Shaw Plumbing Heating & Air Conditiong

Not reliable. Home has a 2020 tankless system that continues to fail. Shaw has visited 4 times in the past 18 months to service and no solution has resolved the problems. Had appointment today for 1-3pm window. Shaw called and shared technician was elbows deep in another job and will not make it today- at 1:15pm. I explained our family has no hot water for the 2nd consecutive day and we needed emergency service. Got nothing but run around and excuses. Look elsewhere for a group that keeps its word, shows up when they are supposed to, and goes the little extra for a family in need. So disappointed.

I have used Shaw Plumbing and Heating for a plumbing repair and more recently for gas furnace filter replacement and servicing. On both occasions I would rate their performance 5 star. Jason and his helper had to work in a confined area with difficult access but they were cheerful, informative, and pleasant to have around.

Cory R. diagnosed the horrible odor under the kitchen sink to be the rubber dishwasher hose and replaced it with a PVC hose. Problem solved and I was very grateful. So happy I called Shaw Plumbing !

Excellent workmanship, friendly, knowledgeable.

Called for estimate to replace garbage disposal (leaking) and replace kitchen faucet. Also other estimates for hot water heater, two bathroom replacement parts. While Nathan was going over everything for estimates, had several faucets and disposals with him so installed both of these while here. Did an excellent job, knowledgeable, polite. When he returned to the shop, they provided estimates to do further work. When we are ready, we will call Shaw for our plumbing needs.

The boys came back out this afternoon and installed a water softening system. (They were out this morning and installed a new kitchen faucet and disposal) They are absolutely the best - right on time, knowledgeable, personable & so good at what they do. I also love the fact that they're a local family owned business. Customer service is grea!. Thanks!!

We were in an Emergent situation & needed a hot water heater A S. A P !! Mik came to give us an estimate and said he could instal us a Bradford white 50 gal tank with a 7;year warranty ! ( gas water heater / The old one had to be removed & hauled up some steep stairs &was pretty heavy with the yuk that accumulates in them!) Thank you so much!

Great experience! Ryan is exactly who you want representing your business. Ryan replaced a water heater, and two toilets, as well as several small projects. There was no attempt to get us to buy or have installed anything. Ryan was up front about Pricing, and actually kept us from spending more than was necessary. The quality of work was spot on. Shaw Plumbing of Spokane will be our go to from now On.

Shaw plumbing Services was here to install water to a new refrigerator that is coming in October. They did a great job, as there was some difficulty due to this home being built in 1979 and no water has ever been ran from the downstairs to the refrigerator upstairs. Nathan came in and got everything done perfectly, he also installed a garbage disposal for us and fixed our on/off water valve. Nathan is a great guy and a hard worker, we are impressed and will give all of our future plumbing needs to Shaw Plumbing Services! Thank you so much, Keri

I just had a water heater installed by Shaw Plumbing, and others should be aware of their price gouging and exaggerated charges. The price for the installation was well beyond industry standard which was then padded with additional fees/expenses that one would expect in the normal course of replacement. In addition to the already shamelessly inflated price for the water heater replacement, I was charged an additional $118 for a $7 shutoff valve, as if this was some kind of laborious addition to the already exaggerated charges. The shutoff valve fits in the same supply they had already charged me for, which is blatant price gouging. Then, I was charged an additional $418 to remove (unscrew) a very accessible 12-inch piece of supply pipe and replace it with Pex pipe (2 fittings and 12" of pipe = less than $10 and 15 minutes). Again, one would assume that this would be included in the ordinary installation quote, or at the very least to be charged actual time and materials. Overall, I was charged more than double the cost of a reasonable water heater installation. This is a rental property, which houses a family with two small children. I was not able to be on site for the repair but trusted that I would be treated fairly when approving the work. Instead, they took advantage of the situation and padded the repair with exaggerated, commissioned fees and charges. This was a very simple, easy, and straightforward replacement. I did not expect them to be the least expensive contractor, but I always expect honesty and to be treated fairly. It took seven unreturned calls and messages to reach Clay, the General Manager, who agreed to discount the invoice, but then later declined to honor his offer - bad business, and a complaint has been filed with Better Business Bureau. I was charged over $3100 for this replacement. I am concerned that Shaw Plumbing is a dishonest, predatorial contractor and would be very cautious when choosing this company. I suggest everyone know what the actual costs are and beware of dishonest price gouging.
