I have no idea if this company is good or bad. They state on their site that they service essentially a 200mi radius around Spokane, but when I tried to get them to come out, Latah (approx 36mi away) I was told that they couldn't come out due to not having a permit to work in Latah, and then when asked what that meant precisely, the receptionist stated she didn't know, but it was too far away. When questioned how it was too far, she said she didn't know again. While I'm sure this company does good work, they perhaps need to fix their work radius on their site or educate their receptionist a bit more. Felt exceedingly unprofessional. I gave a rating of C as it's neither bad nor good. Alas, my roofing search continues...

They wanted the business and beat a competitor's bid. They came with samples and helped us make a decision on the color, etc. They were delightful to work with, all of them. My husband worked with one of the owners and was very happy with him. Our next door neighbors used another company that I've seen around and I am delighted to say the difference is notable. Spokane Roofing has a very tight fit, which are not the correct terms, but you can see how impeccable the job is. I'm happy to see my neighbor across the street took our advice and had work done by Spokane Roofing as well. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere.

They returned calls promptly. They showed up and on time for all mtgs. Gave a fair estimate, wk done quickly, efficiently. I have used them before and have always been happy w/ their personal & professional work.

Spokane Roofing was quick to do the estimate and very timely on the re-roof. They told us it would take 3 days. The job was done in 2.5 days and looked awesome. The additional work for hte patch in 2014 looked like it was done when the rood was done. Great job!

I appreciated that Spokane Roofing returned my phone call the same day, and was able to fix our roof within a couple of days. I also appreciate that the young man who came out to do the repair was very professional and seems to have done a good job. Unfortunately when it comes time to replace our 20 year old cedar shake roof, Spokane Roofing Company will not be one of the companies that I will call. The cost for the repair seems high for what was done. I was quoted a price range over the phone without anyone looking at the roof and since I had not gone up on the roof to actually see the damage I had no idea what would be involved and thought that the price would be adjusted based upon what had to be done. It appears that the damage was not as bad as it could have been and only 7 Ridge pieces had to be replace and the amount of time involved was around an hour. At these prices, $650.00 + tax, I can only imagine what a new roof would cost from Spokane Roofing Company. So because of that we will not be doing business with them in the future. Update 09/05/14 "A minimum charge repair for any shake roof is $425.00 plus the tax, which is obviously less then you were charged" I was charged 650.00 + tax which I believe is more not less. "Also, if we don't know there is a problem, we can't fix it" Along with check to pay the invoice I sent your office manager a letter that said basically what I have have posted here.

Obtaining the estimate was easy, and Jeff Sitton was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The workers were topnotch, took pride in their work, and were friendly and courteous. Once work started, it proceeded at a steady pace. Old rain gutters needed to be removed, and we were pleased Spokane Roofing hauled those off. New roof looks great.

The gentlemen gave me bad info on the phone, I felt like he was trying to blow me off. He told me without even coming out that my roof would need to be replaced which was incorrect.

We would recommend this company again without reservation.

From removal of old roof to installation of a new gutter run accidentally damaged during roof install, I found the people I worked with to be both very professional and proficient with the work they completed. I was very impressed when the foreman on the job made if visible right away that their truck had accidentally contacted and damaged a long gutter run and that they would take responsibility to replace. The actual work to replace the gutter was done in short order after completion of the roof install. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the new roof and would recommend Spokane Roofing to any of our friends who may be looking at a new roof for their home!

They are doing a great job with the actual work but the project management could be better. I live in an urban setting so my neighbors are less than four feet away, but they are doing a lot of really good stuff that they don’t damage the neighbor’s home and the work space gets cleaned meticulously. From what I can tell, they are really fast and efficient. I would recommend them. They’ve been around for a long time and the longevity of their business is one of the reasons I chose them. Also, they have been responsive to my inquiries, the bid was very detailed, and they gave me a great price. They dropped the ball in terms of preparing me for what the work would entail. I didn't prepare me neighbors and I should have but I wasn't aware that would be an issue.

The person living in the house said I didn't need any tear off so we wanted to get a different estimate without the tear off because it was quite a few thousand dollars. There were not that many layers of shingles on the roof. When I got back to them to ask where the other estimate was, I just got an email stating that their season is over. The guy was Johnny-on-the-spot when I first called them and got me an estimate pretty quickly. The redo didn't happen so I will probably give them a call in the spring. I'm not sure why he didn't notice that there were not that many layers. The ball was dropped and I may have dropped it too. They sent the first estimate very promptly but I didn't get it until I got on the computer. I never got a second estimate. They were pretty professional and the guy had given me his cell phone number.

