes care of any excess dirt and dust...". My wife and I spent at least 2 hours each night trying to make the house livable removing dust from the pantry, dishes in the cabinets. They "finished" on Wednesday and this is Sunday and we are still cleaning and will be for probably another week. At one point they laid sub floor and the flooring and did not cut out 3 registers. We left them a note about it and they cut them out and left most of the debris in the ducts and replaced the registers. The couch was left, with their okay, and they moved it to another room and stood it up on one arm and it stayed in that position for thew entire time. On the final day it was placed back in the main room in the normal position. I moved it onto its back to place felt pads on the feet and there was a thud inside. I then rotated it down and up again and the noise happened both moves. A little investigating found that the arm support on the side where it had stood was broken. It was not broken/made no noise prior, as it gets placed on its back every couple weeks to vacuum under. Their response was quote "... well one could come to the conclusion that we broke it but prove it..." They were supposed to return for a final day and maybe clean up, but after what we say we did not allow them back in the house without us there to discuss these issues. Some I quoted them as to their responses above, while others were plain ignored. They offered to fix the trim, but what were they paid for in the first place and how were they going to fix it? Did they mean that they did a mediocre job and hoped it would be good enough not to get called on it? Could they have done better, if so why did they not do so in the first place? There was flat out no offer to do anything about the couch and it seemed to us like they thought were we lying and were offended.
