Our yard is transformed! The new fence and deck look wonderful. The front porch floor on our 1923 home fits the historic look of the home and is much more structurally sound. Simon and his crew were very flexible with our wonky schedule and very accommodating to design changes on the fence. Simon worked with us to find just the right materials for the deck and porch so that they fit the style of our house. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product.

Simon and his crew were great to work with. He contacted us promptly when we put out our Angies List inquiry for a bid, and kept us in the loop continually during the project. His workers Chris and Tyler did a excellent job with the deck and were meticulous in their measurements, fit, and finish. Both the wife and I were really pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to hire them again.

We found this company excellent to work with , and we rate them over the top A+! The two people we worked with were company owner Simon, and His very talented partner and Assistant Heather. We contracted with them to do a remodel for our home, and from the very beginning they were prompt, professional, attentive to detail, and very knowledgeable and informed about the products and services we would need. Heather spent time with me to help interpret the style and preferences I liked, which made an excellent basis for selecting colors products, etc. We were out of town for this remodel, which made it extra important to have choices and decisions made early on. They spent time communicating with us as to careful details for the entire job. It was time well spent, as the finished project was exactly what we were hoping for, with wonderful details thrown in!! We could not have ask for better results. The careful attention to detail and high quality of work done is a reflection of pride and professionalism for this company. Two important things about this company that we were particular impressed with; 1) We were not here, and they did not hesitate to communicate with us and keep us informed as the work progressed. They sent us pictures on a regular basis. They always responded quickly to our calls or messages...A+ 2) Their goal for this project was to do what we wanted, to please us and make it the way we wanted..A+ The estimate they gave us was clear and concise, with the cost of the work we asked for itemized. In the end there were about 2 cost overruns from change orders and unexpected work. These were very reasonable and anticipated for this kind of project. We found the cost to be reasonable for the work they did for us. This company was very professional, attentive, and nice to work with and they did a great job for us. without doubt, they would be the people we would ask to do work for us again and we highly recommend them.

We were very pleased with the work of Simon and his team. The end result was better than we could have imagined! Simon was very responsive through the whole process. When there were questions, he was quick to respond or seek feedback. The crew that showed up to the house were professional, cleaning up after themselves every time. We would definitely have work done by SCS in the future!

We hired Simon after seeing the incredible work he did on a family member's deck. Not only did he give us our lowest bid, but his workers did an amazing job. We had a 30 year old 500+ square foot deck that needed to be completely torn down and replaced. They were able to start immediately and got the job done earlier than expected. Simon was always available for communication and stopped by often to check on the work. His workers were friendly and professional. I can't speak highly enough about this company. Work was performed professionally and exactly as requested. Our property and belongings were protected very well during the construction process, and the area was cleaned up very well after completed. The price was fair and the work was completed quickly.

Simon and Eric did a wonderful job doing a complete gut job on our master bathroom remodel. This included moving walls, putting new larger windows in, and moving plumbing/electrical. They both were incredibly pleasant to work with and extremely knowledgeable. We bought a custom bathtub and sinks that ended up not having standard fittings, and they still managed to seamlessly make these pieces work. We had a certain image in mind for our bathroom, and they made it come alive. We would certainly work with them again!

Simon was very professional! From fist conversation to completed project everything went smoothly, competently and very quickly. None of the problems one hears about some contractors. His workers were also very skilled and efficient. The work area was left spotless. All things considered a good experience.

Great! James is a true craftsman and very detail oriented. Both James and Joel were respectful of me and my home - keeping it clean, draping the work areas and protecting the floors. When I wanted additional work done, Simon was quick to respond and made sure I understood the impact on timing and budget. Best of all, I love my updated bathrooms and entry.

Torn down the old deck and replaced a new one. Workmanship was was good. The price was fair and got the deck work done.

