Our furnace was not producing heat. We called to schedule an appointment and they were able to come over the next day which we were thankful for. The worker showed up checked out our furnace and determined what was wrong pretty quickly, within 15 mins he knew what needed to be fixed, unfortunately he did not have the part and needed to go to his warehouse to get it. The worker was gone for over an hour and when he returned it only took him another 15 mins to install the part. All and all he was in our house for about 30 mins fixing our furnace. When we received the invoice it had over 2 hours of labor. I called the receptionist to inquire about the charges. From the moment she answered the phone she was extremely rude. She informed me that travel time is apart of the charge. How is not having the part on your work vehicle my expense? What if you had to order the part? My bill would have been 7-10 days of labor plus shipping fees. Her response was "Well do you want your heat on or not?" We will NOT be using this company again. Her tone and rudeness is reason enough to be in a freezing house then deal with then again.

On gas stove install, never gave me a final estimate on install, padded bill sitting almost an hour waiting for tally from office which i refused to pay by the way. Install almost as much as stove. Were very slow doing a simple install, easy access, straight out wall, easy roof access for pipe. Initially came out to house to install after telling us stove did not require tile floor base so couldn't install until base in, tried to charge us for that visit too. Provided no help finding someone to put in outside gas line and didn't care. Had no idea about inspection process for this job, husband fortunately has experience in this area and did all of the leg work and permit work. ( this is a manufactured home, if you don't know what you are doing say so up front and learn how to do it or don't take the job) Inside gas line leaked within three days of install, they refused to come out, told me to call gas company. there was essentially no warranty for the job. Secretary was very rude, then Ron called me and was rude as well, while I am moving 4 pets out of the house and hoping it isn't going to blow. On gas furnace install, refused to remove oil tank in basement - lots of excuses as to how hard it would be but honestly two big farm hands carried it up the stairs for free to use on their property (was empty and husband had it disconnected) reinstalled electronic air filter from other furnace but blocked access to filters with condensation pipe from new furnace. Ron knew how to permit this job and got it done in timely manner as promised, seems to work ok , but exam this fall will tell all.

I have had my last negative experience with Ron Morris and Sons. They put our systems with many errors, and being an optimist, I wanted to give them a chance to make things right. All they do is find ways to charge you for multiple trips and never fix anything. With as many choices as there are for heating and cooling contractors, there is no reason to endure the poor quality and poor customer service that they have demonstrated to me. And yes, the rudeness is incredible.

It was a nightmare. First they did a bait and switch and supplied a cheaper hearth than the one I ordered. The stovepipe was angled incorrectly, thus allowing smoke to backflow into the room, unbelievably, the installed one of the stoves sideways so that the door wouldn't open all the way! They also broke se3veral stair treads and damaged the carpet. Numerous phone calls and rudeness. After complaining about him to friends, I was told "Oh everyone knows how bad he is". We had to get another contractor to come out and fix the stovepipe. I never did get the hearth I paid for.
Description of Work: Two stoves were installed, with hearths.

Customer service was great in the showroom - lots of information and friendliness. Once the stove was installed, it didn't burn properly. The stovepipe installation was also not done properly so that rain leaked into the house. This is when this company became unresponsive to the extreme. They came out and fixed the leak fairly quickly but having them respond to my calls about the stove not burning were ignored until I had made a number of calls. One of the owners, who sold me the stove would not deal with me directly if he could avoid it and had someone else return my calls. They finally sent someone who took two hours to ascertain that yes, this stove does not burn (time I had to take from work as they only work during regular business hours). Eventually, another model was installed (more of my time) and it does work although there is some smoke leakage into the house. The crews that came to my house were great, friendly, responsive, and seemed to take care in their work. My complaint is with the ownership of the company who seem to think that customer service ends at the time of sale. I asked for a price adjustment due to all the hassles and the person in the office said that they wouldn't make any money in that case so she doubted they would. When pressed, she agreed to pass on my request to the owners and they never responded. The attitude that they displayed once I had a problem was one of rudeness, disbelief and unresponsiveness.
