Description of Work: Flooring was not laid to our satisfaction, reordered it came in after a long wait with flaws again unacceptable, 3rd time installment still has a flaw but we didn't want to deal with it anymore so we are living with it. Management was not responsive or apologetic. Mike one of the owners actually hung up on my husband.

I can't imagine a worse experience. To start, while removing a layer of kitchen flooring, the vibration from the saw shattered my glass oven door. I was in the room while this happened and rendered all the workers and myself speechless. No one had ever had or seen this happen. I was very understanding and put all at ease in an awkward moment. No one asked me in an executive decision whether to add plywood and even out the transitions between rooms. They decided to leave some thresholds uneven. Next, while I was there to help in every way necessary, the carpet installers jammed my laundry room with furniture and as it wouldn't fit, they crunched and gouged the wood trim and frame of the doorway. This literally sickened me to hear and see this damage happening right in front of me. The carpet ended up being set throughout the house without being stretched or even tacked down. I wondered why it was heaving and rolling everywhere. When called out two different times to fix the problem, carpet one stretched a few places never acknowledging or mentioning the obvious fact that it hadn't been installed right, but instead telling me, " I probably got an inferior product from the factory that will need replacing". I had a sales manager come to the house and look at the damaged oven, woodwork, closet doors, bunching carpet, and uneven flooring. This was before learning how extensive the carpet issues were. A closet door off a living room to this day doesn't work. The extensive damage didn't impress him at all. Nor did he offer help in any way whatsoever. I had another company come and take a look. They fixed all the carpet and couldn't believe what they had found. They spent hours removing staples that had been shot through out the entire carpet. After they had correctly installed the carpet and made it look beautiful at a cost of 500 dollars, I finally felt some relief after a few years of sheer h***. I was denied any compensation for their malicious damage. I worked 12 hour night shifts and was told they had an oven door at one time, but since I didn't get back to them in time, it was my fault the door was sold to someone else. To my amazement, Jeffries appliance backed carpet one. To this day, I see red every time I see that little appliance truck. I took this complaint in person to the top manager at the time who literally seemed to enjoy telling me they would do nothing. There are many hard lessons I learned in my first remodel of this magnitude. However, I would say the biggest is never, never, one more time, NEVER pay the full amount before the work is done to your satisfaction.
Description of Work: Installed new carpeting throughout the entire house as well as tile and hardwood.