They seemed to be thorough. They came back with a comprehensive estimate. They were punctual.

The quotes they gave me for reroofing my house with four different types of shingles were as follows (not including tax and permit): IKO Lifetime (labor & materials) - $17,980 GAF/ELK Timberline (labor & materials) - $17,980 CertainTeed Presidential (labor & materials) - $29,180 GAF/ELK Grand Canyon (labor & materials) - $34,680 These quotes seemed extremely high compared to other quotes I had gotten for similar materials, so I asked them to provide me with a quote of what they were charging just for the roofing material. At first they refused. In an email the owner said, "We don't break down bid because it gets compicated and we only sell our roof services as a 1 shot deal.. Anything else let me know." However, after asking him again for a price breakdown, he relented and gave me the following quotes for the shingle materials only: IKO Lifetime (shingles only) - $8,500 GAF/ELK Timberline (shingles only) - $8,500 CertainTeed Presidential (shingles only) - $19,700 GAF/ELK Grand Canyon (shingles only) - $25,200 The prices for these shingles are extremely high compared to market averages. My roof requires about 36 squares of shingles, where a square is defined as 100 square feet. Consumer Reports online provides the approximate retail price per square for various shingles, including the first three in the above quote. Based on these numbers, it appears that reasonable prices for these materials would be as follows: IKO Lifetime (shingles only) - $106/sq x 36 sq = $3,816 GAF/ELK Timberline (shingles only) - $93/sq x 36 sq = $3348 CertainTeed Presidential (shingles only) - $213/sq x 36 sq = $7668 The materials quotes for these shingles from Spokane Roofing are over twice the above prices. Consumer Reports didn't discuss GAF/ELK Grand Canyon shingles, but I got a materials-only quote from another contractor for this shingle of $8500, which is a factor of three cheaper than the quote from Spokane Roofing. Update (9/1/2011): As another data point, I decided to look up the price per square for GAF/ELK Grand Canyon shingles on ReeseWholesale.com. Their price for this shingle is $238.32/sq (including delivery) for quantities between 20 and 59 squares. For my roof, the total cost works out to $238.32/sq x 36 sq = $8579.52, which is very close to the quote of $8500 given to me by the other contractor. This provides further confirmation that the amount Spokane Roofing wanted to charge me ($25,200) was about 3 times the actual market value of this shingle.

They gave me an estimate, and the final price was exactly what they quoted me, which I liked. It did take them longer to get out and see me than I had expected, which I disliked. The communication was a little bit shaky at best. They did not keep me up-to-date as to when they were going to be coming out or doing the work. I can understand that skylight work is kind of low priority, especially if they have a big job ahead of them. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

We are so happy with Spokane Roofing and their overall staff. We had narrowed our choices between another vendor on Angie's list and Spokane Roofing who at that time had not been on Angie's list. They were referred to us by another very satisfied customer. From the onset, Jeff was determined to win our business. There were some very minor differences between the two bids and for the most part they were the same but the terminology was different so he was careful to address those differences for us. Jeff matched the warranty and beat the price. The team was very careful of our property and cleaned up on a daily basis. They were courteous, respectful and professional. They brought out samples to help us make the right decision and Jeff himself came by when the job was done to see the work and discuss the overall process. He was a joy to work with all along the way. Jeff's bid was very detailed and professionally done. There were several others who didn't provide that kind of breakdown and that just wasn't acceptable. Interestingly, a neighbor had their roof replaced the week before by another reputable company and the difference between these two jobs is significant. Spokane Roofing's work is "tight", with flat shingles and straight lines. We are very happy we chose this company. We've also have chosen them to replace all the skylights in our home which they will do in a few more weeks.

Spokane Roofing always treated me like I was their #1 customer even though they were very busy. The quote was detailed and communication was good. All questions were answered in a very timely manner. They arrived they day they planned and were always right on time. They worked a full day and seemed happy with their work. always courteous and respectful. Another contractor was working on the chimney and required some roof patching before Spokane Roofing was scheduled to start. Spokane Roofing came out that day and patched the roof to hold off until their scheduled start day (at no extra charge). I didn't have any issues and am very satisfied with their work.

Spokane Roofing Co was very responsive and professional from the day after I submitted an online estimate to receiving the estimate and scheduling and completing the work. Heather was very helpful and easy to contact via telephone and email. The job was completed in two days and we were AMAZED at how fast they worked and how little mess they made. The price was very good - it was actually a touch better than another estimate from another company who was proposing to ONLY lay new roof without taking the old material off.
