As the world adjusts with all the COVID-19 related changes, Ron Morris & Son business has had to adapt and adjust when providing their services. With that being said, they were able to still work my family into their schedule promptly. Two years ago, we replaced our central AC unit through them, and we now needed a new furnace(as it was nearly 40years old!) Now that COVID has me working from home, and kids home full time, they were in and out of here by lunch leaving me with a very clean and smooth running Furnace. A cool home, just in time before the heat arrived. They are committed to keeping their prices fair and customer service as high as possible during this pandemic. They also have taken personal measure towards protecting our health and safety has made a difference. Thank you.
Description of Work: Remove old and replace new furnace

We did all the consumer research and visited all of the places. We liked the looks of the flusher fitting Regency gas fireplace insert and I got all the right answers to my questions regarding my 21 year old insert. Alex came out the next day to verify the installation situation. He told me what I could do to prep for installation (I removed the old insert & flue liner, cleaned and painted then arranged to have Avista to come out the day before installation to add a A9 gas line shut off valve). The day of the installation the crew called just before arriving at 8:00am. They were very thorough and efficient. Said it would take 4 hours and it did. Gave us the needed info for using the remote. We spent good money for hopefully a quality product and received great service. We did our homework before hand and I felt comfortable with what I was getting. I enjoyed being able to do all of the work to get things prepped for installation to save a little money, the fire place looks great and I am pleased with the whole process. Now we are just waiting for the weather to allow us to put it to good use.
Description of Work: Sold and installed a replacement gas fire place insert.

Not so good. 1. Fireplace purchased with agreed price, wrong price at pick up, price was adjusted prior to payment in full. 2. Fireplace was dented on side (not visible after install) and a small dent on the front. Reported damage, didn't matter. 3. Missed appointment, Call from center later that day for new apt. date 4. When a visit was made , We were charged $85/ an hour for test and fire when we had been told the charge would be $149.00 for the full service prior to purchase. That visit cost us $223.00 If you choose to do business there, make sure you get estimates and any other pertinent costs in writing up front prior to purchase. Good Luck
Description of Work: I purchased the gas fireplace, installed it and had provider ( The Fireplace Center) fire it and test it.

Gas stove install - Never gave final estimate on install , padded bill sitting almost one hour waiting for tally from office , i refused to pay for sit time. Install almost as much as stove, very slow doing a simple install, easy access, straight out wall, easy roof access for pipe. Two guys came out, only one did any work, he seemed unhappy. Had come out earlier date for install but installer stated we needed tile base to put stove on, we had wood floor, owner who did visual had stated we did not need tile, they wanted me to pay for that drive in and out, I did not. Provided no help finding someone to dig gas line trench and did not know proper permitting process for this install in manufactured home. Husband had to do all this. Inside gas line leaked 3 days after install, they refused to come out without payment, found I really had no warranty on any of it. Told me to call propane gas company. Secretary was very rude, Ron was even ruder and this while I am evacuating 4 animals out of house in very cold weather hoping it all isn't going to blow. On furnace install, lots of excuses about moving empty oil tank from basement, essentially did not want to do it. Two big farmers took it up the stairs for nothing to use on their property. Were instructed to reininstall electronic air filter on new furnace, agreed but did not run electricity to it ( realized one year later) and ran condensation piping in front of door so we could not put filters in it, they put a fiber box filter inside it. We were not going to allow them back after the gas stove install issues so will use some one else to fix this. Ron knew how to permit this and work with avista to get gas in to house. Seems to be a well running furnace. Their N division address is across the street from another fireplace installer's address I had used before, I did not realize I had not hired them until I drove up there to talk to them about my stove install. One could say I have only myself to blame but really, don't hire these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I I started this process in September, wanted to get rebate for furnace upgrade with end date of oct 30th from avista, they missed this date by two days. Turns out electronic filter was in backwards and electric left hanging loose so couldnt have worked anyway, they put a disposable filter in there instead.
