About us

J-D Strong Consulting opened its doors in 2003 providing business consulting services for the Apple Macintosh platform. We are members of the Apple Consultants Network, a network of over 1,000 Apple Mac focused consultants from across the United States and the world. In 2007 we added "Apple Authorized Reseller" to our repertoire, providing by-appointment Mac sales to our clients. In 2009, we expanded our by-appointment value-added Mac sales to include a consumer retail storefront. At Strong Solutions we can facilitate your AppleCare repair, repair your out-of-warranty machine with quality new parts, upgrade your memory, hard drive and more. All of our technicians are certified annually by Apple, and abide by the highest standard of quality and care for your machine. All of our repairs are performed in-house with a 3-5 day turn around. Parts are typically shipped to us next business day air. We stock memory and hard drives for same day upgrades. Strong Solutions also offers a variety of classes. Our classes are led by experts in the field and range on a variety of subjects. We also offer periodic seminars on new technologies, products and resources. We are proud to also host the "Macintosh Apple Club of Spokane (MACS)" who meet in our meeting and training space the third Tuesday of every month. Strong Solutions hosts the Photography Meetup Group the fourth Tuesday of every month. We also are proud to support and host the "East Spokane Business Association (ESBA)" who meet every Wednesday at Noon in our space.

I had dropped my iphone in water. It was still functioning but had some streaking on the screen. Went to Strong Solutions based on some good reviews I had read online. Dropped my phone off and was told it would be $50 just to look at it, and there were no guarantees if they could fix it or not. I decided to take the chance. I expected a call from them letting me know my phone was ready to be picked up the next day, but they did not call. I had to call them and get the status. When I picked it up, there was still streaking on the screen and they told me for another $100 they could replace the screen but still - no guarantees if it would work. I left and took my phone to another cell phone repair center nearby and the entire phone was fixed perfectly for $30 total. I got the impression from the person I talked to at Strong Solutions that thye did not specialize in cell phone repair, and werent that interested in working on it in the first place.

They were professional and helpful. Gale very helpfully emailed me a document he recovered that I urgently needed before I even paid for anything. I eventually decided not to repair the computer and purchase a new one. Gale was able to transfer all the data from my dead computer to my new computer that I am purchasing from them. Gale is going to transfer the data on short notice and with a good attitude. I am very pleased with their customer service and helpfullness over all.
Description of Work: I took my computer in because it was broken and I needed data recovery. They gave a good and detailed estimate on the repair costs and told me right away what was wrong with it even though a different company took over month to not correctly diagnose or fix the problem. They communicated with me clearly what my options were.

The experience was great. It is hard to find people who know Macs. The staff spent a generous amount of their time discussing my problem and what new equipment had to offer. While I was there an acquaintance was there and said that he had been using Strong Solutions and was very please with service, sales, and classes. Because my equipment is older than three years I will be replacing it in the near future and I will be going back to Strong Solutions for my purchase.
Description of Work: I was having difficulty making a wireless connection with my Mac laptop and assumed that the wireless card was at fault. The staff booted up the computer in the shop and did a few simple tests. He said that he felt the problem was a software issue related to a recent update of the operating system. He made suggestions about how to fix the problem at home. As it turns out the recommendations fixed the problem. No cost.