Simon and his crew were very professional and hard workers. The job was over 200,000 dollars and was done in a very timely manner for the amount of work that they performed. We are very happy with the outcome. Simon is very honorable and ethical. He truly wants to do everything to please you and your vision and have the best outcome. Our deck was over thirty years old and was becoming unsafe. When my wife and I decided to replace the deck we contacted SCS Contracting. I am an insurance agent and I insure several contractors that I could have called. I know I made the right decision by calling SCS. Simon and his team exceeded our expectations. They had free reign of our home for two weeks. They were very professional and offered suggestions that made our deck better than we could have expected. They do what they say and more. You can't go wrong with these guys!

Hes done work for me over the years, I would say that Simon's work is stellar. I just gave him a list on an old house, they did all kinds of services including sheet rock, new lighting. I'm so happy with them that I have even hired him again for a new porch project.

Went really well, the finished product looks nice. Its all the material that I requested, the timing was a little slow but it was for problems out of their control.

Able to see our vision and make it a reality. They listened to what we wanted and worked with us. The tile work is amazing. We did a bathroom tile countertop with decorative tile back splash and a vessel sink. Deck is magnificent! New deck boards with black aluminum rails and new stairs. We knew the deck need some work. Simon was able to tell us right away what was out of code and what we needed to do. Replaced a structural beam in the basement with no signs of drywall cracking. Everything was done correctly the first time. Cleaned up the job site and kept us informed. Exterior house painter did an excellent job. Our house is a one story in the front and a two story in the back. The painter was very thorough and detail oriented. The preparation and painting was done correctly and with care. We couldn't be happier and really like the new color too. Overall, we are really happy with all the work they did. We felt the price was fair and the work was done quickly and with care and quality. This is the second time I have had SCS Contracting out to do a job for me. The first time was a remodel of my duplex, we had walls moved, new counter tops, new kitchen appliances installed, doors expanded, and a total bathroom remodel. Simon and his crew were absolutely terrific in speed, quality, and craftmanship in the build out of the duplex. Simon is very responsive to any and all requests made and is very upfront and reasonable on cost of any additional requests. This time I had a second deck built on the other side of the duplex and I had the privacy fence between the two units rebuilt as well. I am also having Simon and his crew move and re-install my kitchen appliances in the other side of the duplex. Simon and his crew have been just the same as the first time with speed, quality, and craftmanship being absolutely terrific. I have enjoyed having Simon and his crew do the work I needed and will continue to use them as more jobs come up. I have referred Simon and his crew to my mother in law as well, she was looking for someone to do some construction work on her house, and with the quality Simon and his crew delivers, it was a no-brainer to refer them to her.

I best service I have ever had!! Got a price quote, super fast install (on a Saturday!!) and super professional. My mother-in-law cried when she saw her new carpet!! Simon was on top of everything and responded to my millions of text questions super fast. Thank you again!!

Quality, fair priced, trustworthy. Simon and Eric remodeled our bathrooms exactly the way we wanted for what was a very fair price. The result was beautiful. Simon always answered my phone calls and sent me texts and emails to keep me up to date. We now have the rarest of all: a contractor we trust. Simon is now working on covering our deck and finishing our basement. Believe it or not, I kind of wish we had more for him to do. I look forward to working with him again.

We started with a finishing up a botched job, by another contractor that we fired, of adding a bathroom to a laundry room in the basement. Simon's crew did such a professional job that we decided to get all of the changes to our house that we had planned for the future. This included a new open concept kitchen, new pantry, new beautiful stair treads and banister, new 12' X 20' deck off our living room/sun room, refinishing and updating the gas fireplace, combining two small bedrooms and a small master bath into a large master bedroom and larger updated bathroom and refinishing all of the oak floors.. The masterpiece though was the sunroom that was 11" down from the kitchen on concrete and cold as heck during the winter with old leaky windows. His master craftsman, James, created a work of art with that room. Fully insulated, new windows, beautiful cedar work on walls and windows. Simon and his crew were fair and accurate in their pricing. They worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. They were always there when they said they would be. Their work is so good we want them to build a small office in our back yard for business. We'll let you know how that goes. We recommend Simon's company for anyone who wants a quality job of renovation done. I could not put the price in the next field successfully so I will include it here. The entire cost of the project was $130,000.00. Later we will add pictures to this review.
